Holy growth! All these ladies grew exponentially since my last entry. I even left them for a weekend without any issues. This week I decided to start on my second round of nutrients by including Fox Farm Grow Big. I also added an Exhale Co2 bag for additional growth support. Will have an update next week. I think I may have come up with a solution. I think it may be wind burn. My fans were a tad too strong and pointed directly at them. I've since adjusted them and I'll allow a couple days for them to re acclimate. Haven't gone too crazy with nutes and I'm watering just about every other day when the pots feel light. I JUST transplanted into 7 gal pots yesterday so I'm avoiding feeding any nutes until they settle into their new homes. Thank you for your answers!

This week was a tough one. Had to diagnose a few issues with my setup as well as plants. Had a power outage for about 4 hours but luckily I had an LED lantern which allowed me to trick the plants to thinking it was still day time. No issues to report from the outage. I transplanted into 7 gal buckets and luckily they all recovered pretty quickly. I decided to stick with FF Ocean with some added perlite (1:3) and dolemite lime (1 cup per cubic foot). Had a hiccup with the Chemdawg roots when transplanting. It was droopy for about a day or so then moderately sprung back up. It's still showing new growth and no discoloration on the leaves. After they recovered from the transplants, I decided to start the mainline since each plant was just about on its fifth node. They all got snipped at the third node and I removed some moderate growth from the bottom leaves. I decided to keep the 4 big main leaves intact to help promote growth to the new mains. I'll plan on topping again in another week or so depending on how fast the new nodes grow. Upped my nutes slightly this week since they're starting to become a little resilient. Probably won't adjust much more until the flip. Thanks for reading!

This week revolved around getting the mainline nice and tidy. In doing that, I had my first casualty. I managed to snap a stem in the process of tying it down. I taped it up and have my fingers crossed to hope it'll mend. Only time will tell. I switched from 18hr of light to 24 in the hopes that it'll help the healing process. If it's too stressful for the girls, I'll switch back to 18. I'm planning on topping one last time before the flip. I'm sure this will set me back a little but slow and steady, slow and steady. This week, I continued to top and trim to form 8 colas per plant. I may top one last time before switching to flower. I want to fill the space as much as possible. Unfortunately, I lost a limb on the amnesia from the break last week. With that said, she's still growing very strong and is really outgrowing the other two strains. I may be in trouble come flower as she's taking up the most space in the tent. This week I also installed my scrog net. I think it may be a bit big so let me know what you think in the comments. This week I finally started filling the scrog net. I was planning to flip to flower next week but I may give it a little more time to fill out. I've been poking and prodding these things since I started so I'm just gonna give them a week or two to grow. After that, I'll switch to 12/12.

This week I focused on getting my scrog net filled. In doing so I told myself I'd let it get about 60% full then I'd switch to flower. Today is the first day of 12/12 and I did some slight defoliation to prepare for the stretch and help get some light to the lower areas. I'll continue to keep defoliating for the next few weeks so the buried tops have a fighting chance. I may have to switch up my extractor fan since it isn't pulling out as much humidity and heat as I'd like. No buds are forming yet so I'll have a few weeks to mull this over as it gets colder outside and in turn colder inside. As usual the Amnesia is fast outgrowing the other two strains even with one less main limb. Boy is she really fast. The chemdawg is spreading out nicely as well, all of the main tops are nice and even. The white widow on the other hand is growing to the beat of its own drum. There's no rhyme or reason to which tops grow at what pace. It seems to me like one side of the plant is growing much faster than the other. I'm curious to see what it'll do post stretch. This week I started seeing considerable growth mainly due to the stretch. I modified my nutes a bit to ease them into flower. The Amnesia is growing as expected..... FAST!!!! Chemdawg is also showing some great progress and filling out quite nicely. That leaves the white widow..... Long story short, she's smushed between the other two behemoths and is fighting to keep up. With that said, she's still growing and I'll plan on carrying her to term. Thanks for viewing!

Lets talk about the white widow for a bit. (middle plant in the picture) I want to know why it isn't growing as fast (if fast is even the right term) as the others. The stock is by far the thickest of the three, but the growth up top is scarce. What gives!?!?!?!

Hey there Heisenbud, so growth rate is determined by genetics and Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD). Genetics is genetics , maybe you got a phenotype that's just like that, nothing you can do about that. The other thing is something more controllable. So basically even within a grow box there are micro climates, it's not as even as we think it is, which i did find surprising when i started to measure it . Vapor Pressure deficit is the relationship between humidity and temperature , so it's affected by the micro climate based on your temperature and humidity you're not in the optimal range, you should be around 25°C for that humidity ... seems like a small change, but clearly over time it does matter. Learn more about VPD here : http://pulsegrow.com/vpd Hope this helps ! 🚀

They're budding!!!! I'm pretty sure the stretch has stopped since they haven't grown much in height in the last couple days. I did start getting some buds and I'm already stoked at their progress. It seems the chemdawg is giving the amnesia a run for it's money. When she hit flower she took off! While old lumpy WW in the middle is just doing her thing. I feel she's way too smushed so I'll try to elevate her so she can get a bit more light. She'll definitely be the last to be harvested. One issue I've been having is humidity during dark periods. At times it would peak to 80%!! I'm confident that my exhaust fan isn't sufficient for the space. If it doesn't get better in a week or so when it cools down outside, I'll probably look into getting a bigger fan. Not to mention I have 2 dehumidifiers in the space and they don't seem to be making a dent in the RH. With that said, I've been keeping the airflow going both above and below the canopy to ensure things stay dry. Haven't seen any moisture buildup. Will continue to monitor. Suggestions are always appreciated in the comments! Thanks for viewing!

My humidity is still spiking during the dark period. Going from about 60% to 85%. I have 2 dehumidifiers in the tent connected to a controller and they don't seem to be putting a dent in the RH. Is there a better way to go about managing the humidity during dark periods? Thanks!

Hey! Just checked out your photos.. those little dehumidifiers don't do jack! I've had up to three in the tent and nothing.. I suggest you get rid of those, sell them, give them away whatever.. and buy yourself a decent dehumidifier that can get the job done with just one, look for a bigger with more capacity and watts. Other things you can do to control humidity is increase ventilation. That being adding more fans, stronger intake or extraction also helps. Don't water too much, don't leave water in the trays.. make sure there's the least trace of water behind as possible. Hope this helped. Good luck and happy growing!

This week I gave the girls a much needed defoliation. The bottom sites were completely blacked out and they quickly recovered from the trim. I also decided to get rid of the two small dehumidifiers and purchased one big one to combat my humidity problem. This combined with a new 6 inch extractor fan, my humidity levels are finally under control. Looking forward to seeing the buds fatten up as I approach the home stretch! Thanks for viewing!

These plants are so happy. They're fattening up nicely and even the white widow decided to show up to the party! My main concern going forward is planning the harvest. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage the 36hr darkness when I'm certain I'll have to harvest on separate days. I may get another smaller tent to transfer them to when they're ready. After the cut, I can use the same tent to dry. As always, feel free to leave suggestions in the comments and thanks for viewing!

Coming into the home stretch! I estimate about 2 more weeks for the amnesia, 3.5 weeks on the chemdawg and 4 weeks for the WW. Trichs are still clear so I'm still on nutes. I plan on switching to just water when about 50% are cloudy. They're thickening up but not as much as I'd like them to. Hopefully they'll get fat within the coming weeks. Thanks for viewing!

My trichomes are about 80% cloudy so I think I'll slow down the nutrients to prepare for the flush in the next couple days. Overall these plants have all been a treat. The white widow has really pulled through from behind and the amnesia is still the obvious frontrunner. Chemdawg is simply that low and slow type of plant. Do you booboo. Thanks for viewing!

The last week...... I can't believe these girls have come this far. They've been flushing for a week, and I'm planning on harvesting this Friday pending trichomes are well and good. I had a bit of a conundrum with the Amnesia last week as the amber triches are spreading rapidly. I'm most likely being paranoid and I'm glad I'm going to be able to harvest all three at once. The white widow has gotten thic in her old age and I'm truly shocked at how much she's spread her leaves, pun intended. Chemdawg is old reliable, not the biggest producer but never fussy. I'm not in the business of counting chickens so I'm not going to try and guess any sort of weight. Fingers crossed for a smooth harvest!!!! Thanks for viewing!
