Started my first grow about 3 weeks ago. Had some issues with seeds, so had to regerminate 4 of the 5 pots. The bigger is white widow auto that I just started some LST with. Feeding calmag since I’m buying bottled water due to water sourcing issues. Any advice or input would be great.
Week 4 for the big girl (white widow) and week 3 for the other four plants (3 white widow and 1 Girl Scout cookies). Have been doing regular LST. Seem to be doing well, but then again my first grow so not much experience to base it on lol.
Week 5 and looks like we’ve entered flower. Have been feeding recharge every week or so, big bloom just started every other watering and calmag every watering. Switched to 24 hour light a couple of weeks ago. Would love any feedback on the progress.
As this is my first grow, I’m just curious if I’m doing something wrong. These are both the same strain but aren’t growing the same. Why do they look so different? The plant in the second pic didn’t have any LST, the other did. Am I screwing something up?
Well, after considering my options and even though I’m growing in super soil decided to try to flush. However, as I was doing this, I realized that I may have been under watering creating my issues. I did some minimal flushing on one plant to test the runoff PH. The PH was about 6.0. Which only further led me to believe that I’ve been under watering. I didnt realize how dry the pots were after watering just yesterday and I’ve been going 2-3 days between waterings. So instead of flushing, I gave a good soaking watering (nothing added). In just a few hours, their appearance has drastically improved. I’m hoping this solve the problem and doesn’t totally screw my harvest.
We are between week 5 and 6 for the girls. I was having some issues that some thought might be nute lockout. Even though I’m using all organic and super soil, I decided to try to flush one of the plants. I did enough to test PH and it was spot on. I also noticed how dry the soil really was. Which led me to believe the issue was from under watering. I was trying to avoid the noob mistake of overwatering and ended up with the opposite I think. I gave them a good shower of plain water with no nutes. I noticed a drastic improvement in just a few hours and they seem to have continued to improve. I’m hoping that my error doesn’t totally screw up the yield, but time will tell.
Week 6/7 and they seem to have responded well over the past week. Definitely appears that under watering was causing most of the issues I was concerned about. Buds seem to be fattening up nicely! I fed some recharge, calmag and Big Bloom as well over the past week.
4 of the plants seem to be doing really well. Buds are fattening up and getting sticky 😊. There is one plant that has shown some signs of issues, but I wanted to see how it would respond to give me better insight on future grows. Lots of colas on the plants. Really hoping the yield is nice. Would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions/ feedback. Happy Growing!!
A little late on posting week 9. The girls seem to be doing well. I’m thinking harvest will be in about 2 weeks. Lots of trichomes on the buds. Buds are fattening up nicely. Multiple colas on each plant.
We are onto week 11.
Colas are looking nice. One plant went on a drinking spree, and I didn’t notice until the leaves started yellowing. However, I’ve boosted its water intake and it’s resolving rather quickly. Only some slight yellowing of the leaves. I thought harvest might be next week, but I’ve been seeing new white pistils still popping out, so I’m thinking maybe another 2 weeks?
Wow beautiful! They're at 12 weeks, I'd say they look more than ready to get a couple strong waterings of plain ph'd water to flush out any of that big bloom and tiger and calmag and you're ready to chop. Even with the few white pistils still it's ok...they don't always all change colors and sometimes you don't want them to. There's a fine line between ready and past the optimum harvest time.

I didn’t weight it wet because trimming took longer than expected and it was 4am when I finished so I went to bed lol. My trimming needs improvement, but I’m sure that will come with practice. This was fun to grow and I’m hoping that the taste was worth it all. Will let these dry for a bit and then will start the next grow. I will update the smoke and weight once I jar it.

I’m using super soil and just recently started using nutes other than cal/mag. The differences in the 2 plants have been present for a couple of weeks.
