I had like 16 seeds all off the one plant by the window which I had a small light leak I found.
Buds got much thicker then the stems but I maybe removed leaves to early which transfers nutrients.
The light may have been to close during veg. More lights you have the higher they should go from the recommended amount I feel.
So one thing about this strain that was kind of a bummer was the smells were literally all over the place in a great way. Sour gummies worms from the keef, diesle/gas from the leaves, and lemon hard candy/carrots/dab carts from the buds but when smoked it, the floral taste was so rounded that the other smells never came thru except the purple one that had tight smaller buds, had a lemony taste still. (Remember had to cut early from braking).
On the other hand, the way this plant grew had me in a state of personal amazement. I was actully super excited telling my friends that it got TOO BIG for the branches. Buds stacked perfectly on every plant. The topping and recover time went smooth. She shaped nicely right before flower. And back to my negative statement that I had..... the smells were INCREDIBLE!!! I recommend it to everyone soly for the smells.
So I accidently split one of my plants trying to level out one side with the other by tightening the ties.... i tapped it and tied it.
Is this plant gonna still grow ok or am I gonna need to tie up each branch when budding?
Don't worry as long as you keep it tied down, it will recover and get really strong.
Keep it tied because it might split up again when getting heavier buds.
Am starting flower and was wondering how to do the sun tan effect without burning to bring out color. Should I drop my flowering light down from 18in to 14 in the last hour of the day then back up to 18 after rest the last two weeks of flower? Or is my guess completely off?
Sun tan effect, skip that. Sounds like shit. Buy few UV bulbs and whip some ultra violet radiation for plants now and then. Even easier is to grow right, do the basics and a lot of trichome rich, potent buds will he produced that way 👍
So I was wondering about plant anatomy, I have been pinching off new branches from the intra nodes. Denying the plant new tops making 16 main tops. Will buds still form down the 16 mains from the top or did I just pick all the buds sites down the plant...!?
Looks like you did a great job, you've got a lot of tops which is what you want, I'm sure you're not wanting any popcorn buds? SO... If the answer is no? PERFECT JOB !!!
With the way they look right now would tieing every arm apart a little at week 4 be safe and make a difference? Or should I leave them alone being so late into flower?
So.... I realized I forgot about something..... when I transplanted I forgot that my soil is fully balanced for 4 to 6 weeks with low levels of phosphorus and ph balanced. So the nitrogen burn I've been experiencing (learned from other diaries)is still there cus no matter how much I reduced the nutrients, it was probably to much nitrogen. Going to run straight distilled checking ph with maybe a little cal mag for 3 waterings in a row then half the nutrients and cut out nitrogen strong ones completely for 1 watering. I'll be swaping to flower on thursday for the first day of week 9.
Just to clear up any confusion my led lights actual draw on Amazon said 320w for 4 of my bloom boost version. I have one older version that says online its actual draw is 220w. But one thing that confused me is recently as apelila grows. I re checked amazon. And my same order was edited to say my actual draw is only 220 for my bloom boosted and 200 for my normal light. If anyone has any clarity on this feel free to comment. But now they say my total wattage for my 5 is 1080. Down from 1500w actual draw. :/. But on the upside my 81$ light is now 93$ and my 89$ light is now 119$ so that's a save. My light meter says 50000 to 55000 lux with 3500k white, and red leds.
Thank you for the answers. I've just been doing a lot of reading and and asking questions that I never had before with things I've been seeing and alot of new stuff pops up that I never read before. And if I'm curious about it I'd like to hear thoughts. Also I love this website for its access to info. I noticed others with problems like mine and am figureing it out. Growing right is the goal!
