what a dramatic week! she has been outside her pot for 5 hours because of my dog! she stayed outside in the rain 1 night, and the weather is far from optimal! daytemps of about 19-23 degrees and a few rainy days and humidity of around 90%! she does have a small roof for the rain, but i forgot to put that on that night she stayed outside. usually i bring her inside at night.

That sounds like a great mixture. Just keep an eye on the ph and don't feed it anything in those first 4-6 weeks. It's great that its so rich in potassium and phosphorus so you won't have to over load it with any bloom nutrients.👍

you can start when the plant has a min of 3 nodes 😀 (google "autoflower lst" check the pics for examples) also browse the diary's here, you can select LST in the menu's .. I like to wait 25 to 30 days so you have some meat, well length to work with.. don't worry those plants are very bendy until flower period.. have fun ..

She looked big enough, and the tie down looks good... great job on the lst. Only concern is looks like she was already under alot of heat stress or something. You dont want to over stress your plant or u can and will stunt it. She was dealing with alot of stress already to her foliage. Now uve added more with tieing and bending her main stem. Hopefully she will bounce back from u quickly. The better the plants health the more bending, topping and such it can take without being stunted. Happy growing and stay lit fam

Why is she so small? I think she starts to grow a bit faster since 4 days but her sister, a green poison planted the same day is like 3 times as big. (See pic). She had some stress: heat stress, trips.she also fell out her pot twice in week 2. Is she gonna be ok? How much yield?

this could be the strain from the breeder or she may not having her tap root hit bottom yet, it is almost like she is not getting enough light but shes outside so that rules light out, did you top the plant? she looks healthy in her color so food is not it, i have 2 guesses, 1 from breeder, not strong genetics or just how that strain grows, second root is not hitting the bottom of the pot which would explain the size with some strains when that tap root hits bottom then they will explode in growth. how big of a pot is she is? last you could give more nitrogen with some root enhancer, like house and garden root, clonex, 1 tbl spoon per gallon, or other root nutrients, when the roots build up there is better plant growth. if it was me i would try getting her more light, add more nitrogen with root stuff and wait. also i would check the breeder to see if you can find info on the strain as well as perhaps finding other diaries here on this grow diaries.. that green posion is right where she needs to be, so i would imagine they are on the same food, so perhaps the root has not bottomed out yet or strain from breeder is not strong. keep growing her cause she may just surprise you.

The side branches will develop in their own time once she has enough resistance to withstand the sun, for now she doesnt get enough light to grow faster so they are a little underdeveloped but they will develop in time. The lst, you can release the fan leaves and hold her just at the top an inch or two down from the tallest part of the plant depending on where you can have the best place to place the wire.
YellahJelle
YellahJellestarted grow question 4 years ago
On advise I was removing the wires off the fan leaves, but then the main stem broke ALMOST totally at a very low point, about 2 cm above the soil. I taped the wound and put her in a position where the wound is closed, so the LST is ruined anyway, but will my little girl be okay?

I dont like to see my pistols change colour until the 5th 6th week of 12/12..But if you sprayed neem oil on your flowers, that is a no no, could possibly be the reason. Check your runoff ph and ec and make sure the ec isnt to high and your ph is in proper range. Cheers friend

do you adhere to wet-dry cycle with your soil? top 1" dry before irrigating and with 20% runoff? looks like more than one symptom, which would lead me to think lockout. Consider recent behaviour. See what you provide... I'd investigate how much P or K your fertilizers are providing.. if ppm greater than 50 and 200, respectively, i'd reduce that a bit.

Dear Yellah, I guess this is your first grow but your plant looks very bright, green and healthy. Your plant doesn't have any problem at all. Just keep doing the good job! Answers below in bullet points: - Leaves: It is okay for plant to loose some leaves or have brown spots at late flowering but it is also normal to drop some lower leaves any time of her growth. It is not a sign of anything unless it is all over the plant. - Brown Pistils: In most strains, they will turn brown and curl in and this is a sign that she is getting ready for harvest. Harvest window opens when 70-80% of those pistils turned brown. - Broken stem: The stem doesn't get enough nutrient to grow because of the damage she took. Try to tape and fix it and see if she grows. If not just cut the losses and your plant will channel this energy to other branches! No worries at al. Hope this helps, Cheers Y

You want to wait until 50 to 70 percent of the hairs are no longer white. This is when they have the highest levels of THC. You have at least 4 weeks left judging from the photos. As far as yield its hard to say because so many things come in to factor and the plant looses about 70% of its mass when it dries.

Hey Growmie, The way to get a close estimate of when harvest will be is by checking what the breeder says, checked for you and it says this plant needs 75 days of flowering now since this normally off by 2 weeks, I'd say the plant has at least 2-3 weeks left before harvest, in this time buds should get denser and all those white pistils will change too. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

hey there YellahJelle, the only determinant of harvest maturity should be the trichomes, the pistills turn brown for any number of reasons and they dont tell you if the plant is ready. they can turn brown basically when their membrane breaks down so because of temperature, wind, contact, bugs, genetics, etc. Another thing to remember is that after the chop a lot of trichomes and a lot of pistills will turn brown anyway. I would say, see for yourself, test it out when you harvest by monitoring the trichs and the pistills. But yeah, the main thing is that if you wait trichomes could oxidize and you could have a different potency profile or even weaker weed. Base yourself on the trichomes not the pistills that's most the genetics anyway. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Only take off the big fan leafs and hang her to dry with the sugar leafs. When you trim dry bud you can save up the trim easier. Later can be used to make cannabutter or extract some hash. Also you get a nice scissor hash from trimming. 😋 Happy harvest!
