Day 57 (19/07): Today I checked the trichomes at 60x magnification again today and they are looking really good, I would say that half are clear and half are now cloudy. The pistils have also pretty much all dried up and I think that the girls will be reading for a flush soon already! I will ask for opinions of other growers towards the end of week 9 when the trichomes are all cloudy. Day 58 (20/07): The girls are looking good today and the buds are definitely looking more and more like they are taking their beautiful form. I am very curious to see what the weight difference will be of the final product between the two. Day 59 (21/07): I am now checking the trichomes very frequently and today in the evening I already saw a few amber trichomes on Plant A and a little bit less on plant R. I went so quickly from cloudy to amber that I didn’t even have to decide about flushing. I think I will keep growing them still a few more days and at the next watering (probably last) will not give them any nutrients and just feed 1.5L of water. The AK is how ready however so I will have to make a box for these girls to dry in while the AK still finishes growing in the tent. Will think of ideas for drying box tomorrow. Day 60 (22/07): Today I watered the girls with just 1.5L of plain water because I think they are ready for harvest soon. Checking the trichomes, there are more and more trichomes turning amber so maybe I will even harvest at the end of the week. As the AK will still need a week or two, I will be cutting down the Green Gelatos, trimming them and handing them on coat hangers and inside a big box. The box will have loads of holes for ventilation and it will be standing below and a bit to the side of the ventilation pipe that is the exhaust of the tent (we do not have a second fan so this will have to do for now). I have currently set up the box in the place that it will be and put a hygrometer inside to test for temperature and humidity so I can understand what the environment in the room will need to be. The room itself where the tent and box are is quite small so it should be easy to control the environment. The only concern is smell but hopefully the AK can catchup by the time and drying buds can be moved into the tent. Day 61 (23/07): Today the first thing I noticed is that Plant A’s fan leaves have started to go yellow which is because of the “flush” as she is not receiving nutrients anymore. There are definitely more amber trichomes now but still not enough over the whole plant. For example, the main bud has the highest concentration of amber trichomes but on the other buds there are still only a few, so they both need more time. Day 62 (24/07): The girls look good today and I keep checking the trichomes but they are still roughly the same as yesterday. I will need to assess closer to the end of the week if they are ready to be harvested or will need to go onto the next week. Day 63 (25/07): Today I was taking another look at the trichomes and there seem to be more amber ones on both plants but not too many more. I will be assessing tomorrow whether to harvest them or to water them and leave them to grow for a few more days. I tried to include some pictures of close up trichomes to show the amber colours but it is quite difficult to get so close and be able to focus.

Hello fellow growers! Does anyone know why there is quite a difference in the size of leaves between the two seedlings? They were planted at the same time and are treated the same. Could it be a defective seed or will the smaller plant catch up later?

Hey cookie, So there will almost always be some variation with plants of the same strain, the smaller may turn out to be the better of the 2 in the end. It looks like you're doing all the right things for them, root juice, good temp and reasonable RH, so it's probably just a patient game. The only things i noticed with your week is , maybe watering at lights out could be stressing the one...sitting in wet soil that's probably getting a little chilly since the lights are off and if any fans are on. Also just from personal experience, i used to mist all my plants to boost humidity but I wasn't letting the water sit for a few hours and let the chlorine evaporate and it ended up giving me lots of leaf irritation and some spotting, which also might have been combined with misting during lights on versus misting at lights out. Just something to be mindful of if you see any problems pop up. Happy growing. ✌️

Hello everyone! One of my plants has some fan leaves and new leaves yellowing at the bottom (and some are crispy). The plant is very bushy but from what I understand this could be nitrogen deficiency but wanted to check. The other plant is smaller and doesn't have yellow leaves

I checked your diary pics. No deficiencies. Natural dying of older leaves that dont receive much light.

Hello growers! I have what seem to be burn spots on the leaves of one of my plants. I've also noticed the tips of the plant are dry as well. The temperatures have been quite high so that could be why but wanted to check if it could be a deficiency. Any ideas?

Good farming. Just stopped I not check out the competition on the newbie contest. I just wanted to add that if you let your cute get below 45%, the bacteria die, and can't transform the chlorophyll after 52%. They stop at 55%, and die at 52%. I am sure it is still fire, but you could have reduced the green taste even more. Good luck!

@TastyBudzz, This guy has some good info. He been around for awhile. You can also find Mr. Grow it on YouTube. Not affiliated with either, they just helped my understanding of bacteria during cure. https://www.edrosenthal.com/the-guru-of-ganja-blog/four-options-for-small-scale-drying-and-curing-of-cannabis

@LeafTucker, im most interested on how fungi and bacteria feed the plants . Is there there any good data on how to feed the soil verses the plant. my guess is temperature plays a big role in the soil for what types of bacteria and fungi flourish good or bad. im guessing that adding sugar feeds the bacteria but the temperature and what bacteria and fungi are present will either give you good results or huge problems. all about reducing the green vegative taste and the bite that usualy goes with it.
