Started my ILGM Critical Mass CBD seeds using Soak and Paper towel method. Once seed cracked with 1/2” tail, I transplanted seeds into a presoaked Rapid Rooter using 6.5 PH RO with just CalMag and RapidStart. Put under Led at 18” height, dimmed down to 250 umol par. Once the cotyledons leaves are opened up and green “, I bumped up the pars to 350 umol. On day 7 I transplanted the seedlings into 1 gal fabric pots once I saw white roots poking through the Rapid Rooter. I then bumped up the light to 500 umol pars at 24” height.
Transplanted RapidRooter seedling into Organics Roots Soiless medium in 1 gal fabric pots. I feed these girls every 2 days with Recharge 1/4 tsp in between feedings. Airflow is really important as it will get how really quick if circulating fans or exhaust fans are off. Growth is compact and really loving these new VisparSpectra p1500 full spectrum led. Can’t wait to see how they will handle flowering.
These girls are showing some decent growth this past week. I have performed Nugbuckets method of mainline at the end of the third week once they had developed about 6 nodes. I have raised the nutrients to about 750ppm as well.
So far so good! Hopefully in a few weeks I can flip. I currently have two toppings done with 4 mains. I would like to top 2 more times for a total of 16 main colas. Growth has been very compact and short. Once the new growth tips get 3-4 nodes I will top them again. I did transplant to a bigger pot from 1 gal to 3gal fabric pots. Before I flower I will put them in their final pot size of 5 gal.
I’m thinking of switching my nutes to GHE FloraNova series from now on for this grow. I have been using recharge x1 a week. I use RO w/ CaliMagic, RapidStart and Orca every other feeding.
I had two plants in the tent but dropped the other plant due to slow and abnormal growth. Will do 1 plant in the 2x4 grow tent.
Week 5 and seems to be growing as planned. Seems to be liking the FloraNova really well. It really does simplify the nutes as it 2 less bottles and less to worry about the ratios. We will see next week how they respond to the nutes further down.
After a long week of stunted growth due to the last topping she started to grow rapidly! I did also change up the nutes to FloraNova Grow so I don’t know if that kicked started her but she is definitely showing signs of rapid growth. I never grew this strain before so it’s definitely a learning curve as far as nutes and how well she tops. Anyways can’t wait to flip to 12/12! I’ll wait till the top branches reach 6-10 nodes then I’ll start the flip. I’ll definitely will be transplanting to a larger fabric pot (7gal) soon.
1st week of flower, nothing really spectacular just a V-8 monster, getting ready to pump out those colas to the roof! I forgot to take pictures of this week so I reposted photos from last weeks update.
Week 2 of flower and there is a rapid growth of vegetation. She will definitely need some defoliation soon! Very bushy and compact growth! This phenotype definitely has a lot of leaves! Definitely getting some bud formations!
Almost at the end of week 3 flower. Did some major defoliation and slowly adjust the nutes from grow to bloom over the course of early bloom. So far stretch was very minimal more like 30-50% from veg. This strain is for sure bushy and compact. So far a delight to grow and no deficiencies yet. I did notice that when transplanting during late Veg, I had some calcium deficiencies. It was most likely the Roots Soiless medium. So next time I will buffer the medium before transplanting.
So far Week 4 has been fast! Buds are stacking higher, plumper, and sticky! So far the smell is pleasant sweet earthy spice with a subtle skunk. I do have a AC Infinity 4” inline w/ filter and does a great job filtering the smell and very quiet. I barely can notice any smell until I open that tent. Anyways very pleasant grow so far, it just seems she produces ALOT of leaves! I haves to always constantly defoliate to keep these colas free flowing and exposed. Onward to Week 5!
Week 5 Flower- So far everything looks good! So far I am cruising from here. I haven’t changed anything as far as nutes and environment. I do flush with cal magic and FloraNectar after every two feedings. So far she is loving it, showing no signs of deficiencies or toxicity.
Week 6 has been smooth rolling! The pistil hairs are starting to change colors I would say 20% brown, and the trichomes are as well starting to get amber in color. The bud size are also continuously swelling up day by day.
Update: nearing end of week 6 and she is starting to yellow up. I gave her the last feed before I will start flushing til harvest. She looks like she will be ready in about a week or more. Trichomes are starting to get slightly amber and buds are just oozing with sweet goodness! I will start flushing in about 2 days from now with straight non ph dechlorinated tap water.
Nearing the end of week 7 of flower and she is getting so big the that the weight is dragging the main stem off the medium! I probably should of use a Scrog net but I kinda slack off training during those times of growth. Anyways at the end of Week 7, I decided to start flushing her out. I just used non ph dechlorinated water to flush the medium til runoff ppm were low and I’ll be doing that until she is ready to harvest in hopefully in another week or 2. I also staked the main stalk to induce stress and try to get the last little bit of that sticky goodness!
It’s the end of week 8 and she seems ready for harvest. I love the colors she’s producing and for being compact she is packing some serious weight. So much I had to anchor the main stem up! This is going to be a big harvest! Not bad for 14 weeks of growing fun! I’m stoked to see how much she will shell out. I’ll start the harvesting and drying process to see how much she is putting out.
I have just trimmed and Harvested these beauty and she had some pretty decent yield! I will post the Harvest page and review as soon as I get a confirmed dry weight and smoke quality test!
This grow went pretty smooth with no complaints. The only thing is that the bud to leaf ratio was pretty high, but I don't know if that was on my part or a particular phenotype. Other than that I got a pretty decent yield for one plant in a short time. This is by far my largest yield in terms of 1 plant grow. I honestly probably could of doubled my yields if I had grown 2 in the same tent with the same number of lights. I would have easily gotten 1 gram/watt and probably could have over a pound in a 2x4 grow tent. Anyways my buds are still curing so I won’t have a smoke test til at least 2 more weeks. Ill update this page when that time comes!
This grow has been pretty smooth! There was a few problems, mostly from grower mistakes during at veg, but the end results were amazing! I have yielded about over 10 oz on one plant using mainlining and probably took up a 2x2 space. If i had two of these in my 2x4 tent i would of probably gotten over a pound using the same equipment. Anyways I have already started a new grow and hopefully I will get the same results. I can’t wait to share my smoke experience after these cure a little while!
Update: i couldn’t wait so I did ripped a small bowl. It does have a sweet piney aromatics. I believe it’s 50/50 mind and body. I felt uplifted and relaxed and the CBD did tone the THC effects by a bit but my body does feel relaxed. I will update more once I do so more smoking. So far no complaints, we will see after a couple of weeks of curing will do.
@MrJones, I added them, they are AC Infinity quiet fans to keep the lights cool. I used an infrared therm and without the fan it gets about 140F with fans its mostly in the 90'sF. its probably not neccesary, but I feel it would make my lights last a while til I find the next best thing.
@MrJones, I saw this in trick with one of the growers so I gave it a try. I don't know if it helped with increasing trichome production because I had only one plant at that time so can't compare and contrast, but I will probably give it another try when I grow more trees!
@@CloneKingz, Thanks, It’s a little too early to tell, as I only did two feedings with Recharge. But I definitely will keep updating as I grow along. So far everything looks the same, growth wise. The only thing I notice is, it did transplant very well with no indication of slow down in growth when getting acclimated to the new medium. This is my first time using Recharge as well as an all LED grow, so I can’t wait to see what the future brings.
