Week 9! We feel a sense of urgency, on the brink of crisis, with a range of issues that we're doing our best to work through and minimize. We feel like the tall girl (Plant #3) is destined to be bit of a lanky disappointment. In retrospect, we should have done more defoliation early on, limiting the number of growing tops on this girl. Plants #1 and #2 are identifiable siblings, with similar structure, bud growth and feeding habits. Day 57 - watered Plant #1 with 2 gallons of plain dechlorinated tap water, pH adjusted to 6.7. Runoff tested at 750ppm. Then watered with .5 gallons of a 570ppm nutrient solution, pH adjusted to 6.2. - watered Plant #2 and #3 with approximately 1.5 gallons of nutrient solution. - minor defoliation of leaves that had yellowed and were badly drooping. Most leaves pulled away easily when grasped. - increased HLG Elite 360 light fixture to approximately 98%. Day 58 - Plant #1's leaves continue to worsen but bud growth and increased trichome production is noticeable and the smell continues to become richer, sweeter and more pungeant. Day 59 - Plant #1 looking pretty rough. We adjusted our intake hose that feeds from our air conditioner, to ensure the incoming cold air isn't blasting down that side of the tent. - in an attempt to lessen stress on the plants we moved our "Elite 360" light fixture up 2" and reduced the light schedule from 20/4 to 19/5. We did increase the light intensity from 95% to 100%, hopefully better distributing the light and avoiding "hot spots". Day 60 - Reduced light intensity back down to 95% to try and reduce leaf damage of Plant #1 - Tent temperature tends to climb to 83F when the light fixture is at 100% intensity. Running at 95% keeps temps around 79-80F without any additionally required adjustments to the air conditioner and fresh air intake. Day 61 - watered Plant #1 & #2 each with 1.5 gallons of dechlorinated tap water, pH adjusted to 6.5. Then watered each plant with .75 gallons of a 530ppm nutrient solution consisting of 3.5ml/gal of Remo Nutrients' "Micro", "Bloom", "Astroflower" and "Nature's Candy". pH adjusted to 6.2. - watered Plant #3 with .5 gallons plain water followed by 1.75 gallons of the nutrient solution. - swapped positions of Plant #1 and #3. Plant #3 will now be getting some of the 2300K spectrum from our Sunblaster T5HO's and Plant #1 should get a bit more relief from the light intensity. Day 62 - removed dead, shriveled leaves from the bottoms of all 3 plants. Plant #3 had the most dead/dying leaves, which pulled free with barely a touch. - checked bud density of Plant #1 and Plant #2 by very gently squeezing one of the buds. Both plants seemed to be very dense. Day 63 - temps were a bit higher today, around 82-83F. A/C shut off by itself because water reservoir was full. - Plant #3 starting to show fade in leaves
