Northern light auto DWC

skyzohpanda the seeds germinating since yesterday, when the germination will be good, I will put her in a little rockwool cube (3*3*3 cm), in a box with a bottom of water and roots stimulant to get the first roots. After that I will put her in the net pot. with this plant, I will try to correct all the issues taht I had with my LSD-25 (light in the bucket, solution temperature, roots stimulant, the place of the rockwool on the net pot, the cube's dimensions, the watering of the plant on the beginning,,...) Day 1 29/06/2020. I put her in the bucket yesterday, with tap water and some roots stimulant. I hope she will grow good, I will try to cerrect all my mistakes with the LSD-25. Day 5 03/07/2020. I was a little stressed since the day 1 about the roots. I corrected many problems I had with my LSD-25 and I wanted to have roots more quickly on this grow. And it's the case! this morning, I saw the first root out of the net pot, and since this morning she took a boost with this roots. I'm pretty happy, hoping all will be good. I put an ice pack 3 time per day to have a water around 18-20 degrees.

skyzohpanda Day 10 09/07/2020. She is in vegetative week I guess, she don't grow too much since monday, few roots out of the net pot, I hope the next week will be more effective for her. I changed my soltion and put less nutrients to get a lower EC than just before. Day 11 10/07/2020. This morning I had EC 1.4, so I changedmy solution with simple tap water, I think it was an excess of nutes. I will see tonight if it's good.

skyzohpanda Day 17 16/07/2020. I cut 2 couple of leaves, I have some problems with my water level (and maybe the water in my region). Monday of week 2, she had somme roots, so I lowered the level, but the roots were in the water yet. And I guess that's the reason she drooping and roots dying, the plants was drowning. I don't care of her too much since 3 days and yesterday, I check the roots and there was beautiful and strong roots coming out the side of the net pot. So I gues I have a mistake with the water level (I will put a seed a friend give me in hydro and I will grow correcting this problem). Since I cut some dead leaves and some new strong roots appeared, she seems to be better, she straightened up a little bit. I know I will have a shitty yield with her but I want to continue to see if the water level was the problem.

skyzohpanda Day 29 27/07/2020, I saved her, the yield will be bad but I continue. I Think I have a defficiency in something but I don't know what precisely. I have nice roots. I made a mistake leaving the young tiny roots entirely in the water on the week 2. Day 31 29/07/2020 With the advice of one of my friend, I changed the water with botled water (cristaline, an French brand) with a EC of 0.5. It's really perfect and she seems to please very well in this water. I added nutes and corrected PH. Day 33 31/07/2020 I'm really happy with this advice of bottled water, She seems to be happy, the yellow leaves are a little bit greener, so I guess she loves it. The water temperature is a bit high I think. The northern light auto I grow to correct the mistakes I made with the fastberry is healthy too, she grow nice roots and they seems healthy. At the same stage, the roots of the fastberry began to die, so I'm happy, I guess I have found the right method :) .

skyzohpanda Day 36 03/08/2020 The flowering carry on, she recover some green color on the bottom leaves, she begin to have a nice smell. Day 37 04/08/2020 They grow pretty well, I ask myself if I add nutes this week, they are pretty good. Day 40 07/08/2020 the fastberry continue his flowering, the northern light took a boost since 2 days, I'm pretty happy. I will change the water in 2 days with bottled water. 2 weeks left before the pre-flowering stage I think. Day 42 09/08/2020 End of the week, the fastberry carry on her flowering, the northern light took a boost since 2 days. pretty happy because it means that I correct all the problems I had with my fastberry and my LDS-25. I changed her water today with the following dosage: -Flora Gro 1.4 ml/l -Flora Micro 1 ml/l -Flora Bloom 0.6 ml/l

skyzohpanda Day 43 10/08/2020 Today I changed the water of the fastberry, She had a little bit deficiency I guess so I upgrade the nutes. I'm surprised because she make some new stem and leaves with little buds (I saw 4 nice little buds in development). this will increase a bit the yield ^^. The northern light follow her growth nicely, I changed the water and upgrade the nutes yesterday and she seems to like it. Day 45 12/08/2020 They suffered of the heat, I have trouble to keep the temperature around 22°C, even with the ice packs I put 3 times per day. I have a kind of slimy roots since the rise of the temprature but the northern light seems okay. Next summe, I will forget the hydro, it's too difficult with this heat. Day 46 13/08/2020 I have some Pythium issues with very slimy roots (I loose the half lenght of the NL roots) and I had lots of slime on my bubblers (the bubbles had troubles to go out). After some research, I find that it's due to the temperature, the oxygen concentration was too low and the high temperature helped to pythium development. So I bought Oxyboost (12%, 35% is hard to find in my region), I put 5ml in my 4.5L bucket (prediluated with 20ml of water). It seems to work, but slowly, so I will upgrade te dose I guess (it's just a 12% concentration). I will change the water today because of the many little whit dot on my clay balls, fallen in the water. Day 16 NL 14/08/2020 I think about this problem of temps and I think I have the solution. I took the problem upside down and I don't chill the water but the air of the bubbler, putting my air pump in a cooler, above a big ice pack, with 2 smaller ice pack on the side. With this method, my pump take some fresh air (just 2/3 degrees less is sufficient for me) and she is cooled too by the ice pack (like this, the ice packs heats less) I try this actually and I will see the result

skyzohpanda I choose to cut her because of the pythium and all the others issues I had with my fastberry. I don't want to smoke pythium so I cut her, I know the yield is very bad. I'm sad but I will grow an other strain in soil to take the place of the fastberry.

skyzohpanda Week 4 of my NL, 1st week of flowering, day 23 20/08/2020. I saved her from Pythium, I lost 80% of her roots because of this (the heat, and the lack of oxygen the heat induced), but the Oxyboost is really magic, the roots came back in 3 days ( see the pics). Hydrogen peroxid is really usefull and helpfull. Usually, in 1-2 days, the roots became very brown, weak and slimy, but with peroxid, they are still white/creamy, and all the shit which fix on the roots are destroyed. Moreover I feel the roots are stronger than without peroxid. I just take care if there is some shit in the water that the peroxid destroy on my roots. Finally, the heat fall off a bit and it's helpfull too Day 24 21/08/2020 The roots growing pretty quickly, she carry on the flowering stage nicely but surely, Oxyboost is a very magic product. I would have really liked to know Oxyboost sooner, but we learn from our mistake, so there will be a take 2 for my LSD-25 and my Fastberry after that, maybe in soil but I would like to redo them in hydro, for the principle.

skyzohpanda Day 26 24/08/2020 Just like my soil plants, she begin to have more and more thirsty. I add 1l yesterday (with nutes of flowering stage) and today she drank again 0.5l. She developed pretty well since I use peroxid, she took height and width. It's funny because she look like exactly to what I imagined when I put her in the net pot. I'm very surprised to see the speed of the growing when the hydro goes well. In only few days, she caught up the soil plants. Oxygen peroxid was the missing link for my hyroponic method, now I have very nice conditions and it's exciting to know that I will grow hydro weed without roots problems. Now I'm sure that I want to redo the fastberry and the LSD-25 in hydro. I have seeds of purple queen remaining and I'm wondering to grow her in hydro. Day 28 26/08/2020 The buds growing surely, nothing to report.

skyzohpanda Day 34 31/08/2020 I changed the water yesterday to reset my nutes. As she drink 1l of solution every 2 day, I have to add 1l of bottled water with nutes, but with this method, I'm lost in the nutes so I prefer to change and reset my nutes. I'm really happy of this strain and this plant. Oxyboost is really good and it saved her, she took an impressive growth and flowering when I thinking to the root rot she had. I would have put peroxid in my fastberry when she was alive too. As she grew up pretty well, I cut very few leaves which blocked the light to some buds below. Day 37 03/09/2020 She drink 1 l per day, today I put back 1.5L to to go to 5l, I gues 4.5l was too low, the peroxid will destroy all the bad things on the roots. Day 38 04/09/2020 The Calixes start to become some nice buds, there is very few trichome on the nascent buds.

skyzohpanda Day 41 07/09/2020 I added again 1.5L this morning, she take lots of water in 2 days, I'm impressed. She become a beautiful lady with nice buds in development. Day 43 09/09/2020 She begins to have some sticky THC on her buds and branch, very cool. I can't wait to dry all of this and smoke this lil' creature. I really hesitate to do a remaining seed in hydro in a 2l bottle of coke (with foil paper around the bottle) as I have Oxyboost to have a good water. It could be a good experiment to see if I could make a kind RDWC system with 4 2l bottle. Day 47 13/09/2020 The flowering continues very well. I add 1.5l of water every 3 days. with all of the leaves I cut (northern light and purple queen) I made deep fried leaves, very good. I have to buy a microscope to see my trichomes, I don't want too much amber trichomes to enjoy all of effects she can give.

skyzohpanda Week 7, Day 49, 15/09/2020. The buds to look like sugar coated candies. I have to bought a microscope, I guess I have 1/2 week before the cut but I want to check my trichomes before to take a decision (and to know when to start the flush). Day 52 18/09/2020, today I will buy a microscope, I tink I will cut very soon and I want to see my trichomes.

skyzohpanda 8th wee DAY x 24/09/2020; I'm late for this week because I was in amsterdam. My family took care of this one also, so she's good. the flowering continue. I bought a microscope, I just found 2 amber trichomes on 1 bud, so I will wait a little bit (I aim around 10%-20%) Okay so I start to cut today, I cut (like my purple queen) in 2 steps, today I just cut the bigger buds (52G befor the manicure). I want the other buds get bigger. Maybe I will cut the other buds in 2 weeks.

skyzohpanda 1st step of the cut, I had 71g before the manicure. I have a little yield on this one due to the issues I had with my water until I bought the Oxyboost (aleluja ^^) I'm really happy and this cut and manicure was not empty of feelings when I thought to her begginings. I'm proud of myself I will continue the hydro. 10g dryied, I cut today the other parts of the plants and put it to dry. The top of the buds start to dry.
