So here we go again with some hopefully amazing new genetics from fastbuds to experiment with. I was very impressed with my previous testers and am looking forward to seeing what they kick out. So far I have had issues with germination and ended with inly 3 of the 9 I tried to herm fro the remaining testers I had !. I am so glad i at least got these ladies this far. 2 will be grownni living organic soil oots and 1 in the nft tanks fed on Megacrop. Not much to look at yet but the FFT9 has took off and been topped with a fimming. She is starting to look trainable now so will be bent soon. The other 2 will be a little longer wait but all in good time. Fingers crossed for some fruity fun .
Hi all. This week has been a very productive one for the LOS girls who have bounced back from their fimming and toppings.
The FFT#8 is just settling in to the NFT tank. I think she is still getting over the transplant shock but is getting more settled.
The FFT#9 is a big girl already. She is the biggest other 2 los ladies and only post 1 limb so far from a snap. Shebhas some nice potential mains forming to play with and I look forward to seeing what she offers up.
FFT#10 Is coming along good. She has rebounded well from her fim session and I will start pulling her mains down for her lst quads.
No issues so far so let's see how the heatwave coming goes !!. Be safe growmies.
UPDATE: A mixed 2mweek this week with root rit showing up in the growroom and attacking a few of the ladies. Thankfully the FFT#9 and #10 did not have animating to do with that at all but the Fft#8 has taken a hit. Her cube was very badly hit by it and the rootzone was badly affected. They were yellow for over a week while i tried to fathom the issue. I initially thought the lights were too bright and also did some chenical stuff to try to rectify it. I should have known better with the heatwaves hittingnus here in the UK again and losing so many a few weeks back. Thankfully it is sorted out now and they can get on with growing.
The diggerence between the #9and 10 is mainly size so far but i fimmed the #10 so she is matching the #9 for growth tips so far.
#8 Is a poorly looking lady amd needs a little more recovery time i think but I am confident she will fight back. I will meed to keep on veg cycle while others I am doing get big enough to flip too so these girls will be monster by the time i flip.
I am using supercropped method to create quads for them but I already have so much growth to deal with, I think I will be busy for a while here. Lol
The LOS pots are feeding so well and take 7-8l each every couple of days. Witb the temps up at 30°c for the last few days , Ian not too surprised. Peace and blessing growmies
Hi all
Another week in the heat and all are still alive and well.
FFT#8 Is now at the bare maximum , showing some green. !! She took such a terrible hit in the NFT tank due to high temps here in the UK. The cube it was in has been crumbling and rotting but has now been treated so she is in a new space in the other tank. Her size is tiny a d inthinknit will be a miracle if she makes a good harvest. She did well to survive the root rot though son there is hope.
FFT#9 Has has a brilliant week catching up with the other ladies in soil pots. I began training her out a couple of weeks ago and have now re bent her knuckles to pump them up again. I took a lot of lower growth out to get some airflow around her now and she is taking on a planned ball shape nicely. She is a nice syrain to grow sonfar and is starting to have a tacky feel to her when handled. She is also taking on a little fruit smell too.
FFT#10 Is a monster in the making. Her stems are nice and thick and have tooknreally well to the training sessions. Like her counterpart , she is tacky to touch now and a hint of a smell is starting. Her overall size in the huge pot is at least 3ft across already. Having to wait for the FFT#8 to catch up is going to be a task. The soil pots are taking a good 8L every 2 days and not looking overrated at all. They are so healthy and vigerous.
Be safe Growmies
Update: A productive and busy week in the farm this week.
FFT#8 Got moved into the same tank as the other plants. Shebhas now thankfully started producing new roots and top growth too. With 2 weeks to catch up with her counterparts from germination alone , she jad a tall task ahead. Now with the recovery time and damage she took , her path is even more determined and set. I am hoping another week will give her some height to at least be flipped as her friends need to get into their flowering cycle now.
FFT#9 Is responding to her supercropping well and staying put now. She jas a nice sized canopy forming of around 2ft so far . I am mindful of the stretch at this point so want to set her up into a good foundation for tall colas when i flup them. The strainnis very easy to work with and tooknfhe bending and supercropping with ease. So far it is a dream to work with. She is starting to smell "pissy" as most do at this point so all good so far.
FFT#10 Is the biggest plant in the room at this point. Hwt stems are very thick and strong looking. Leaves are a nice dark green and very thick and large on her fans. They all had a defol earlier in the week and she has quickly replaced so much of her leaf matter already. A nice healthy and vigerous plant. She will be flattened a little more for the flip so I can manage her frame better.
All told these ladies are proving to be great strains as the other have been and I am looking forward to seeing what they can harvest too now.
Be well folks
Hi all. This week has been a busy one with a bit of defol and lst on the 2 big ladies .
FFT#8 is still a tiny shade on her cousins in this grow. She is getting better and now showing some vertical growth. Her colour is getting better too. She will hopefully be flower able within a couple of weeks.
FFT#9 has raced ahead this week and shows real promise for a big girl finish. Her quad and 5th node fim are putting out some excellent mains. They have a lot of growth on each tip to help form some nice stacked colas. I thinned her out fair bit and have tied her out a little wider too. She is around 2.5 ft wide now and has plenty of space for lateral growth. She will be flowered with the sp250 and the tsl2000 so will have lots of lumens to exploit.
FFT#10 is also a great grower and is beginning to look very kush and indica style. She wants to go vertical and keeping her lower is hard with her thick stems. A little thinning out has given a nice airflow around base now. Like her cousin she is around 2.5 ft at this point and looks like she will be another big lady. I am looking forward to the next weeks growth . Be safe
Hi all. Hope we are all well amd healthy. This was the last weeks veg period for the FFT crew. The poorly girls are not going to break any records for returns in the grow but thankfully the 2 that are in soil are more than making up for the miniture FFT#8. she is the right colour at least . Her size really is small which is down to the root rot issues that hit the tank hard.
FFT#9 is a different game all together and is getting very big. I expect the stretch to help flatten and widen her out to give a nice sized canopy. Inner growth is getting nice and plentiful too so should be a good yielder.
FFT#10 is really looking Indica leaning now with the colour of deep green all the way through. Her leaves are nice and broad for those lumens that need to be grabbed too. I would love to know what these strains are and have a few of the FFT i would vertainly purchase and grow. I think most of us testing them have a very positive experience in general
Well done Fastbuds.
Lets see these ladies with some stretch on next week. I will use this week to get them as lateral and flat as possible and rhen use atretch week 2 to build the bud spikes. Plan is to defoliate at around day 18/19 as they are fast flowering so should be showing some flowers forming by then. Thet are alsondue sone ecothrive charge , bio-sys and life cycle to boost them for their flowering start.
Hi all , hope we are all well and safe?.
Day 7: Lets start the update with the new configuration. Using the new sp3000 on tje recovering mft tank cant ne useful at all so i have now put the 2 L.O.S FFT girls directly under this and used the sp250 as an extra side lighting to them too. It still catches the NFT and FFT#8 with plenty of par but the main focus can now be put into creating big framed lower plants with more than enough light to assist. After the stretch period ends , i am going to defol and get them in their final position for bud stacking. This will open the canopy even wider for light to penetrate.
FFT#8 is nice and green but still tiny even after a week of stretching. Her root damage and recovery have ruined any chance of really seeing the best from this tester bit as ssheje looks so happy , i will continue with her.
FFT#9 Is a monster in comparison to #8 and with only 2 weeks and a bout of root rot between them is impossible to believe. Her limbs are solid under the canopy with a great structure to build buds on. She measures approx 2.5ft across her width now and has a lot of very healthy stacking growing tips. Each one is like a mini version of a plant itself and should produce some very nice buds stacks. She is giving out a weedy fruit smell now too and along with her hairy tips , looks close to her stretch ending. I saw the bract hairs and odd white pistil from around day 3 of flipping which show their quick flowering genetics so well. Seeing other FFT#9 grows gives me a great boost to what this strain can do. For a new grower it would be simple to grow and very responsive to care and training too.
FFT#10 This lady is the only dark , broad leaved girl in thebhouse amd is growing with longer node spacing tjan the others . she want to keep going vertical and has really shown some growth during the stretch desoite her supercropping. She will benefit from the defol at day 21 and be opened up more to catch all her lower growth too. She looks and feels so healthy up close and hwr lower pot growth is solid for a foundation. I woukd like to see this strain grown natural , i bet it would be huge without being held down.
Be well and safe growmies. Until next week. Peace and love
Yet another brilliant winner strain from the guys at fast buds. From the beginning she was a great plant tonwork with and took to all the training I threw at her. she bent and shaped perfectly and wanted to go wide. She fed well and didn't show any signs of any issues throughout the grow. She started showing flowers after 4 days from lights flip and continuously built her bids to beautiful long colas with very close nodes. This helped build some great looking colas. I am hoping g fast buds hot me up again for some more of their genetics so I can get on some more of their amazing genetics soon......
I CANNOT POST ANY VIDEOS ????
What a good week it has been for main 2 ladies.
FFT#8 Is showing flowers now but is not worth the effort at this point beyond keeping hwr alive. Sadly not her fault at all and nothing to do with the strain or seed. Heat kills !!!
FFT#9 Has been amazing from the off and been so easy to work with too. Her overall steucrure is around 2.5ft across amd her spikes from the stretch have gone well and approx 8 inches has been an average . She is stacking her nodes nice and tightly already and her development for 2 weeks from flipping is way quicker than previous FFT Runs i have done. She has some very nice thick stems below decks and the flowering goes from tip to base. I will be defloliating at around day 21 to further encourage her lower growth and with the extra available light and space , i hope to avoid any popcorn or larf this way. She is very healthy amd a beautiful green colour . i am very impressed with this strain and like previous grows, would love to know their names and genetics. All in good time i suppose....
FFT#10 Has had a very good stretch week too. She is a taller more lanky legged strain and her thicker leaves and dark colour make her stand out among the rest of the girls. Her node lengths look less parted now she has another week under her belt and seeing how well developed they are at this stage , gives me hopes of an 8 week to completion feeling.
Overall this has been a great week for bud development and the end of their stretch periods. Another week of letting them decide who is the best main bud amd vying for position and i will then defol and put them into their final position for the finish.
Be safe and well folks.
Update Day 22 flowering: A good week of bud building this week for the Fft Girls.
FFT#8 Is still in here but not a lot tonsay about her really sadly I didn't get to try this one out properly but will try again sometime.
FFT#9 Has been a dream to work with and build so far . Her progression this week on her flower building has been perfection. Her ruderalis traits had her stretch about finished at day 12 and she had begun to flower properly. I did a defoliate at day 19 instead of day 21 due to their faster genetics. They looked stripped below decks but by day 21 they refilled a few back out and now look leafed up again. lol She has a little tackiness tot her stems now and is picking up a nice piney smell. She has some great looking mains now and should be a good yielder.
FFT#10 Another winner in my book. This lady wanted to grow her own way initially but has now accepted her fate and behaves as i wanted niw. lol.
Her budstacks are a little wider apart due to her indica/sativa ratios being more indica I feel . Her dark green colour is so stark in contrast to the other strains too. Her stacks look more leafy orientated than the other strains too. i defoliated her too but she responded quickly with sugar leaf growth. Her bud sizes are looking promising to say she has 4-5 weeks to go so fingers crossed for baseball bat colas. She has been easy to grow with no issues at any point so far. prior to the defol , I had purposely dried them out to get a cycle going better of wet /dry. She showed her disapproval first with major leaf drooping across her whole frame. She is a thirsty girl too. I am happy with all of these testers and impressed at their rapid development too. I do think the new sp3000 has plated a part in this development too as the extra reds and stuff added are more for the flowering cycle than previous sp series ones.
the Sp250 is giving me a great addition to the outside edge of the girls so should keep them all in max lumens until the harvest. Be safe and well folks.
Thanks for stopping by.
Day 28 Flowering: The bud building continues.
FFT#8 Is so sad to look at now in comparison. she is budding but so small it will be a shock to get a joint from her .lol
FFT#9 Is looking like a real contender for yield champion this run. Her long forming colas are so good to look at close up and so neatly packed in too. She has many long donkey's to fill out now and with 5 weeks left to run, I think she will do well. She is smelling nice and fruity with a hint of fuel too now and beginning to push trichrome production too. Still cannot place her strain yet but one i will certainly be doing again when I find out.
FFT#10 Has some very thick colas forming up and plenty of sugar leaves to cover in her abundant trichs. She is a great producer of frost already and I am convinced she has some cookie or wedding cake in her parentage ?. Her darker colour and wider leaves show her Indica leaning before her wider noded structure does. she smells a dangerous earthy spicey aroma now and i think she will give the Fft#9 a run for yield too. She did respond to the gentler lst I did with keeping her 5th but it has meant she kept saying more vertical than wide and flat. not an issue i am pleased to find out and I coukd possibly use more height in the next run I do with the autos lined up to do. I had hoped Fastbuds would have responded with a request to run their genetics but time ran out waiting and I needed to plan so went with another breeders autos offered. I do love fast buds and their genetics.
Until next week ( or patience gives out and I update this weeks.lol) Be safe and well Growmies
Day 35 Flowering: A great week for the ladies this week with their hunger outweighing the living soils capacity.!!
I noticed the leaves were starting to fade out a little over the last week or so . I have experience of this from the last 2 crops with the living organic soil. It does seem that even 60L of soil with amendments is not enough to power through the whole cycle when I grow them bigger. This has now meant I can use the amazing MegaCrop again but as a support to the L.O.S . The herd and rootzone will happily work with MC and have no negative affect on the life there. I plan to push them on the feeds to give them a boost for the last couple of weeks growth to come. The FFT#9 and #10 are both pumping power into bud production nownwithbsome beautiful looking colas on the pair of them.
FFT#9 Has spread her budstacks out quite well but did need a little supercropping on the side under the sp250 to stop her hitting the light and get her length some full spectrum too. She has a fuel , sweet smell in effect now and stinks my loft space out too. The shape and size of her buds is excellent. Each one is a chunky ,solid and packed stack of tightly squeezed in pistils and she is not stopping yet it seems. A beauty to work with so far.
FFT#10 Her week has been bustly with the amount of effort she has packed into her tight hairy bud stacks. She is a wide lady too. Her dark colour is a warning of her potency I hope....
She has some very long , leafy colas compared to the FFT#9 but her trich production will see them put to good use in hash from the trimmed harvest. She smells really strong of sherbet when agitated or hungry so I wonder what her genetics were from amd cannotnwsit to find out all of these FTT mystery strains. not a bad one among them so far and I don't think there will any dissatisfaction from these girls either. Nice Job @fastbuds ....
Day 42 Update : Well folks , we are getting towards a finish now. The FFT #8 is still a bud on a stick style so we won't visit that one at all !!.
FFT#9 Is now pushing some very nice trichromes out throughout her many mains. The bud structures are solid on her and she jas somewhere nice long colas stacks that are fattening up daily now. She is in her budswell stage now and has a beautiful fruity smell oozing from her. She is starting tonget some nice pinky colour appearing deep in the bud too which makes them look very nice
FFT#10 Looks like she is trying to escape with her main stem off tonthe side looking for the sp250. Her buds are also rock solid with a really candy sweet smell She is nice and dark again since I have been adding the megacrop and shogun products and her stack girth indicates she will be a nice yield come harvest.
Another 2 winner strains from this range nice work Fastbuds. Now we need to know who they are. lol
Day 49: Week 7 behind 8s mow and onto the final stretch now. These ladies have been great performers for me in the grow I wish I had more of them to do !!!...
Fft#9 is bursting with fresh pistils again now and should swell like a trooper this week.
Rhe bids are rock solid under the new pistils and her smellnis so sweet like picked fruit now.Their size is more than I expected but had hoped they would attain before the final swell and ripening. She has a good few hidden gems tucked away below decks too which will be fun to find on harvest and trim. Her biggest main is doing excellent and a great guide for her siblings to grow too hopefully.
FFT#10 Is looking mean and nasty in a good way. Her darkness warns of impending loss of clarity and vision if messed with in my opinion !!!. lol
She looks so different to the other ladies and her bud structure is below the main tops is a little less compacted. She is covered in trichs and her can sweetness is blatent at the slightest touch. She wanted to grow her way throughout the grow and even when tied and bent , she found a way to upset the symmetrical desire I had in mind Cant beat an independent lady who knows best !. She is so tacky when handled too. I thought she was so close to finish but she is still putting a few new pistils out over her mains so she may go another 2 weeks too. I am determined to hit the sweet spots with these two ladies and am also applying a little drought stress for the next 7 days This is to test the theory out a little and see if we can get them as pitent as possible too.
fingers crossed Growmies. be safe and well. thanks for stopping by.
UPDATE##### Day 54 and the FFT#10 is done she finished beautifully and will be trimmed for a low slow dry amd harvest.
Day 56 Flowering: We are finally at an harvest window after only seeing the poor fft#8 pulled early.
FFT#9 is still giving out lots of new pistils so wants to continue a bit longer . She has some very nice bud stacks that will benefit from another weeks swelling and growth. I decided to end the drought stress and feed again as I could not risk slowing the. down too much at this stage now.
She has a lot of trichromes covering her sugar leaves and buds too but they are still fairly clear when I looked at them with the loupe. By the amount of fresh pistils still showing and popping out , she will be good for at least another week and plenty more feeds.
This strain is a beautiful smelling and growing beasty. a sure fire winner once released.
FFT#10 Has been in the dark for nearly 3 days now and will be trimmed up later for her drying period. She looks absolutely perfect in the flesh amd pics do not do her justice. Nice, fat , long and trich covered colas throughout the plant amd I cannot wait to sample that beautiful candy smelling trich monster.
Be safe and Well growmies
Day 63 Flowering: Well folks we have reached that point where it has all been focused on.
The Fft#9 has been a great performer from seed to finish amd i cannot fault the genetics at all. She has responded to all the training with no issues at all. Easy to work with and hardy enough to take some punishment with supercropping ect... Buds smell fruity with a hint of diesel to them and are so sticky icky now too. Her trichs are all cloudy and she has a nice proportion of emerging Amber's so tonight she will goninto 48 hrs dark before inhanf her for drying alongside the FFT@10 who has had a week hanging in approx 4°C and 18°C as the outside temps drop. She is still a waybof dry and will possibly be another week if I leave her in this position in the roof space. Once I hang the FFT#9 in the tent and begin her drying , I will move the fft10 too. I could not be happier with these twontesters as they have performed excellently. brilliant job fast buds. roll on harvest time.
Another winning tester strain in my book. She was clearly a different genetic strain to the others and looked so out thee on her own for shape and leaf size/colour too. The last to go into the big pots and the first to harvest , shows her speed of flowering too. Her yield result does not take I to account the 2oz ( approx) that I took towards the last weeks or so to dry , as i ran to dankruptcy on my own stash so he final yield does not include this... overall a strain well worth growing but needs space to do her own thing. she responded to lst well but went wild as soon as I cut her ties. Another winner fast buds...
