MELs_Garden Here we are again This time it's AMNESIA!!! We're coming in with a real gem. This amnesia is a private strain, it's not sold commercially and can't be acquired, but we've been given some cuttings to try it out and see how it performs with other nutrients and with another grower. This is a genetic that they've maintained for over 10 years, we tried it and... it's insane.. I can't provide any data on genetics or anything else because we don't have that information since it's a private strain, just sit back and (hopefully) enjoy 😜 It's a true sativa, you can tell just by looking at the elongated shape of the leaves and the structure of the plant. In summary. We took cuttings and rooted them (we did a culling). From there we moved to small pots with coco. As they grew, we selected the best ones and discarded the worst. We did the growth with the connoisseur from advanced + Rootbastic from atami and the silica power from BAC, the preventatives have been with Neem oil and spruzit + occasionally about 5-6 hours with the sulfur burner. I know that when we switch to flowering, the amnesia will get really big and that the ideal height is usually quite low, we have them pretty big, between 20/40cm. The flowering will be about 10 weeks. Right now we have it under a 315w Philips agroelite lec with temperatures of 24/26°C in ON with over 27.7°C and 22/23 in OFF, humidity is around 55/65% We'll only be monitoring the last week of growth before flowering. Week 1 From July 13 to 19 July 13 We performed defoliation of leaves and removed all the shoots except for the top ones and a few more. July 15 We did a foliar spray with Delta nine at a rate of 6 ml•l to stimulate the plant and prepare it for flowering. July 16 We did a soil watering with.. 1 vitamax + 2.5 Bud fuel pro + 2 bloom fuel + 0.16 Mammoth P + 0.3 silica power PH: 6.00 Th20: 25°C July 19 Today is the last day of growth, tomorrow we'll switch to 12h. They are too tall to be amnesia and I'm a bit worried they'll get huge, so for the biggest one, I did an apical cut to prevent it from growing too tall, we'll see if we can control the width. Today we turned on the other light in the room and you can feel it in the temperature, plus today we've had temperatures of 33°C outside, which has left us at around 29°C.

MELs_Garden Week 0 July 20 to 26 Switching to 12h. Flowering begins, I have super high expectations with these Amnesia, I hope I can live up to it and that everything goes well. 🤟🤟 July 21 We did a soil watering with almost 1L. 1 Vitamax + 2.5 Bud Fuel Pro + 2 Bloom Fuel + 0.3 Silica Power pH: 5.7 Th20: 24.5°C We did some low pruning on one of them, removing about 2 nodes. July 22 We have about 8 plants, but looking at the garden, the other varieties we have, and the difference between the Amnesia, we will probably discard the 3 shortest or move them to another tray. The temperatures are still around 28°C. July 23 Foliar watering with diatomaceous earth as a preventive measure. July 24 On one hand, we have some white residue from the diatomaceous earth, but it's more aesthetic than functional; the leaves will be pruned in the coming days. On the other hand, we "discarded" 3 Amnesia (moved them to another tray) so that the better specimens can grow with plenty of space and light. The temperatures have dropped outside, which is beneficial for us. Additionally, we changed (in the room, but not for these plants) a 315W LEC light for two 150W LEDs. Hopefully, they drop even more; we're now at 27/27.5°C. Relative humidity is between 55/60%. July 25 We pruned the lower leaves except for 2 or 3 from the top. We also pruned the nodes in the middle of the branches. We did a lighter watering to avoid over-fertilizing with about 0.7L. 2.5 ml Bud Fuel Pro + 2.5 ml Bloom Fuel pH 6.2 EC 0.8ms Th20: 22.5°C July 26 That wraps up the first week 0. Today we’re running the sulfur burner for about 5 hours; we need to prevent everything we can because once the flowers come out, there won't be any margin for error.

MELs_Garden Week 1 July 27 to August 2 July 27 Even though the waterings have been with a quite low EC (not exceeding 1ms), some leaves on one plant have curled a bit, but nothing serious. July 28 Today they are all looking great, it seems they have absorbed the nutrients well and are thriving. July 30 Today it's 39°C outside, 30 in the room. We did a watering with about 0.5l per plant: 1 Only tec + 2.5 Bud fuel pro + 2.5 bloom fuel + 1 vitamax pro + 0.3 silica power from BAC + 0.2 Rootbastic PH 5.8 EC: 1.5ms Th20: 22°C They are stretching quite well and are pretty robust, all around 56-63 cm with good branches; just looking at their leaves and structure, you can appreciate that haze genetics. Today it's really hot outside, averaging 29.5°C with 45/50% humidity in the grow. August 1 We watered with about 0.8l per plant: 1 Only tec + 2.5 Bud fuel pro + 2.5 bloom fuel + 1 vitamax pro + 0.3 silica power from BAC + 1 calmax PH 5.8 EC: 1.5ms Th20: 24°C The high temperatures continue, but they are predicting bad weather for tomorrow, so that's good. The humidity has also increased. August 2 We wrap up this week 1. Until today, I hadn't realized how much they are growing; since I see them every day, I don't notice it as much, but the moment they surpassed the height of the stake, I noticed. The plants are between 55/63 cm. The watering seems to have gone well, but for the next one, we'll just use water to avoid leaving all the fertilizers in the substrate. It's still too early to draw conclusions or see where things are headed, so let's keep moving forward.

MELs_Garden Week 2 From August 3 to 9 August 3 Temperatures are dropping again and we're at 26°C 😌 August 4 We noticed that the last watering might have been too strong, so we took the opportunity to do several things. • The plant has 0 signs of pests, no bites or anything.. it seems the preventive measures have worked well, but we’re not letting our guard down. We sprinkled the top layer of the substrate with diatomaceous earth and moistened it. Since the substrate had already dried out quite a bit, we added a layer of substrate (monkey soil coco) and sprinkled again. • We did a watering with almost 2 liters. We used 0.16 Mammoth P + 1 calmax pH 6.2 EC: 0.4/0.6ms Th20: 23.5°C August 5 We raised the light. August 6 They look great, some better than others but overall very well, and one is extraordinary. Today the heat returned but we’re holding up well even though the humidity is almost at 70%. August 8 We watered the 2 largest plants with almost 1 liter because they were dry; the rest will have to wait. 5ml•l of Delta 9 pH 6.01 EC: 1.2ms Th20: 26.6°C August 9 We finished this week 2. We continue with the heat and humidity; in that sense, it has been a bad day. The temperature is around 28°C with a max of 30 and a minimum of 24.5°C (in OFF)*. Humidity has been around 60/70%, we hope conditions improve when the flowering is more advanced. Today we did the last preventive measure, about 6 hours with the sulfur burner, and after ventilating for a while, we did a foliar spray with 15ml spruzit + 2 neem oil + 2 a test product. The whole crop is quite uniform, except for the super amnesia which is at 95cm; the rest are between 80 - 85 and the shortest one is 70cm. The truth is that it’s a pretty difficult strain to manage. At the slightest issue, the leaves get stiff from over-fertilization, and you have to be careful with the dropper when feeding them. That said, once it’s comfortable, it really takes off.

MELs_Garden Week 3 From August 10 to 16 August 10 We did watering with water and 1ml of calcium and another of magnesium with a pH of 6 and an EC of 0.9ms at a temperature of 24°C. We do this to avoid future problems and to ensure they make good use of the nutrients in the substrate. Honestly, you have to feed them very slowly; it's a long flowering and goes at its own pace, very sensitive to over-fertilization. If you go a bit overboard, the leaves start to droop. They are all between 80/85cm except for one that is at 1m. Flowers are sprouting on all the branches and in the central part. Much more than I expected. I forgot to mention that my cats are obsessed with some amnesia. They've already done it to me twice, and if I get distracted, they make holes in the pots, digging out soil and breaking roots... I hope it doesn't happen again and that it doesn't have much impact. August 12 Today we need to raise the light because it was getting too close and also because of the heat. August 13 Today we did watering with about 1l for all except for one that is going at a different pace. Today we're going to give them a good base of nutrients and see how they respond. We'll check for symptoms of over-fertilization in the first few days because they eat very slowly. 2 only tec + 1 vitamax + 2 bud fuel + 0.1gr•l of blossom blaster pH 5.8 EC: 1.56 Th20: 24.9°C There are no symptoms of deficiencies or pests. The temperature is still quite high, but we maintain it at 28/29°C. August 16 We finish this week 3 and are very impressed. The feelings are very good; it's producing a lot of flowers, and if they come together... oh my, what a party. I don't want to get too excited, but oh my, if they come together and bulk up, it's not just going to give one good central bud but also some nice buds on the branches. Today we took the opportunity to water with almost 1l per plant. 1.5 calciomax + 2 magnesium + 0.1gr blossom blaster. pH 6.2 EC 1ms Th20: 22°C The temperatures have dropped a bit, and the humidity too; let's hope it stays that way.

MELs_Garden Week 4 From August 17 to 23 August 17 We did some defoliation of leaves and a few small buds so we don't lose energy on them. August 18 Today they're not really ready for watering except for the biggest and strongest one, which drinks everything, so we watered her exclusively. Watering with about 1L. 2 solo tek + 1 vitamax pro + 2 Bud fuel pro + 0.1 blossom blaster + 2 bloom fuel pH 5.8 EC: 1.5ms Th20: 23.5°C The lemon smell is getting more and more intense. August 22 After these days, the pot is dry again, and I'm sticking to my usual idea of going easy, so we'll do a watering with water. 0.16 Mammoth P + 1 vitamax pro + 0.6 final solution (catalysts to activate enzymes that better utilize leftovers and dead roots) pH 5.9/6 EC: 0.3ms Th20: 22°C By measuring the EC of the input and output, we see that the substrate is somewhat loaded, 0.3ms in and 1.2/1.6ms out. Therefore, I believe these waterings are more than necessary. After this watering, we'll start with the monster bloom and heavy bud. The humidity has dropped, and we're sitting at an average of 50/55% relative humidity.

MELs_Garden Week 5 From August 24 to 30 August 26 Let's hope it cools down because with the heat outside, it's a bit difficult to work. We see that the soil is quite dry, so we watered with about 2 liters. 2 bud fuel + 2 solo tek + 1 vitamax pro + 1.5 heavy bud + 0.15 monster bloom.. EC 1.8 PH 5.8 Th20: 23.2°C August 29 Since we have the grinspoon with some spider mites, we're going to treat the whole cabinet. Well, half an hour before turning on the lights, we did a foliar spray to get rid of this pest. 50 plant vitality + 2.5 cinnaport + 15 growth efficiency method 1 August 30 We watered with.. 1.5 solo tek + 2.5 heavy bud + 0.3 monster + 1 cal + 2 bloom fuel + 1 vitamax PH: 5.8 EC: 1.8ms Th20: 23°C We finished another week. We're on edge about the possible spider mite threat because if it's in the grinspoon, it's in the grow, and it will definitely affect it to some extent, but well.. we'll keep moving forward. We added a large fan to move the air much more, and you can feel it in the temperature. Now we're at about 25.6°C when ON and around 23 when OFF.

MELs_Garden Week 6 August 31 to September 6 At its own pace but making progress little by little. The conditions are better than in the last few weeks. September 4 We did some watering. 2 calmax + 2 magnesium + 0 16 Mammoth P + 0.2 final solution PH: 5.8 EC: 0.6ms Th20: 23°C September 5 Since we don't trust too much, we gave it a watering with 2ml of canna flush to remove the excesses. PH 5.8

MELs_Garden Week 7 From September 7 to 13 September 7 Since we have some spider mites in the grow, we did a foliar spray with spider killer at 1ml•l and will continue this every 2-3 days until we get rid of them. Other than that, everything is going great. September 10 We haven't finished off the spider mites and are still using the spider killer. Some are falling off, but we can't seem to get rid of them all. September 11 We watered with 1.5l 2.5 heavy bud fuel + 0.3gr/l monster bloom + 0.5 vitamax + 1.5 solo tek + 0.5 calmax + 0.5 magnesium + 0.5g/l carbomax pH 6.2 EC: 1.8 ms Th20: 23°C September 13 We did a foliar spray with vitality plus 50ml/l for the pest that is affecting some parts of the grow.

MELs_Garden Week 8 From September 14 to 20 The spider is really punishing them. This strain in particular I think isn't very strong against pests. September 16 First, we did 2 foliar sprays a few hours apart. The first with Vitslity Plus and the second with Spruzit. We want to get rid of the damn spider, but I don't know if we'll have time... we have to respect the 14-day safety period because we don't want any issues. September 17 We did a thorough root wash. Last liters with a pH of 6.2. September 18 Good news, it seems we've managed to turn things around. We examined the plant with the microscope and didn't see any spiders. We saw black spots, but they were the dead spiders that got stuck there as if they had burned. Some live spider we saw had a black belly and was moving very strangely compared to how they normally do, like it was drunk.

MELs_Garden Week 9 From September 21 to 27 September 22 The humidity is quite high, not good. Today we watered with water at pH 6.2. As soon as the pot dries, we will start harvesting. September 27 We harvested and put it to dry.

MELs_Garden Well, we consider this amnesia that we’ve cultivated to be concluded, and we’re going to give our opinion on the conclusions we’ve drawn. GROWTH: The truth is that we received the cuttings and we rooted them. Once rooted, we didn’t give them too much growth, although they grew well, with quite long internodal distances and irregular bud formation. What I mean is that the buds didn’t come out in pairs uniformly; they came out wherever they wanted, 100% amnesia structure. FLOWERING: First of all, I have to say that they stretch a lot, practically tripling their size, even a bit more. The buds stretch, gain strength, and stretch a lot too, leading to big and wide plants. Here I realized, too late, that I should have pruned most of the buds to direct the strength to the central cola. Their leaves are medium/large and thin. As for nutrition, they weren’t big eaters; after watering with nutrients, they almost always asked for the next one to be with water. The flowers are the strong point of this strain. The buds aren’t very thick but have a resin that looks like crystals; you can see them perfectly, and just by looking, you get an idea of the amazing weed it is. And its smell... stinky... the whole grow smells of that amnesia and lemon aroma, incredible. There was a mix; some plants didn’t perform very well, while others were incredible, but all with the same flowers and smells. AMNESIA TASTING Once we dried our amnesia, we put it in glass jars and let it cure for about a month and a little. The buds are compact and resinous with a very strong smell. They go a long way when you break it up; it practically multiplies. When smoked, the flavor is very similar to its aroma. It leaves your mouth soaked with that amnesia flavor with an incredible touch of lemon. It hits you quickly and hits hard. It starts with quite an energetic high, leading to a more relaxing come down. I love it. We entered this amnesia into a local competition and got a score of 7.3, finishing 16th out of 29, super happy for it being our first time. Conclusions: I would grow it again, especially knowing what I’ve learned. I love its flavor when smoking and its effect. It has a lot of potential, and I feel like I didn’t live up to it, but I’m still very happy. 😊😊 Thank you all, and special thanks to crazy roots.
