7/20-7/26
PZ has sprawled and is touching or within an in of 3 sides of tent. Been under 12/12 for 8 days now and still not really showing any pistils. BK is starting to show pistils now and tops are starting to look like flowering sites. Both plants seem to be thriving. Given how the PZ is a much faster growing plant and the way it responds to training it should be a perfect strain for scrogging. Next indoor grow will be 2 PZ (if I like the strain once its dried and cured) in 5 gal containers with a scrog. Will switch over to "early bloom" levels of nutrients this week. Still feeding twice plain water once, each week for both plants
7/21 opened tent and found Peyote Zkittlez completely wilted (pic above). Soil was completely dried out. Soil was also dry in Bubba but plant wasn't affected nearly as much. Fed and watered both and within an hour she had fully recovered. Will be increasing watering to 1/2 gal/day on PZ and 1/2 gal EOD on Bubba. Also note for this strain on next run will increase to 7 Gal fabric pot and decrease added perlite to 10%.
7/24 Stretching like crazy raised lights, may have to get creative if the PZ doesn't slow its vertical growth
@Thewendigo, yes its getting frosty, (not nearly as much so as the Bubba Kush though), the big notice is the smell, one of the sweetest smelling varieties I've grown so far!! I am impressed enough that I started another PZ outside, (usually don't grow the same strain back to back) setting her up for my first attempt at "scrogging". She'll be brought in to the tent as soon as this run is finished up and flipped to flower about 10 days later.
@DunDerma, thanks. Cant believe I missed the seeds. I mean I spend time with my plants nearly every day, never saw a male flower, and missed the developing seeds. I hope her room mate didn't get it as well. I guess I shouldn't gripe though, its still good sticky icky and its only for personal consumption so its really a non issue as long as they're not completely loaded
@Thewendigo, Having the exact same germ ratio with the Bubba Kush strain also from Seedsman. I'm going to sow a couple more today and if the results are the same I guess I'll be shopping a different seed bank. Seedsman prices are good, but only if the genetics are stable.
