Looking forward to getting involved in this contest. Had a few teething issues and dodgy equipment the past couple plants so hoping to have got most mistakes out the way for this one. Started seeds for 18 hours dropped in a glass of 5.8 PH water (will be using this PH from here on so figured I dont want any kind of shock) Day 2 - seed dropped to the bottom of the glass so I soaked in paper towel and wet with PH 5.8 water Day 3 - seed has a tap root! So planted into rockwool cube which was PHdd to 5.8 and placed in cupboard in total darkness until it broke the surface. Day 4 - seed is out the cube so have now given about 20ml of PH 5.8 water and placed in propogator with glass of water in to keep humidity high. Sitting between 85-95% RH and temps between 20-28c Day 5 - first set of true leaves, cube was drying out a little so more water of PH 5.8

Damn cant seem to catch a break, was advised online that grodan rockwool cubes no longer need to be buffered. They apprently all come neutral. NOT TRUE! Atleast not with mine, had been trying to figure out why all my plants have been getting stunted in rockwool after a couple weeks and why the PH is fluctuating so wildly putting in 5.6PH and getting 8.4 coming out of runoff! Lesson learned, dont just listen to everything online without checking yourself... Now buffering my next rockwool cube over the next couple days but unfortunately most damage is already done so can expect some disappointing harvests but going to keep going with them and see if i can turn them around. Day 10 - watered with 100ml of ph 5.6 Day 11 - transplanted into 4inch rockwool cube (wasnt buffered to 5.6 so has been rising ever since) Will have to correct the ph slowly as it rises, so going to flush each feeding until runoff comes back under ph 6

Still suffering from not having rockwool correctly PH buffered. Not dying so will keep her going to bounce back and make it work. Has been a little droopy and yellowing so I am upping the nitrogen next week. Was watering wet/dry cycle like soil which ive realised isnt best, going to give 100-150ml feeding a day to keep washing salts away. 2 WEEKS 3 DAYS - Top fed 150ml PH 5.6 EC OUT - 0.48 PH OUT -8.4! (Ec is rising so could be feeding too much for the plants at this stage will back off on next feeding) Going to flush with nutrients until runoff is under 6 Runoff PH now 5.8 Ec - 0.28 2 WEEKS 4 DAYS - found i need to be top feeding ideally as salts can build up when bottom feeding only. Might mix it up but going to mainly keep flushing from top. 2 WEEKS 5 DAYS - going to start hardening her off to go out to greenhouse. Took outside for 30 mins 2 weeks 6 days - took outside for 1 hour 3 weeks - took outside for 2 hours Going to transplant these this week so working up to 5 hours outside before transplanting Thanks for checking out my diary and good luck to you all! 👍

3 weeks 3 days -Transplanted this week into 20L airpot filled with 30% perlite and 70% coco. Prepared coco using 10L of plain water I flushed through the coco when in the pot, not sure if this is recommended or not but I had already started and seemed to do the same just slower. Flushed until runoff EC was down from 0.6 to 0.2 and then buffered back up with cal-mag water @ ph 5.5 until runoff was 0.4 (have seen this is the reasonable amount it should be at if using tap water. Then made a nutrient mix that I would soak the coco with. 0.5ml/l Cal-mag 0.5ml Bio grow 1ml Bio heaven 1ml acti vera 10ml Ecothrive Charge (worm castings) 1tbsp Michorrazae Total EC 0.675 Flushed the nutrients through coco until reading was close to 0.675, I left it at 0.58EC. 3 weeks 4 days - upped nutrients to 1/2 strength as have been careful of over feeding at this stage so probably been slightly under feeding. And looked as though it was showing a deficiency though in hindsight i think it was due to the rockwool ph not being stable throughout the start of its life. 3 weeks 5 days - growing nicely now, has grown 1.5cm in 3 days. Compared to being completely stunted at 4cm! Damn internet can be misleading sometimes! Thanks for checking out my diary and feel free to give any tips on how i can improve on this poor growth! 👍

This week went better since transplanting into coco, think the Ph fluctuations in the rockwool have finally equalized. Definitely learned from that one. Gone 3/4 strength nutrients as showing no signa of burn as it is so upped a little. END OF WEEK RUNOFF VALUES EC IN 1.24 EC OUT 0.665 (not sure whether its coming out much lower due to eating a lot or a more sinister reason. Its not showing issues but growing a little slow in terms of vegetative growth. Stalk is fattening and growing in height so will keep an eye. PH IN 5.7 PH OUT 6.3

Initially after constantly feeding and getting 1/2 the EC in my runoff I went up to full strength nutrients to see if this changed things. It didnt much and also growth didnt improve, in hindsight I shouldve never gone up to full strength nutrients so went back down to 1/2 strength after a couple days. I am using canna coco plus and although it came pre buffered I have read some people have terrible results so I flushed until the runoff ec of coco was 0.2 and then added cal mag until it was 0.4 before transplanting. I think I have a calmag issue now and its "stealing" the cal mag from nutrients as starting to notice some bronzing patches. Realised I shouldve definitely given more cal mag. Doing full strength cal mag now and 1/2 strength nutrients. End of week Ec EC IN 0.19 EC OUT 0.73 PH IN 5.8 PH OUT 6.4 Well learning each time, Ive clearly decided to make these grows very difficult for myself trying to understand rockwool and coco for the first time but il get there im sure! Had realised the growth and calcium deficiencies were to do with the coco using it before the plant could as EC was always lower. Since then ive upped the cal-mag dosage to equate to 0.8 EC and then adding 1/2 strength nutrients. The EC is now gradually rising much closer to the input but now to be careful it doesnt now swing too far the other way and become overfertilized! Will keep an eye on Ec readings. End of week growth has inproved a lot, now beginning to get more of a structure to it and growing about 2cm a day. END OF WEEK EC READINGS EC IN 1.53 EC OUT 0.96

Growth has exploded this week, almost 18cm! Looks like the deficiency has cleared up with using a higher dose of calmag. Made a foliar spray to use this week made up of 1ml/l cal-mag and 1.5ml/l superthrive. Seems to have improved things and growth is non stop. Have now moved to week 1 of the biobizz flowering schedule at 1/4 strength as its growing fine as it is so wanted to be cautious going in at 1/2 strength. EC going in was 1.16 - End of week runoff 1.05 Seems to be using nutrients nicely so will keep it at this for a few days then try and start creeping it up to 1/2 if it seems ok. Decided not to carry on with LST as was just shooting up and side branches werent developed enough to make it worth it. Quite an open plant and leaves look very sativa leaning. Decided to just let it do its thing. Thanks for checking out my diary and good luck growing to you all! 👊🙏

Apologies to anyone who reads through all this, was just a bunch of my notes that ive thrown here for next time. If anyone does it might look like gobbledygook but i get it...sort of 😁😂 Week 10 day 2 - Think I have a magnesium deficiency, some lower leaves are curling and yellowing/brown tips. And upper leaves all have interveinal chlorosis. Going to flush with plain water at 5.8PH and check runoff before doing anything. - Ec Out 1.25 - PH Out 5.83 All looked pretty good so cant work out why. Week 10 day 5 Feel like I have a potassium deficiency PH is 5.89 and EC is 1.35 so all looks fine. Have been using a lot of cal-mag to try and correct lacking coco due to not buffering at start. 1.75ml/l is 0.8ec but maybe too much as recomended cal-mag dose is 1ml/l so will go back down to that. As read cal/mag can cause sodium buildup which can stop plant uptaking potassium so could be that. - Flush medium completely - Reintroduce nutes at 1/2 strength but push forward 2 weeks on nutrient schedule for higher potassium/phosphorous Flushing with PH 5.57 (Wedding cake runoff) - 1.3 Will flush until runoff is around 1/3 of starting EC FINAL EC RUNOFF AFTER FLUSH WC - 0.563 OS - 0.39 -WEDDING CAKE NUTRIENTS 1/2 strength (pushed on to week 8 of flower nutrients)- ***flushed 6 liters through*** 1ml/l cal mag 2ml/l grow 2ml bloom 2ml top max 2.5ml heaven 2ml alg a mic 2.5ml acti vera EC IN 1.76 EC OUT 0.435 PH IN 5.84 Have been foliar feeding cal-mag and seems to have correctee the issue since then. Think its best I dont use too much cal-mag during fertigation and correct is using foliar spray. Lessons for next time at least 👍

After flushing then pushing schedule on 2 weeks has helped, no real height change think its hit its max but growing new sites now and problem hasnt progressed. Buds have started developing now, plant has been getting battered by slugs/caterpillars the past week as the weathers just been so damp and cloudy. Despite using neem oil up until this point I cant use it any longer so hoping it just pushes through now. Input EC - 1.75 End of week runoff EC - 1.64 All good 👍🙏 just need more ☀️😔

This week the plant seemed to show some deficiencies and thought ec could be a bit low so increase to 3/4 strength. 12 wks 4 days - Problem only got worse so I flushed and dropped back down to 1/2 strength. Potassium looking deficiencies and as having to kind of guess when to give what/when with a photoperiod schedule but its been going for 13 wks so figured it must need to be on the last wk of schedule for higher phosphorous and pottasium. Hoping that helps things but again think by trying to counteract the loss of cal/mag into the unbuffered coco i might have locked out potassium. Dropped rate of cal-mag to just small amount totaling 0.4EC before adding nutrients. Plant is looking pretty battered from pests, ive scanned and scanned for caterpillars or slugs and nothing to remove, they are just in and out overnight! Probably not doing it any favors not being the healthiest right now. But hoping it pulls through 🙏🤣

After flushing I realised the EC runoff was consistently much lower than I was putting in, I think I shouldve filled it back up with much more nutrients than just 4 Litres. So have gone back and fed with enough nutrients until EC came up to match the input EC. EC IN 1.0 and this progressively was climbing, and reached 1.4 so after reading from coco for cannabis I am now feeding 2x a day to keep EC from rising any higher, maybe even 3x. As far as I understand having it anymore than .4 higher than input means salts are building up so will keep an eye on this. END OF WEEK RUNOFF EC - 1.4 Thanks 🙏

This week the runoff EC has started climbing a bit too high from last week, last week I was feeding at 1.0 and runoff was going up, 1.3 - 1.4 by the end of week so decided to water twice a day from now on as from cocoforcannabis. Seems to have helped control the ec from going any higher than 1.4 though it was constantly there so the next feeding I brought down to 1/4 strength but moved on schedule. EC in is now 1.2 so will keep an eye if it goes past 1.5 from runoff. End of week runoff - 1.1 so alls good! 👌shows me its using the nutrients.

Real dissapointing harves, buds stopped developing toward the end and just got more and more budrot each day. Salvaged what I could and gave them a wash in hydrogen peroxide (100ml per 11litres water) so many pests through the grow I had to get rid. I thought I would lose quite a few tricomes but surprisingly didnt look like I lost many at all. Was going to chop first half and leave the rest but in the end they just didnt mature. I chucked them as they just had such clear trichomes. On to next year, I wont F*** with rockwool again though, possibly for the first 5-7 days MAX then they are going into the final medium. Spent about 3 weeks in the rockwool and just couldnt get them past a few nodes in height. Just stunted in there. Not for me, maybe will revisit one day but looking at my soil grows they are the most healthy so think I will get that dialed in first. Thanks for stopping by, pretty dissapointing but drying now..will be poor but hoping I have SOMETHING to try. If not theres next year 👊

Gonna have to call this one quits, just wasting time and energy on these but have learnt alot on my first go! Very larfy looking buds, some ok but really not worth weighing so will maybe give one or 2 a try but going to make some bubble hash with these. Got to post my L's on here really if not for me to learn even to help someone NOT make the same mistakes I did. But to be honest atleast I know WHERE it went wrong for next time, all about learning as we go 🙏 Next time I will not be so stubborn to think I will be able to turn the autoflower around after being stunted, just get it out in the final medium by 2 weeks at the very latest. Just 5-7 days next time in the rockwool cubes. Definitely will be using a good organic soil for next time, and BioBizz...meh they were ok but I had my best results actually top dressing with Eco Charge, without pure evidence I definitely saw the improvement in resilience and growth on the other plants and will hopefully harvest some sticky stinking buds...if I can beat the bud rot that is! Well I will have to get ready for next seasom better prepared and with some more knowledge! Thanks to all of you that helped me along the way with tips etc..@Jef79 have to shout you out for all the help, thankyou buddy! 🙏 really nice to see such a supportive place for people to learn! Good luck to you all! 👊🙏

Day air temperature
Air humidity

Night air temperature

Again not the best results which are mostly on my part, this one became a fest for caterpillars etc. Alongside the other plant which didnt do well either but this one was clearly taking all the pests as the other one wasnt too effected. Dont have anything worth weighing on this one just going to keep to make bubble hash! Was a good learning experience though and feel as though ive figured out a few things along the way of what NOT to do! 😂 To be honest I dont think I made any huge mistakes comparing to manu videos and research but think I would do a lot of things differently next time. Thanks for the support and good luck to you all!! 🙏

Next time when you do an auto, put the seed directly in the final container, you will have better results and faster harvest, also when growing 'm indoor you can give m more light, most can easily handle 18/6 or 24/0 light schedule

@Smokwiri, thanks buddy. Yes think it was a combination of trying different methods and rockwool just didnt work for me. Wound up stunting it at 3 weeks then once I potted it up it went straight into flower 😔 next time i will definitely get it out there sooner. Lessons learned though. Thanks 🙏
