Plants are starting to droop this week. Some of the lower leaves have turned yellow. We suspected a nitrogen deficiency so instead of alternating between nutrient solution and clear water we gave it a double dose of nutrients on the last watering. They're still drooping and seem to be getting worse. We thought maybe they had been overwatered so we have left them >24hours to dry out but as yet no improvement to the leaves; they feel dry and a brittle. We have now got the light up full (~30,000 lux) @ about 18 inches from the canopy. We upped the amount of water we were giving them, from half a litre per plant to a litre per plant per day.

Worried about our light power and distance to the pots, should we be running it at full power with the light higher in the tent or vice versa? Also very unsure about watering amounts in these early stages and is it okay for water droplets to be sitting on the growth? TIA

if that's a true 600w QB with fancy diodes, you need it 30-36" maybe? or dim it down... dimming saves miney, but reduces footprint, which like is not an issue in this context, so dim it to save money. if those are samsung lm301 diodes, ~10-12k lux will be good.. if they are not, this is garbage information for you using a lux meter. you'll quickly raise that to 15-20k within a week or two *hours of use would impact the value you want too. if plant falls over, too much light.. if it stretches too much, you need more light... you'll quickly find a happy medium, them slowly increase light as it grows. it'll probably take another 50% once vigorously growing. No, don't leave water on the growth. you'll get mildew or worse. small plant, small appetite. Don't fertilize where roots don't exist for sure. small radiu at first, if in big pot. increase with canopy but slightly larger than it. if those pics are very recently sprouted, i think you need to raise lights for sure. don't micromanage watering.. make sure it's wet in that column and down.. then wait for top to dry a bit -- maybe 1/2" this first week, but 1" after that. feel weight once you start fully saturating pot. it's better to err on side of a little extra so you don't get dry pockets of substrate. it's more difficult, but you can have a healthy, vigorous plant if careful.

Noticed a little growth beside one of the plants and wondering is it a twin from the one seed? If so, do we just let it continue? I've read the weaker one will die off of it's own accord and trying to remove it at this stage could risk putting the other into shock? TIA

Hi there! If you have room for both you could let them grow a bit and try to separate them later and grow both! If you don't want to grow both I think you could just cut/pluck the weaker one off

Noticed there's black markings on the edges of the leaves on our slowest growing plant. My initial thought was water droplets sitting on it before it had fully broken out or could it be something else?

Now that we've some leaves should we start to think about adding nutrients to the water (how much water per plant)? We're using Advanced Nutrients for the grow and considering following the attached feed chart? Should we bring our Light & Dark cycle in line with the recommended

I start to give my girls a feeding at like week 4-5 of veg if you have a good soil base to start with .Personally I feed my girls a very low feeding. I would not go past 1/2 of what they suggest to use

We noticed the leaves a very light green colour and some were drooping slightly. We suspected overwatering so let them dry out for a night which seems to have corrected the colour however worried that we let them dry out too much? One plant was totally blew over by the fan. TIA

The color looks good, try to point the fan at an indirect angle, a side wall or something and build a small soil mound around the stem. Try not to water everyday but space them out over a 2 or 3 days. You could put a cup over her for some extra humidity for the next week. Also think about using a silica supplement...helps make strong stalks.👍

Leaves are drooping a bit and slightly discoloured, especially when comparing it to the other plant. Also, a couple seem to be growing at a much slower rate, is this anything to worry about or will they catch up? TIA

So I noticed pistils appearing and now I'm worried that I've had my light too low during veg (~8k lux). Is it too late for scrog at this point or will they continue to grow? I've now bumped the light up to 22K lux should I lower the light to increase the intensity even more? TIA

....idk if it's ever too late for scrog unless it's harvest time...don't hold it against me lol I really don't know. I do know that your girls can stretch 20-75% in flower...just do it...if it fails, learning experience 🤞👊😁

Some leaves on the bottom turning yellow so we suspected a nitrogen deficiency; gave them nutrients two days in a row but seen no improvement, then suspected maybe we had overwatered so have left them >24 hours to dry out but still no improvement on the leaves situation? TIA

Hello So this drooping is definitely a bit more than you want to see happening. If the yellowing leaves pull off easily it usually is nitrogen deficiency. But with the drooping leaves if you aren't seeing them perk up after being watered you can usually eliminate under watering. However an overwatered plant can also do this droop...along with root problems like rot or root bound. If you aren't seeing any change from either letting dry or from watering i would consider the root problems. First when you water is the whole pot soaked or could there be some dry pockets? This can happen and cause problems (i was bad about giving my plants just enough water, versus soaking thoroughly and my plants suffered). You can try watering with a hydrogen peroxide water to increase oxygen and kill any bad bacteria, but you would want to water with a good bacteria product afterwards, some sort of living organisms, hydroguard, root shield etc. And double check that your ph and the runoff water are in the right zone. And then watch for positive changes over a couple days. *if you don't normally check and monitor the ph...i would suggest doing that. Even with these "ph perfect" products I've had some grows go perfect and others that went horribly off from not monitoring the ph occasionally. Happy growing and good luck to you guys.✌️

Noticed this black on the end of one of the buds, looks a bit like eggs and was wondering do we have an infestation of something? We noticed a couple of very small insects flying around so we have put up some fly catchers. Leaf discolouration but not sure if related? TIA

Hey darbyog, this is definitely no typical thing and unlike any other problem I've seen before. My guess is some strange type of fungus/mold. You should get rid off that bud or - for scientifical reasons - take the plant out of your tent and let it grow out outdoors, to see what happens with the black spot. The small flies and insects are normal if you grow organically and even if you don't - with high temps there will be some stuff crawling/flying around. Thats no biggie!

That have me clueless . I never seen that issue before. I’m going to be completely honest and please don’t take this in the wrong way my friend but it looks like something took a sh*t on the tip of your plant. I thought it was stick bugs but don’t see any white eggs .

Noticed one of the buds looking a bit browner than the rest. Also having some issues with the leaves, not sure if nutrient deficiency or nute burn? Also noticing brown on new growth as you can see in the photos.
