Start of another adventure. This grow will start outdoors and then be brought in to flower. The seed was floated in a shot glass of purified water, and then contents (including water) were dumped into soil once tap root was 1/8th inch long (2 days). Seed in soil date 7/29/20 Medium- 45% FF Ocean Forest 45% FF Happy Frog 10% Added Organic Perlite Small starting bed of Jiffy Organic Seed Starting mix 5 gal Fabric "smart pot" Soil was blended and then pre-saturated with rain water Watering the first 10 days will be only water purified by reverse osmosis. After 10 days all water will be a 50/50 blend of dechlorinated tap water and purified bottled water. The blend runs 5.9-6.2% pH. The bottled water is sourced from a local bottling company with whom I have an arrangement and very favorable pricing. Will start dating the grow once seed has emerged. The plan is to veg this plant outdoors for 6 weeks while the current tent run finishes up, then move indoors to flower under 2 Phlizon LED (rated 900 watts actual draw is 176 watts each). 8/1 Day 1 8/3 Outdoor daytime temps still running about 90 ish, not ideal for seedlings but we're making it work. Direct sun during mornings and partial shade during the hottest part of day. Dewpoints still running 60-70 so plenty humid, and I feel like any type of humidity dome would just be more like an oven than anything else so not using any. Currently giving about 40 ml of purified water daily. 8/6 Second set of leaves. Not growing quickly due to high daytime temps (95f). 8/8 Daytime temps approaching 100f. Hoping to make it through the next couple weeks and then hopefully it'll cool back down some. Currently getting full sun about 4-5 hours a day and shaded during the hottest part of the afternoon. When it cools down a little will move it to full sun for majority of the day. 8/9 began switching water to the blend I use. This next week will be 3/1 purified water blended with de-chlorinated tap water. Next week will begin the 50/50 blend for duration of the grow. Stake for support added.

8/10-8/16 8/10 Top dressed soil for pest control due to unknown (probably grasshopper or caterpillar) pest damage to seedling. Pushing 3rd set of leaves. 8/12 daytime temps of 100+ forecast every day for the next week, and the seedlings aren't diggen it. Fabricated my DIY scrog "table" and set it at 10" above soil 8/14 I think the poor little "Guard Gnome" is praying this plant will hurry up and provide him some shade. Supposed to be 110 today...ouch! 8/15 Today is actually day 15 so I started feeding. 25 oz of above formula applied as far away from stalk as possible to encourage roots to reach for it. 8/16 a severe thunderstorm came through this evening with 65-70 mph winds and dime to nickel sized hail and heavy heavy rain. Fortunately had enough advance warning to move the girls to the back patio which is covered. Left them close enough to the perimeter to catch some of the rain water blowing around.

8/17-8/23 8/17 We got 2.5 inches of rain last night, so soil is completely saturated and probably won't need to be watered again for several days, which will interrupt the feeding schedule just started. Temps supposed to be better this week ranging low to mid 90's daytime and around 70 at night. 8/20 Topped for the first time today. Plan is to 4-way lst then top the new branches. Its going to be really close on getting her inside before the length of daylight initiates flowering as we're already down to 13 hours of daylight here. 8/22 sprinkled with a little bit of seven dust and dripped a couple drops of peppermint essential oil on soil (pest prevention program) She will be given her second feeding today from column 2 of GHE flora program chart plus cal-mag and molasses all at 1/2 strength.

8/24-8/30 8/24 Daytime temps will once again be near 100 degrees this week, and I expect it will slow growth again. Probably lack about 2 weeks till it's able to be brought inside and put in the tent. Increased feeding to full strength from column 2 GHE flora series chart plus cal-mag 8/25 plant had grown to touch the screen so began lst to prepare her for the scrog. when the 4 branches reach the screen again all 4 will be topped and from there on will be worked into the screen until flip. Temps toward the end of the week again forecasted to be at or above 100 so will need to be closely watched. 8/28 8/28 We got 2 inches of rain yesterday evening, though I had moved plants to where they only got the blowing spray and no direct rainfall. Temps the next 3 days are forecast to be near 105 with high humidity, and then by 1 week from today supposed to be in mid to high 80's. Not exactly ideal growing conditions for cannabis. Local outdoor growers are all moving into flower now, and I'm leaving the patio lights on over night hoping to avoid that until I can get them into the tent around 2 weeks from now. 8/29 it reached 106 yesterday, with a heat index of 112, OUCH! temps today and tomorrow in mid 90's then mid 80 after that. Getting anxious to get these girls indoors and under the lights for 18/6 schedule.

8/31-9/6 8/31. plant has reached the screen again. Will be topping the 4 main tops later this week and from there just weaving into the screen. Temps are supposed to be much better this week with todays high forecast at 95, then mid to upper 80's the rest of the week. Also forecast to get between 2 and 6 inches of rain over the next several days. I'll pick one of those days and re-locate the plants so they get a good old soaking from mother nature. 9/2 yesterday I let the plants sit in the rain (when it was falling gently) and soak up about an inch or so then brought back under the patio cover. "4way" lst was done this morning as plants were again toughing the screen. Will hit them again with seven dust end of the week, then "quarantine" for 48 hours, then into the tent for another 3 weeks veg before flipping 9/5 VERY much excited to see what this one will do with sgrogging since the last one of this strain (with only minor LST did so well). Today is moving day. Tent has been vacated, sanitized, light leaks sealed, and equipment re-arranged to set up for a scrog grow. Plan to set light schedule up on 18/6 and over the next week increase to 20/4 until the flip. Will top the 4 distal ends that were previously tied down next week. Girls all moved in to new home. 9/6 Man, you gotta love southern OK. Last week we had a high temperature of 109 deg on one day, this next week we'll have a high temp of 55 degrees one day. Thats a 54 deg temp differential in 1 week. Glad we made the move to indoors this week!!!

9/7-9/13 9/9 Plant settled in nicely to tent life. Still have a few gnats flying about in there, eliminating them as quickly as possible. Have continued to tie down and direct branching outwards as they develop, still keeping everything under the screen. 9/11 FIM'd all new growth tips. From here on will allow new growth to reach the screen and start working on filling grids.

9/14-9/20 9/14 Moved up to column 3 on the GHE Flora series chart (for late veg growth) which will be the nute schedule for the next 2 weeks. Appears to have recovered nicely from fimming the multiple tops last week. Still having some issues with gnats, but nothing terrible. This plant is quite vigorous in its growth. 2 more weeks in the veg cycle. We've started guiding branches in the directions that will be needed to fill the screen. Really hope I'm doing this right as it's my first attempt at scrog. 9/15 We've been in the tent now for 10 days. Much LST has occurred over that time period. Up to now the lights have only been running on the "veg" switch, today the bloom switch was also turned on for the remainder of this grow. I expect the additional lighting will greatly accelerate the growth. Hoping to have about 75% of the screen filled over the next 10 days or so and then flip to a 12/12 schedule. 9/18 She appears to be right on my pre-planned schedule, growing rapidly with several new growth tips developing. This one will easily fill its grid. 10 more veg days then will be put into flower.

9/21-9/27 9/21 changed nutrients to "transition" schedule for this week. Did some defoliation of the under side of screen so that the lollipopping won't be so traumatic at the end of this week. Gnats have been eradicated and no other pest present. Looks like we'll be good to flip into flower on the 28th as scheduled. 9/24 continuing to prune/trim a little every day as I continue to stretch her out under the screen. 9/26 fed with 96 oz column 4 of GHE basic chart (transition). Lollipop completed. Today will be last full day of 18/6 schedule 9/27 flipped to flower today 12/12 schedule, will add de-humidifier later in the week if its needed. There are a few nights in the next weeks forecast where the overnight low is supposed to be in the 40's which means the heater will be run at night. Nothing is as efficient at dehumidifying a home as running the heater. Its funny how much the weather still effects the growing environment even indoors, but in this little corner of paradise humidity is always an issue except in the cold temps of late fall and winter. Still skeptical on whether "scrogging" is going to make as big an increase in yield as everyone says. I'm pretty sure I've executed the method correctly, if anyone with more experience cares to weigh in based on the pics I've posted I'd be happy for the comments.

9/28-10/4 9/28 Today is the first full day in flower cycle. Changed nutrient regimen to column 5 (early bloom) on the GHE flora series basic chart. Still not quite sure I've done this scrog technique properly, but am continuing to move tops to the next available grid space each day. Last plant of this strain stretched rapidly for about 18 days. With that in mind this one should more than fill the entire grid....fingers crossed 9/30 continuing to weave into the grid, about 10 more days of this, then will trim away the lesser bud sites and let her do her thing from there. 10/3 thinned out above the screen and cleared out below to increase airflow and light penetration.

10/5-10/11 10/5 First full week of flower completed. Will not be "weaving" any more but will continue to tie to screen to keep canopy nice and even. This one isn't noticeably stretching yet, but given my previous experience with this strain it should commence this week. Will likely have to switch places with the other plant in the tent because there's more vertical space available on that side of tent. Still not entirely convinced that "scrogging" is going to live up to the hype, or that I've even executed the technique correctly. Time will tell, fingers crossed. 10/7 switched nutrients to column 7 of the GHE flora chart 10/10 first, Happy Birthday to the love of my life!!! Like the finest bourbon, aged to perfection 30 years!! So after 2 weeks in flower only just now starting to actually look like flower is beginning. Obviously this strain, as with the Mazar she shares the tent with, are strains that take longer than average to transition. I don't think either one is going to fill the screen entirely. Probably going to just let them run from here. I'm guessing as the Master Budx said, maybe a week to 10 days longer in veg before flipping will solve that next time if I do scrog again. If final weights aren't a significant improvement, I doubt I will try this again and just stick with topping and LST on the next grow.

10/12-10/18 10/12 continuing to transition. She's starting to show pistils now but not exactly in abundance. Plant overall is healthy and shows no signs of deficiency. 10/14 tucked the tallest shoots back into screen today. This will be the last of the training, she'll be allowed to do her own thing from here on. She didn't fill the entire screen, only missing the very outer grids, but several squares have 2 or more "colas" in them. 10/17 starting to see some yellowing/fading of leaves, too early for it to be the standard pre-harvest fade. I'm assuming I cut the nitrogen to soon so will add some into the next feeding.

10/19-10/25 10/19 This plant beginning to show signs of deficiency so I upped the "gro" additive by 50%, and will switch to feeding with every watering for next couple weeks. 10/22 really bummed that I wasn't able to completely fill the screen, but I can at least see the potential developing and think it will indeed increase yield as compared to just LST

10/26-11/1 Now feeding from column 9 of GHE chart, which now eliminates the "grow" portion of the trio. Starting to get pretty frosty. I expect 4-6 more weeks till it's finished up. 10/30 Ok who ran over a skunk in my bedroom?! Moving along nicely, the fade is setting in. For the 3rd watering this week I used plain blended H2O and 10 ml of FF Cultivation Nation per gallon just to add a little variety into the schedule. 10/31 flushed due to pH@ 7.6 and starting to show some stress beyond just the normal fading. Used 1 gal tap, 1 gal blend, 1 gal purified, will continue to monitor.

11/9-11/15 11/10 pH issue resolved. This plant is still covered in white pistils, but already showing about 10% amber heads on trichomes. Best guess is about 2-3 weeks till harvest. Will keep a close eye on the trich's to prevent over ripening. Feeding now only once a week, discontinued blending the tap water and mixing nutes only with the purified water. AC went out in the room where the tent is, so had about 48 hours of increased temps and increased humidity (75%) until I could get it replaced. 11/14 Buds are starting to fatten up nicely, and the smell is getting strong. Today will serve as the last feeding for this girl, just straight purified water to finish out. Won't be doing an actual flush, since I had to recently do that to correct the pH issue. Have also cut the lights back to 10/14 to help her finish up.

11/16-11/22 11/17 This plant receiving only plain purified water now. Went ahead and defoliated today. Thanksgiving day will be day 60F, so that's the planned harvest date. I'll say this, after handling this plant just a little during defoliation it could put the super glue company, out of business!! 11/19 just waiting out the last week. It's so pretty, and stinky, and sticky!! Waiting out this last week always reminds me of, as a kid, the night before going to Disneyland, lol. Its excruciating.😬

Happy Harvest Day!

Didn't get the really long slender colas like the last one of this strain. I'm assuming it's mostly the result of the multiple topping, fimming, and super cropping done during early to mid veg. This girl yielded one oz less using the scrog method, as opposed to the last one using only LST and topping once. I'm sure I'd have done much better if I'd given her a 10-12 week veg as opposed to 8. Live and learn right?
