The fabulous five got some shaping during this week’s stretch from defoliation/lollipopping and LST using the trellis for best light exposure throughout. The net will probably come down mid week having served its purpose. Tent conditions seem adequate with temp at 26 or so and humidity lower 50s. I’m not sure I’ll be able to grow in the basement over the winter without some heating support.
The (new) Mars TS3000 light distance seems best at 40-42cm to ensure they all get good exposure. If I had less plants I would perhaps bring it a couple cms closer. I noted an odd discoloration on one of the higher leaves so maybe not either. I’ll stick to 40cms from highest tips.
Early flower nutrients—GHE trio—once per week. As pots are small, they need pH adjusted watering 2-3 times between nutrients. They seem to be handling the dose well.
Open question on letting small branches low in the plant mature or cut them down now to focus on main colas. I’m concerned about stressing these autos too much. The early topping and trellis use seems to have given a pretty even horizontal spread but from here TLC only.
As to the difference in growth between the Blue Dream and Gorilla Cookies, there’s surprisingly little. The BDs are noticeably bushier and GCs, stalkier as you might see in the pictures.
I’m impressed how all of the seeds germinated and the five are holding up nicely.
I’m eager to see how they develop over the third week of flowering, quite determinate as we know. Thank you for stopping by!
Hi experts. Use of space - new tent (4′x4′) under 450W and germinated 13 auto seeds, my lucky 13, in 11L pots. New to autos. Now looking at it, i think it’s going to get too crowded in there. I can scrog to keep some control. Should I keep all 13? Thanks, experts!
I have 3 autos in my 4x4 and there's no space. You'll have a full canopy already so there's nothing to scrog really. I would just lollipop, hard. You're gonna end up with more of a sog canopy. With photos, you could've just flipped when they were all 5", but in this case they'll bloom whenever they want.
Personally, I would cut it down to 9 plants at the most. It'll save you a lot of headaches and you're still going to get the same yield in the end. Best of luck my friend!!
Brother.
These fast Buds are done by week 10 or 11 the most. 13 weeks is way to long.
These are autos not photos.
I made that mistake my first fastbuds grow.
10 weeks from seed and done
@SickBoyOG420, hello brother. This is really critical info. For all my reading could it be that these are on the way to finishing up?
Thanks a ton. Looking into their state of flowering now. You get a follow. Happy growing!!!
Great looking grow my friend! I had the exact same issue with my gorilla cookies. The leaves all turned yellow VERY early. But, I still managed to push her to the ripening stage although I was very nervous with next to no fan leaves left. Still, the buds ended up green and smelled fanfuckingtastic!
@ChuckShady,same for me in the end. I think it’s about fertilizing too early. They don’t really need anything in early weeks. Glad you got great results too!!
hmmm you are doing ph water between feeds? i've been feeding every time which is every other day. I had amazing sucess with this last grow but its interesting to see you are doing it only once a week!
@MrHightimes,thanks. I really question whether nutrients are needed in the first three weeks. The soil is already hot. But yours are doing more than fine!
Nice Journal! Having just got through a similar grow that yellowed early and stressed me out only to come out ok was fun to read! Was also fun to see your grow b/c I have GCs growing now!!!! I did a 1gal grow and while it was a nice yeild seeing how much more i got off 2 gals, I'm now trying 3gal! Will you be growing in bigger pots next?
@MrHightimes,thanks a ton. Just saw your grow and it’s looking great. I get the impression that 3 gals is ideal. I’m trying some photosensitive Blue Dream now in a 5 gallon with some more autoflower seeds on the way from Fastbuds.
@Fast_Buds, so far so good! Looking pretty damn big for 3 weeks! Curious to know when they’ll kick into flower, guessing another week from reading online.
Great start👍
I use solo cups as well , but I use two, cut the bottom off one cup
and make a cut from top to bottom of the same cup, then put the cup with the slice and no bottom into
a untouched cup and fill with soil. When the time comes to transplant, remove outer cup, place inner cup in the hole of your bigger container
and remove, the plant doesn't even know it was transplanted.
Hope this helps👊
Grow Big!!
YAY! I'm so happy you are doing these with GH, it was nice to compare your charts to mine. I'm growing my first time in ammended soil and am trying to gauge when and how much to kick off my 3part GH! Good work Bro!!!!!
