****Week 4 - Aug 10 to 16, 2020 - Days 22 to 28 from germination******
This week has been positive and negative with respect to growth size this week from the girls🤪🤪
They were fed on four different days this week. With them being autos I have been trying to keep their feedings light this run. May have it a little too light but time will tell. Too much feed anD they will stunt their growth so been keeping that in mind. Verified LAK1 runoff numbers on day 24 and it was 585ppm with 7.0pH. Starting to see some drift on the pH. Keep the feed pH in the 5.8 range and not higher, water at a lower pH as well going forward. They appear to have reacted well to the CalMag only feeding with 5.2pH feeding on day 27.
LAK2 is a funny girl and has been ever since she cracked her seed in germination. I should have just discarded her but now I am taking it as a challenge to get her to come out of this funk. Don’t care about the yield from this girl, it will be poor, as I am more interested in what happens to her as she goes through transition and her stretch.....will she shoot up finally? Started to add Silica to all the girls this week and will see if that helps with her stretch and stem strengthening🤞Stripped off 4 of her larges fan leaves mid week to allow access to lower growth. She has no problems growing fan leaves😃
LAK3 was looking a little poor and small overall the first half of the week. Removed some lower fan leaves and supported her main stem a little better and she was looking pretty good by the end of the week😃 Just staying patient with her not trying to “correct” too many things.
Little more detail:
Aug 10/20 - Day 22
- 1.5L feed - Vitathrive, VeloKelp @ 2ml, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml, CalMag and Piranha @ 1ml
- 925ppm and 5.9pH
-
- full strength feeding today to help build up the mediums.
Aug 12/20 - Day 24
- 2L feed - RhinoSkin and Microbes @ 1.5ml, Vitathrive, Dual Fuel, CalMag @ 1ml
- 700ppm and 5.8pH
- checked run off numbers today on LAK1, 585ppm and 7.0pH. Good with ppm but want the pH lower.
Aug 15/20 - Day 27
- 2L feed - CalMag @ 1ml
- 285ppm and 5.2pH
- left them to dry out for a couple of days and then hit them with a lower pH watering.
- see how they reacts to this in the next days.
Aug 16/20 - Day 28
- 2L feed - Rhino, CalMag, Vitathrive, Liquid Weight @ 1ml, Dual Fuel, VeloKelp @ 1.5ml
- 925ppm and 5.6pH
- They have reacted well to drying out and the lower pH CalMag feed yesterday.
- Since pots were so dry the other day I fed them again today
That wraps up week 4 for the girls. They have been growing and keeping things interesting this week. They are continuing to advance and grow but not sure what to expect from LAK2 right now?? LAK1 is rocking it and is the strong pheno of the three. LAK3 is taking her time but suspect she will come along and will just be a smaller girl😃
Sorry for the delay on the updates last two weeks......finishing up summer holidays and trying to enjoy the last days of summer in my neck of the woods 👍☹️ Have a great week peeps and hope you are finding yourselves outside and getting some sun😃
@Tweezer, Thanks Growmie!!! I had big hopes for this diary.......time will tell if it works out. I really needed three growing at a similar pace to trust some of the results.
Its about the love of the plant and keeping the grows interesting.......its all good no matter what happens......there will still be bud in the jars at the end😀🙏
