It's now day #29 heading into week 5.
I have a few tiny holes in the leaves but I think it's due to the big fan being on too long and some wierd genetics due to one of the plants coming back from the dead early on, no signs of bugs or pests that I can see.
I will add a questions with some pics again this week.
I've been adding 0.5ml of calmag every other feeding and just over a litre with grow and bloom ever 30 or so hours with a bit in the bottom drip tray the pot with two plants is definitely drinking it up much quicker.
The solo I think kind of self LST itself because the thermometer fell on it early on and squashed it and it stayed short and bushy.
Still really loving the grow I'm letting the water soak right up a bit more than I was before but still not sure if the bottom of the pots it's dry or not but they seem healthy enough.
Also not sure about defoliation I will ask a few questions with pics but in just leaving it for now, not sure if I should take the fans and small leaves off underneath that aren't getting light and maybe some big fans near top but I don't want to stunt the growth
It's my first Grow, going into week 3 should I go above 0.5ltr per pot?
I want to try lst, I only have pipe cleaners and I don't think they are quite big enough for me to try lst yet should I wait a couple more days or just go for it?
Wait few days for LST. Need to get some height before tying her down.
Watering shouldn't need more than .5 liter right now but when she gets 1-2 ft tall will want to increase it.
I've been running the light 24hours and then turning it down with the dimer while I sleep because I'm worried about temps
Would I be better changing over to 20/4 or 18/6 or should I wait til it goes into flower?
Sorry I'm a complete noob
A couple of things. First stick to a light schedule, fooling around with it can stress the plant and in worst cases, turn the plant hermaphrodite. Second, I have used 18/6, 20/4 and 24/0; they all yielded the same, I only use the 20/4 or 24/0 in winter to keep the grow space warm
I'm just about to head into weak 4 up until now ive just been using tap water through filter.
I just purchased biobizz grow, bloom and calmag
Should I start using a little grow while watering?
When you should start feeding depends on what kind of soil you are using and how much. A big enough pot can last a lot of time before needing additional nutrients. Let the plant feed itself from the soil and only start feeding once you see the first signs of deficiency. Your plants look healthy as they are, they do not need feeding. Foe example when using a 3 gallon (11 liter) pots with allmix, the soil would last until week 7 or 8 before needing any feeding.
I tried lst on the tallest one, I felt a rip maybe roots? Anchored and bent a little. Gorilla I tied a few branches down to let some light underneath was it worth? Good experience none the less. I also have couple questions in week 4 comment. Really loving my first Grow so far :)
You did a great job training, but remember there will always be a recovery time. You have autos, so if you train too late into veg, you may have weird buds during flower. You did good, but 4 weeks in, I wouldnt train much more. You're due to start flowering within a week or two.
I haven't done any defoliation, should I be?
It's now day #21-23 from soil are they doing ok?
Is it ok to leave that big fan on at the bottom most of the day? I have been putting it outside and dimming the light to 25% when I sleep leaving front flap open
I'm really enjoying
I would think about removing those two giant fan leaves on top but that's all. I might even wait another 5 days or so before I do that so the leaves can feed the plant energy.
Is this the start of flowering? Can't tell if that's pistils or not.
I feel like they are quite short and under developed after looking at some other comparisons are they doing ok for my first Grow?
This now day 25
I notice some leaf curling and also have some holes. Is it an issue? I raised the lights up a little as they were down below 20" i want to some defoliation but not sure where to start or if getting rid of big fan leaves and small leaves at the bottom will stunt growth
Day #31
I took big fans leaves off from the bottom that weren't getting any or much light and some near the top covering some bud sights.
I will start using fish mix & topmax when they arrive.
What distance should I have the light from canopy and when should defoliate again?
Hard to say, since every light is different. A good rule of thumb is 12 inches (30 cm) away. As for defoliating, once it starts get overcrowded with leaves you can start thinking to take a few leaves again.
Leaves curling in one plant is worse than others.
Just noticed the leaves are curling worse on one plant, I think it's the one that had wierd genetics due to coming back from the dead early on
The soil was quite dry before watering today
How often should I be misting the plant
Day 37
I've been trying to defoliate but not sure exactly how much to take off.
I've just been taking big fans that get no light underneath or the ones covering bud sites.
I have a grownet is it too late to try and use it?
The two in one pot are taking up a lot of room now
Plant looks super healthy and that foliage looks super dense. A little bit of defoliation just to expose lower bud sites could help improve yields, but since you're already in flower, I'd try to keep it minimal or you're going to stress your plant out too much and actually end up with lower yields than if you didn't defoliate at all
I'm concerned about one of the plants
The pictures don't really show it wel but im seeing red tips on the leaves (I think) and a lot less pistils compared to the other two plants (the last two pics for comparison)
Im pretty sure it's the one that had genetic problems early on
One of my girls seems to be still growing branches and in pre flower?
Just noticed guy answered my last question to check ph but it's in the same pot as the other one that's budding nicely.
I'm pretty sure it's just wierd genetics because it came back from the dead but any ideas?
All weed plants stretch during the first several weeks of flowering. She will stop growing and stretching. Once the stretch I'd done she will focus on bud production then.
I think they might be revegetating should I maybe reduce the light from 24 hours to 20?
I notice there is a lot more smaller growth underneath on all 3
I was dimming the light while I slept but the last week or so I've been leaving it on full blast I was worried about temps.
It's an autoflower, so unless it is defective you should not have to worry about re-vege. Light does not control this phase-shift for autoflowers.
re-vege will cause new leaves and stems to grow. It'll get taller and the new leaves it grows will look so drastically different, you will certainly notice them. They come out 3-lobed and rounded with no serration type stuff... look weird in a noticeable way.
I feel like this one is getting out of control I think bad gene from problem early and slow flowering?
Any suggestions of what I can do?
I want to wait and see how it turns out even if whispy bud but not if it's going to be at a detriment to the others they are smelling lovely
Hi!
It looks like you have enough room for her and I feel like shes just longer flowering pheno.
My suggestion is to let her take her time in flowering and see how she produces.
She might even be much bigger yield wise
I feel like it's starting to flower now?
I raised the single up and it seems to be loving it
Any guesses on the strains? Unfortunately I got them mixed up a mistake that won't happen again. The purple looks and smells amazing I think it's one of the cookies?
Hi Hectic, nice stigmas so we can assume that your girl is started to flower maybe 10 days/1 week ago and is doing very well. I guess she's a gorilla, very often gorilla's strains show a dominant sativa traits, like Ur girl. 👊
Noticed these marks on the leaves of the plant I've had problems with.
Any ideas what they could be?
The other two are smelly amazing and the single plant is so sticky! I think it might be the cheesecake but I'm really not sure, I won't make the mistake of mixing them up again
I don't see any blue shade on the leaf, so i'd lean Ca or Mg deficiency. if there's no interveinal chlorosis, i'd lean Ca-def.
But, those are symptoms and not necessarily the cause. Do the math on your PPMs of what you feed - guaranteed analysis labels can be trusted. If you find that you provide plenty of each, it's more likely lockout and you need to investigate further to avoid the problem in future.
How are my girls coming along?
Do the smaller purple buds underneath need to be getting more light or will they fatten up?
It really smells amazing I haven't smelled anything like it before tbh I can't wait to sample in a few weeks :)
Some growers harvest in stages, which I've done myself if I don't think the lower buds are ready when the upper ones are.
- Basically, you just harvest the top, and let the lower part be until you're satisfied with it.
It's the start of week 9 today, anyone got rough idea how many weeks left til harvest for the purple and solo? The sativa dominant one is flowering up now I feel like there is a while to go on that one. I'm getting some marks on leaves and yellowing on the bottom two in same pot.
Heya!
Kind of hard to tell by the picture but, if you judge by the pistils usually 70-90% ambered is a good time to harvest. The best way is to use a small microscope or jewelers loupe to have a glance at the trichromes. Most people harvest when all the trichromes are milky to 30% amber. If you harvest with more milky trichs it will produce more of a head high effect, where as more amber trichromes will give you the couch lock effect.
I would suggest looking at the trichs if you can, I have had plants ready to harvest with lots of white pistils left still and some where they were all brown. Still looks like a couple weeks imo
Cheers and good luck!
Looks like mostly milky on the top bud maybe another week or two left?
Should I let the soil dry out before harvesting and it's not possible for me to keep them in dark as I will ned the tent for the taller plant stil has long way to go
Is it possible for me to take a tester?
Give them more Time and the buds will fatten up more. Buds need time to mature
And give them food, forget flushing... its amodern myth

your girls look like they want more Time ,If you are impatient, get a tester,,, the plant dont care ( just say thank you to her)
greetings
@Canna96,
Thanks man! I'm really proud for my first Grow and really enjoying it.
I haven't done any defoliating yet but I feel like it's about time to.
Had a look at your grow very nice man!
@Ferenc,
Thanks! It's my first indoor and I'm really impressed how well it's gone so far, I already can't wait to start the next one after what I've learned this time 🙂
Can't wait to sample these girls too, I'm concerned about how I'm going to dry as I wil need to keep one of them in the tent, I was thinking of trying two different ways in cardboard box with maybe a dehumidifier in room but I'm not sure yet. Might take a tester bud or one of the tops off and see how that dries Inna week or two

@@Athos, thanks man, I had it around 18 or 19 but I've now moved it down to around 13inches and will see how they do. Should just keep an eye on it and keep moving it up as they grow taller? Will they grow much taller?
Very nice looking setup and grow! She looks happy and healthy, great work!! As far as defoliating, I really defoliated my girls, and they loved it! It actually improved airflow, and lowered the humidity as well. Good luck bro!
