Just about ready to flip to flower now, scrog not quite gone as planned because the net is weak and the holes too spaced so will try a proper scrog next grow but still looking good lot of good growth ready for flower so think veg gone pretty well for first grow
Looking forward to seeing the bud sites start to develop, hope things in flower go well
Can someone please share an opinion on what these marks may be, I'm also getting yellowing on the very first bottom leaves
First time growing so opinions are much appreciated
Thanks ๐
Could be just nicks and bumps. Lower leaves dies off as bigger one develop is normal.
In any case, your are growing haze hybrids and you should prepare incase there will be bugs attack down the line.
First decide on a strategy. Then get your anti-insect regimen ready. For me, I spray microbes to handle bugs.
If you have spider mite infestation, there won't be many days left before plants are ruined.
Haze usually have strong resistance to mold. Also your humidity is low. So, I would not worry about mold in your grow.
Hi all, after some advice on my plants, bottom leaves have started to go yellow and some have died and are crisp, the SA1 is dropping a quite a bit as seen.
Want to get these right as its first time growing experience isnt there, all opinions and advice is valued
Thank you
Droop is either a sign of under or overwatering.. only you could really tell which it might be here. The yellowing of lower leaves that aren't receiving much light aren't a big worry. I've pulled off quite a few. If you see problems arise on new growth or stuff that seems to be getting alot of light and now deep inside or way down low then i'd be more worried. Hope this helps friend. Happy growing!๐
Hi all, after advice on my droopy little bit sad looking plants, first grow so no prev exp, first signs of unhealthy plants so far really, the bottom leaves have gone yellow and are crisps on parts flaking
Thanks for advice already had
All advice is valued and thanks in advance
the bottom leaves yellowing is pretty normal. they do not receive very much light. the things that concern me would be the drooping leaves.
Looking I believe maybe they where just watered which would explain why the leaves are drooping but the brownish spots usually are a sign of a Cal/Mag deficiency.
Can I still prune some branches and/or some leaves as plants are really bushy? Struggling with humidity, it's really quite warm but dull and humid at moment in uk and humidity has is around 40-50 lights on but lights off I've caught it at 60-65! Need to but a dehumidifier asap
If RH is too high then go ahead and defoliate from the center of the plant to increase airflow. This won't necessarily reduce RH much, but it makes mold much less likely. It shouldn't take too much to open her up either so she probably won't even feel it. Do it all in one sitting though, you don't want to have to go back in a second time.
Heya Rob96,
You can still remove some but I wouldnโt go crazy. Can start with removing a couple each branch. RH isnโt too high with lights off, thatโs where I sit in my tent with lights off. I donโt see it as too much of a concern as Iโm always 45 with lights on and then dial it down with the bud swell when sheโs really close.
Cheers and good luck!
Does this bud look ok and healthy, bud looks a little dark and has had a few leaves go a strange brown/goldish colour, cant tell 100% with lack of experience, the part with the discoloration does smell a little less strong than the rest of the bud, any advice much appreciated
If those brown leaves are slimy, it's likely bud rot. If they are just crispy, you may be fine.
Just a bonus, it looks like you're still going a bit heavy on the nitrogen...
Are my plants ready, they are getting drier and leaves crisping up, I keep checking trichomes every day but too much amber yet just odd bits, I'm trying to hold out a little for a heavier stony high like a night time smoke but not wanting to go too far and ruin it, any advice
Heya!
Kind of hard to tell by the picture but, if you judge by the pistils usually 70-90% ambered is a good time to harvest. The best way is to use a small microscope or jewelers loupe to have a glance at the trichromes. Most people harvest when all the trichromes are milky to 30% amber. If you harvest with more milky trichs it will produce more of a head high effect, where as more amber trichromes will give you the couch lock effect.
I would suggest looking at the trichs if you can, I have had plants ready to harvest with lots of white pistils left still and some where they were all brown.
Cheers and good luck!
Hey man, good luck with your grow!
I recently bought a green qube tent, you are also using it? What do you think about the quality?
Im doing a run with liberty haze right now.
@Chlorophyll_Junkie, yeah I had a jewelers loupe but I found it wasnt quite enough zoom so I bought a cheap microscope with a little light on off Ebay for like ยฃ4 works really well, to be honest I've had a really tough week this week I've suffered another bit of rot, I've upgraded my intake and got a better dehumidifier to stop it in its tracks, had a big cola on Liberty Haze brown inside and really wet and another on strawberry amnesia 3 gutted and to be honest not too sure why humidity probably because I've caught it at 65 lights off but seen a improvement now with better intake and dehumidifier, doesnt look to have spread further fingers crossed it hasn't, gutted enough as it is, I know it's a learning curve and all part of the experience so gonna carry on regardless, gonna go really light on water and try best to water as early as possible with lights just on
@Chlorophyll_Junkie, thanks a lot for the comments mate much appreciated, not bad for first time, getting close now, on day 56 of flower and these are around 65 days flower gonna give a good flush tonight as I just havent been able to around work last few days.
I am excited to see how your Strawberry Amnesia turns out. I am growing a cutting from last round and she is one of my favorite smokes. The bean I popped grows hella lanky though, I think I might pop the rest next run and take cuttings from the best. Looking good though, keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing her develop!
@FoTwenny, hi thanks for the kind comments, really happy to say its first time growing proper looking forward to seeing the buds to start forming and seeing the work pay off, your big mix grow looks brilliant and some great photos on there, must be a bit challenging growing that many strains at once
@DinafemSeeds, cheers mark they have really fattened up this week, should see a good change when I next post in couple of days the stretch has pretty much stopped now and buds getting bigger and bigger, thanks for following and thanks for the comment ๐๐
@@decam, cheers buddy, happy so far especially to say its first te growing, fingers crossed they do as well in flower as they have so far, cheers for the comment๐๐
@FoTwenny, I'm debating what to try next with this being my first one got so many too choose from I have no experience with, been looking at barneys farm ayahuasca purple, looks amazing and 100% Indica like a nice heavy night time smoke as that's usually the main time I get to sit and chill
@FoTwenny, will keep eyes peeled for it being cropped bd interesting to see the yeild aswell cos the buds look great quality, looks good quantity aswell as quality
@FoTwenny, ahh I see, i was worried mine were gonna stretch too far towards the light but luckily they have managed to stop at just the right height, and yes mine have decent buds even quite low down especially for how bushy they are, il keep an eye out for you harvest week on the diary once all finished๐๐
@Rob96, That was on plant. She had a long veg time. I didn't think she would yield much, but she was the stretchiest in the garden and all her buds were nice soft yet dense all the way through the bottom of the plant. That number is just an estimate based on what fit in the jars, but I still need to get in and clean it up. I've been working in trim in my free time for the past couple weeks.
@Canna96, thank you, I will bare that in mind, think they will definitely be toppling over if not soon look like they're going to be some really good heavy colas
Thank you for choosing our Strawberry Amnesia for this Grow Diaries adventure ๐
We are excited to see what you can do ๐ค
All the best โ๏ธ
