22/07/2020 Start of the week and there's some good growth to see. The plants are looking fine, but I've spotted a few small flies, hovering around the soil. According to the internet they're fungus gnats. I was also able to spot some ants. I'm certain the few ants won't be a problem, but in order to deal with the fungus gnats, I've started treating them by delaying another watering to let the soil dry out a bit. Tomorrow I'll go and get some Neem Oil or something similar to treat the top of the soil. 23/07/2020 It's been 3 days since I've last watered them. Back then they received each about 1.5 liters of water with 1ml power roots per liter. The left plants soil is starting to dry out, although only the very top. Directly beneath the soil is still wet. The right plants soil is still fairly moist. I'll be looking to use some Neem oil today hopefully, if I can get my hands on some. I'm a bit uncertain when I should start watering again. I don't want the fungus gnats to have a nice environement, but I also don't want my plants to dehydrate. 24/07/2020 I've put up a bowl of vinegar with some dish soap in it. I also put up these small little adhesive.. ..things, which I don't know the proper english name of. At the end of the day, I watered each plant just a bit (ca. 0.5 liters per plant), since the soil was really dry already. And switched the adhesive stripes, since the first two already had quite some fungus gnats on them. Also, I made the complete rookie mistake by ripping off a bit of one of the leaves while trying to stick the adhesive stickers into the soil. The plant has been recovering pretty great from that though. 25/07/2020 They're looking even better now. Not many fungus gnats in the vinegar/on the stickers, but they've definitely been getting less. The plants are still looking mighty fine :) 27/07/2020 I let them be for quite a while. Haven't watered them too. Even though the top layer of soil is dry, I noticed by digging my finger in the soil that beneath it's still pretty damp. I'm gonna keep on not watering them until I notice the leaves drooping.

I'm currently having trouble with fungus gnats. Should I use "Neem Oil" to fight the infestation? And is there any alternativ similar to "Neem Oil" that is available in Europe? Also, when should I start watering my plants again? (3 days since last watering)

Yellow sticky strip and I get the vacuum down near the medium and stir up the dirt, get um flying and suck um up, they get caught in the suction very easy. That gets alot the sticky traps keep um in check. Cheers

When is a good time to start doing growing techniques like ScrOG, and should I be doing anything else before I start with it? Also, how far above should I place the net?

Wow never seen that happen by itself. Good thing it won’t cause any major issues. If it’s not flexible then leave it for now and when she grows Bury it under your medium for more support. If it is flexible straighten it up and support it with a stick and you will be fine .

Noticed this slight change in color on one of the leaves, what could be the reason for this, and how do I treat it? It has only appeared on one leaf so far. Also, what is the correct name for this color? Is it "burnt" or just yellow or something else? Cheers!

Yeah it is burnt, but just slightly, i would say keep up the regimen but give it a little space inbetween feedings with just water so she can use those nutes and you can wash the soil with that inbetween waterings. Overall, your plant looks perfect mate. Keep up the good work, and if you don't mind me asking, can you please at some point chose my answer as the answer? Its for a contest in wich i will win a tshirt if i get top3. Thanks growmie. Best of luck on ur grow

By flipping through your dairy and those are my suggestions: 1. Your plant is doing fine. Any signs of pistil? Just give it a couple more weeks or give it a 24H dark cycle to initiate flowering if you want to. I see you have another plant that uses the same setting and is doing fine, so I feel you just got a slow runner and it will eventually catch up later. 3. But you want to control the "N" value in your nutrient. The "Alga Grow" that you are using is a grow booster that contains lots of N. I will gradually switch to Alga Boost which will promote flower growth. Be careful with the N toxicity and it will significantly reduce the production of your flower if you don't control. I had the same issue. 2. You will be expecting a 2-weeks stretch period when flipping to flower and the size of the plant usually doubled. So it is nice to maintain a low canopy as you did. I hope it helps!

My leaves have been turning yellow/pale and slowly dying off. A few leaves have already died and it's moving up the plant slowly but surely. I'm guessing it's a (N)itrogen deficiency, but don't know how to solve it.

Hey there Minou, actually it's lockout basically there's too much N . you can see this based on the "too green" aspect of the leafs, that's basically what happens when there's too much N : the leaves can become a bit shiny or too green, then you find signs of deficiency even though you're feeding. So you need to maybe even stop feeding altogether for one week or so then start feeding again but at half of the dose you're currently giving which is much too high. Hope this helps ! 🚀

Late stage of flowering. Some bud-leaves have started turning yellow. Humidity was always around 40-50%, had a nutelock and nitrogen deficiency recently. Should I be worried about bud rot/mold?

Bud rot normally happens when you have really dense buds and high humidity, 40-50% isn't bad for flower so I would say no, you shouldn't have any worries about bud rot. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

@HighFromHome, thanks! The fungus gnats have been getting less and the plants looked like they needed some water, so I watered them yesterday. They really exploded in growth! From 7cm height to 11cm in just one day!
