Day 64 (26/07): I was planning on harvesting today both Plant A and R but upon closer inspection there were amber trichomes mainly on the sugar leaves but not that much on the actual bud. So I will water them today and wait a few more days under the soil is dry for them to become a bit more ready with the trichomes. I first actually watered with the normal 1.5L but then did not see any run off at all so decided to water with a total of 2L of plain water for each girl. Day 65 (27/07): Today when checking the trichomes there are still about 10% of amber trichomes on the plants overall. I would say the concentration of amber trichomes is quite similar in both plants at the moment so I think they should be ready to harvest together. I will need to check them closer to the time though to make the final decision. Day 66 (28/07): Today I saw a SEED in plant A, it was just sticking out from one of the buds! I’ve read that seeding can be induced by stress or over-matureness. They have definitely suffered through a lot of stress with high temperatures and unstable humidity before the humidifier so that is possible. It is also possible that plant A has over-matured and I have left it too long because it has looked ready for harvest. I have just been waiting on the trichomes to get more amber but I was planning on harvesting it tomorrow anyway. Plant R now has more amber on its sugar leaves but still same on the buds. Day 67 (29/07): Today is the big day to harvest one of the girls, Plant A! I checked the trichomes this morning and I was happy with how many ambers there were and how plump the buds were. I will be including the pictures and some videos on next week’s harvest week alongside Plant R so it’s not confusing. The process went well and I wet trimmed it and froze the sugar leaves as we will be making bubble hash from those. I tried to trim off as many leaves as I could but it was taking a while so I left some tiny ones in so it helps the buds not dry too fast as well. I have put the buds to dry in a box just outside the tent with some holes to make sure that it is ventilated. When I put the buds in the temperature was 24.8C and humidity was at 47%. For plant R I think it still needs one or two days because the amber trichomes are not quite there yet. Day 68 (30/07): Happy days, Plant R was harvested today so now both of the girls are finally drying. We did the same process as with the first one and have now put them both into the same box to dry as our third girl is still finishing up in the tent. I guess this marks the last day of the diary and we are not even fully finished with the week. Plant A’s wet weight was 150g with the sticks and plant R was 120g, so should be a great overall harvest when dried and cured. We will now be letting the girls dry for a few days and I will be posting the pictures of the harvest and the final weight before we put them away to cure. I am making sure to maintain the humidity inside the box between 45-55% and have put a dehumidifier to control this as well. Hopefully nothing bad happens during the drying!

Hello fellow growers! Does anyone know why there is quite a difference in the size of leaves between the two seedlings? They were planted at the same time and are treated the same. Could it be a defective seed or will the smaller plant catch up later?

Hey cookie, So there will almost always be some variation with plants of the same strain, the smaller may turn out to be the better of the 2 in the end. It looks like you're doing all the right things for them, root juice, good temp and reasonable RH, so it's probably just a patient game. The only things i noticed with your week is , maybe watering at lights out could be stressing the one...sitting in wet soil that's probably getting a little chilly since the lights are off and if any fans are on. Also just from personal experience, i used to mist all my plants to boost humidity but I wasn't letting the water sit for a few hours and let the chlorine evaporate and it ended up giving me lots of leaf irritation and some spotting, which also might have been combined with misting during lights on versus misting at lights out. Just something to be mindful of if you see any problems pop up. Happy growing. ✌️

Hello everyone! One of my plants has some fan leaves and new leaves yellowing at the bottom (and some are crispy). The plant is very bushy but from what I understand this could be nitrogen deficiency but wanted to check. The other plant is smaller and doesn't have yellow leaves

I checked your diary pics. No deficiencies. Natural dying of older leaves that dont receive much light.

Hello growers! I have what seem to be burn spots on the leaves of one of my plants. I've also noticed the tips of the plant are dry as well. The temperatures have been quite high so that could be why but wanted to check if it could be a deficiency. Any ideas?

Good farming. Just stopped I not check out the competition on the newbie contest. I just wanted to add that if you let your cute get below 45%, the bacteria die, and can't transform the chlorophyll after 52%. They stop at 55%, and die at 52%. I am sure it is still fire, but you could have reduced the green taste even more. Good luck!

@TastyBudzz, This guy has some good info. He been around for awhile. You can also find Mr. Grow it on YouTube. Not affiliated with either, they just helped my understanding of bacteria during cure. https://www.edrosenthal.com/the-guru-of-ganja-blog/four-options-for-small-scale-drying-and-curing-of-cannabis

@LeafTucker, im most interested on how fungi and bacteria feed the plants . Is there there any good data on how to feed the soil verses the plant. my guess is temperature plays a big role in the soil for what types of bacteria and fungi flourish good or bad. im guessing that adding sugar feeds the bacteria but the temperature and what bacteria and fungi are present will either give you good results or huge problems. all about reducing the green vegative taste and the bite that usualy goes with it.
