5 of my sweet deep grapefruits were ready to transplant. The bubblegum by sonoma seeds is lagging behind and the Dinachem was popped a week later. One more week for those two and they will be transplanted into 3 gal containers.

All transplanting has been finished. The plants that used orca did not seem to fair as well as the great white shark which was used for the Sweet Deep Grapefruit. Same base nutrient schedule but with added Cal Mag. Will be doubling the dose of base nutrients next week.

This week went well. All plants easily survived transplant. It seems the orca does not work as well as the powdered form. Watering has been heavy but light. Dumping 3-3.5 liters in them every 5-6 days. Will be feeding the SDG soon and upping the base to a full 1ml per a and b. Cal mag will remain steady during the grow. Hopefully by the end of the month we can flip.

The nutrients were upped this week as the plants are starting to get taller. The LST done in week 2-3 as worked out well more nodes have come up which is great for an indica. Did some minor defoliation on the lower part of these plants. Some leafs were going into soil which is not good if you don't want bugs on your plant. Things are going very well humidity is peaking a bit into the low 60s but I don't mind I my plants are dancing. Happy gardening everyone.

This week went fairly well. One of the bubblegums was a bit under watered. Fed it last night and it seemed to bounce back when I checked in this morning. All plants have been defoliated from 2 or 3 node. One more defoliation might happen at the end of week 7. Noticed a slight deficiency in one of the lower fan leaves of the SDG barely noticeable but I took it as a sign to do late stage base nutrients. Top of the canopy is at 18 inches another 6 and the flip will happen. 2 more weeks I suppose week 8 will be the last for veg. So far so good.

Our top of the canopy is now pushing 20 inches. My stated goal of 24 inches (2 feet) is almost realized. The Dinachem's are pushing 16 inches so I have decided to flip at the end of this week so next weeks update will be the last for veg. :) Did some major defoliation to the big plants where as the smaller ones got a lighter touch. The bubble gum's have for some reason run into a mag def so I upped my ph from 6.2-6.4 for those ladies and gave them an extra feed of cal mag to counter act. They seem to have stabilized for now. The regular feeding schedule is being followed with the other plants at a ph of 6.2-6.3. Other than my humidity spiking a bit into the low 60s this grow seems to be chugging along.

So this was a fairly uneventful week as it was the final week of veg. A few more leaves removed and I thoroughly scouted for bugs we are ready for the flip! Final feed for grow nutrients this week. Then I'll switch to bloom after first week of flower. Sorry for the lack of pictures and the plants only gained a few inches this week. We should have a few 4 footers.

There was no active defoliation done to the garden this week but things will change up a bit for a few plants in week 2. So far my nodes have been co operative and it looks like I will have a solid female plants knock on wood. I did use the grow nutrients for the first few days after the flip but by the beginning of week 2 I switched to bloom. Plants seem to be doing very very well. To well in fact I'm getting nervous that I over vegged. Going to add bloom booster after end of week 2. Also going to up my base nutes to 1.5ml per liter. Hopefully by the end of week 3 the stretch will have stopped. It's starting to smell really nice in my tent thankfully my carbon filter is taking care of any odors that leave the tent.

Plenty went on in my grow this week. My canopy literally shot up like 8 inches. Some of the tops are a tad close to the led light however the nice thing about that is it won't necessarily fry the top. I may have over vegged but at least I can get a decent harvest. Some light defoliation was done to the bottoms of plants to increase air flow from the bottom vents. I'm hoping the stretching will stop by the end of the week because space is becoming limited. All nodes show hairs and the buds seem to be developing nicely. Trace nutrients were added at the end of week 2 start of 3. Primarily Big bud and I decided to try a resin enhancer Honey Chome. I haven't used sugar based products and I'm a bit excited to try it out. The base nutrients will be upped to 1.5ml per L at the end of week 3.

We have completed week 3 and the stretch has stopped! Thankfully I can keep my lights where they are now. We have entered week 4. I had a rogue fan fall on one of my small SDG so I had to clip a few branches and do a bit of training via garden wire. The smell and aroma of the SDG are starting to come in and it is a great reminder why I decided to do another run of this strain. No active defoliation yet but some of the lower leaves are yellowing out so were at mid flower. I did my final up of base nutrients and I am stepping hard on the nutes for the next 3 weeks or so.

This week again has been very successful. No real issues to speak of. We are now at our heaviest for nutrients. However that will soon change as in next week I will be eliminating the big bud and cal mag. The reason being we are approaching the flushing period and we need to clear our sub strait of those nutrients when we harvest. So from week 5 and on I will be stepping off the gas so to speak. I will still be using the Honey Chome and base nutrients. But as we approach week 7 those two last nutrients will be gone and I will just be watering plain PH balanced water at around 6.3 ph. As far as maintenance goes there was not a whole lot to do just clear out dead leaf from the under brush of my plants. The buds are starting to really thicken up which is a very good sign as they tend to get very bigger in week 6. As a result I had to use garden wire to support some bud sites and to make the plant a tad more compact since there is little room in my tent any more. My audio grow log can be found on dopefiend.co.uk web site and on Itunes under Grow Nation.

Again the week went well. having more and more issues keeping some branches up but that's what garden wire and training are for. I have decided to drop the cal mag and the big bud. We are in the final phase of nutrients and will be flushing shortly. Been clearing out dead leaves as is tradition this phase of the grow. Plants smell great and I have a good feeling about this crop. My only let down has been the experience with the bubblegum. The variations in my two plants lead me to believe that the two seeds are of different strains. I will post a side by side at the end of this journal to let you know what I mean. Been running my dehumidifer constantly with humidity staying between 45-55%. No moisture has been seen on leaves and air flow is continuing as normal. This was the second to last week for nutrients. As with the later stage of flower were almost in auto pilot mode. The only real issue at this point is one over fertilized plant. I will start to flush that at 7 ish weeks. So far So good. Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been busy with life in general.

Final week of feed. Nothing really drastic changing except the pistils. Due to the weather I have been able to shut down my dehumidifier. The colder weather is coming and that means I will have a dryer grow space.

These are the final days of the grow and as such I have done little if anything to them. For the last 2 waterings I have used flora kleen to get rid of any excess nutrients. The fade has also set in which means maintenance of dead leaves. Did not water 3-4 days prior to harvest to make sure that the drying process would proceed swiftly. Currently burping jars. All 9 plants made it. :) Harvest info will be posted as soon as episode 9 of grow nation at dopefiend.co.uk The season finale will be posted 2 weeks after ep 9.

My highest yielder. The plants are compact and are good for a scrog of SOG. Still waiting on the cure but the taste is not my favorite. But it is effective medicine.

It produced as expected. This is not my first dance with Sweet Deep Grapefruit and it most certainly won't be the last. This is the cheapest strain you can get from their line. However don't let that fool you as it is a nice relaxing indica with a excellent taste and smell.

So far the weight did not impress me but the quality was probably my best out of the 3 strains. Will be tackling this one again with a bit more TLC as I still have two beans left.
