Hello growers! This time we are growing T.H.Seeds version of Platinum Cookies they call French Cookies. This grow will be a couple of firsts for me. This is my first run of a strain from T.H.Seeds and I have tried a few cookies crosses but never the Platinum Cookies. It looked like it should be a beautiful plant and I hope it lives up to the platinum name! I look forward to having you with me as we watch her grow and develop! The deets: Packaging: Was a pain to open, but seems secure enough. The packaging could definitely be more visually appealing. There are 21 plants in the veg tent, right now. 17 photoperiod seedlings, 3 autoflower seedlings, and an auto in mid bloom. Started in Jiffy peat pellets with Roots Organics 707 filling the Solo style plastic cups under and around the peat pellets. The soil was top dressed with .25 tsp of each: Azos, Mycos, and Re-Charge. Let's go microbes! Thanks for stopping in and checking out my diary! Peace, love, and frosty nugs! ☮️💚❄️🌲

8/16 update: Welcome back to my garden! Thanks for following me on this journey! It has been 8 days since sowing this French Cookies seed and we now have a happy healthy sprout! She was one of the last to sprout, but she is looking good. There are no indications of stress or deformaties. Feeding with .2 ml/gal of RapidStart and .2 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.5. After adjusting pH add .25 tsp of recharge. Thanks for stopping in and if you get a chance, check out a few of my other diaries and give me a follow. Happy growin', happy harvestin', and happy tokin'! Peace, ☮️ Love, 💚 and Frosty Nugs! ❄️🌲 - Fo' Twenny

8/26 update: Welcome back to my garden! Thanks for following me and this little French Cookie! It has been 18 days since sowing this French Cookie girl bred by T.H.Seeds. She was one of the last to sprout, but is now growing rather vigorously. She is a nice shade of green and is growing with short internodal spacing. Feeding with .5ml/gal of Blue planet Gold Shield Potassium Silicate, .5 ml/gal of RapidStart and .5 ml/gal of SuperThrive, Adjusted pH to 6.2. After adjusting pH I added 1 tsp of recharge. Thanks for stopping in and if you get a chance, check out a few of my other diaries and give me a follow. Happy growin', happy harvestin', and happy tokin'! Fo' Twenny here with an update on the our French Cookies from T.H.Seeds! 9/5: She has been growing steadily. She is healthy and green. Today, I transplanted from the 16oz solo cup into a one gallon Active Aqua 6" x 6" Square Pot, 8" Tall. I innocculate at the root zone using .5 tsp Mycos from Extreme Gardening .5 tsp Recharge. I sprinkled some White Dutch Clover seed around the top of the pot for a cover crop. BAD NEWS: Half of the blue diodes have gone out in the TMLAPY light. This light was actually gifted to me shortly after a friend purchased it from Amazon and realized it was too small for their space. It seemed to be serving it's purpose well for vegging photos and running bumper crops of autoflowers but it failed only four months after the warranty period ended! Weak-Sauce! Welp, looks like it's time to upgrade the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light. RHIZOSPHERE: .25 tsp/gal Blue Planet Gold Shield Silica Supplement .25 tsp/gal Fox Farm Gringo Rasta Cal-Mag 1.5 tsp/gal BigBloom .25 tsp/gal Boomerang .125 tsp/gal Wholly Mackerel PPM: 749 pH: 6.4 1 tsp/gal Southern AG Garden Friendly Fungicide compare to Hydroguard 2 TBSP/gal Serenade Thanks for stopping by my garden! Fo' Twenny here with an update on our French Cookies from T.H.Seeds! 9/7 - She is looking healthy and didn't seem to be stressed by transplanting. So, today, I topped and defoliated. Fo' Twenny here with another update on our little French Cookies lady bred by T.H.Seeds! Want to see all the strains I have running? I am running a 16 strain photoperiod SOG with 2 wildcards added in the event that either of the two regular seeds end up being males. Check out all of my diaries for more! Any constructive criticisms are always welcome. 9/13 - Premixed soil to prepare for upcoming transplanting. SOIL MIX DETAILS Mixed into a 50 gallon container that will be kept in a warm environment to help innocculate to promote a vast and diverse microbial life in the rhizosphere. 2 Part - Royal Gold Tupur INGREDIENTS: Coco fiber, aged forest materials, perlite, and basalt 1 Part - Fox Farms Ocean Forest INGREDIENTS: Aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss, earthworm castings, bat guano, fish emulsion, and crab meal. 1 Part - Roots Organics INGREDIENTS: Perlite, Coco Fiber, Peat Moss, Composted Forest Material, Pumice, Worm Castings, Bat Guano, Soybean Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Fishbone Meal, Kelp Meal, and Greensand. Also contains beneficial mycorrhizal fungi: Funneliformis mosseae, Rhizophagus intraradices, Septoglomus desertícola .5 Part - Wiggle Worm Soil Builder Pure Earthworm Castings .5 Part - Ancient Forest Humus .5 Part - Coarse Grade Perlite Inocculated by mixing 1 cup of Extreme Gardening Mycos Watered with pH 6.5 h2O 1 Tsp/gal Real Grower's Recharge 1 tsp/gal Hi-Brix Molasses 2 tsp/gal Fox Farms Kangaroots 9/16 - Day 38: This cultivar is looking really good! I did notice some white blotches on a few leaves as well as several other plants in the garden. I'm not sure if it's just water spots from my helper's carelessly watering causing water spots from the Nutrient solution or the start of a PM infection. Never really dealt with PM, but decided to spray them with some serenade. I also sprinkled with a little more White Dutch Clover seed on top soil. 9/17 - Day 39: Installed 320w GeekLight MonsterBoards V4 GOOD NEWS: I upgraded the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light. $306 USD after all is said and done. It took 9 calendar days to ship from China. https://app.alibaba.com/dynamiclink?touchId=1600101815945&type=product&schema=enalibaba%3A%2F%2Fdetail%3Fid%3D1600101815945%26ck%3Dshare_detail&ck=share_detail&shareScene=buyer NUTRITION: ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ Foliar Feed & Nutrient Solution 2 gal tap H2O run through x2 KDF filters Start ppm 630 Start ph 7.8 . 2.5 ml/gal Gold Shield Silica Supplement .5 tsp/gal Fox Farm Gringo Rasta Cal-Mag pH @ 8.1 .33 tsp/gal ph down pH: 6.5 PPM: 730 Serenade 3 tsp/gal (Always adjust pH prior to adding any microbial innocclants) Filled Spray bottle with 32 oz of the 2 gal mixed solution. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Sept. 28 - Oct. 4 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ I want to welcome you all back to another update on our French Cookies 🇫🇷🍪 cultivar bred by T.H.Seeds! If you're just joining us, we have had this 60% Sativa & 40% Indica photo-dependant hybrid cultivar vegging SOG style in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent with 20 other plants for several weeks now. She has been one of the slower growing cultivars in the tent but she is starting to pick up some monentum now. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past few weeks in an effort to create a nice foundation to send into flower. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent moved a few of the other of her tent-mates into the 8'x4' bloom tent running a 12/12 schedule, but I decided to give this little lady just a bit more veg time! Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 9/30 - Day 52 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/1 - Day 53 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 🌿 EXTENDED VEGETATIVE CYCLE 🌿 - I have decideded to let her have an extended vegetative period for two reasons. First, I would like to see her get just a little taller. Second, I ran out of premixed medium. I have since mixed more medium, and will transplant in a week or so, depending on how she progresses. 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 👩‍💻 UPGRADE! 👩‍💻 - In the 96" x 48" bloom tent, I added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray. 🚿FEED DAY!🚿 She received approximately 12 oz of nutrient solution. I mixed12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have running in this SOG.12 oz of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar. 👩‍🔬NUTRIENT SOLUTION👩‍🔬 ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones. If you're just joining us, last week we decided to give this photo-dependant lady an extended veg period and kept her in the 48"x 24" VIVOSUN veg-tent. She has been growing steadily since. This week we transplanted and moved her to the 96" x 48" VIVOSUN flower tent under a 12/12 lighting schedule! Observation: Ever since I upgraded the AC and have been maintaining lower temps, I notice that don't have to water nearly as often. Used to be about every 3 - 4 days, and now, its closer to 5 - 6 days. The White Dutch Clover may also play a factor here. I do mist the top of the pots with 1-2 oz every day to every other day with plain water to keep the White Dutch Clover happy. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/6 - Day 58 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° ✂️🍃 Selective defoliation and lollipopping 🍃✂️ - I take inwards facing leaves at least 3 nodes below the top of the main growth shoots. I remove lower "suckers" to minimize larf. I have not perfected this. I worry sometimes I may be taking too much and sometimes worry I am not taking enough. I am getting closer and closer each run, but I do tend to be a bit on the conservative side. 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 🚿FEED DAY!🚿 She received approximately 64 oz of solution. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 10 - Oct. 16 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🌱🚿 SOWED - 8/9 🕛🌼 STARTED 12/12 CYCLE - 10/10 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with another update on our Indica/Sativa hybrid cultivar 🇫🇷🍪 FRENCH COOKIES bred by T.H.SEEDS! She is growing well with tight internodal spacing and she is very healthy. The breeder photos of this strain are stunning and I am hoping she gets some nice purples later in flower. She has been easy to grow thus far and haven't had any real problems with her. Stay tuned to see how she develops! STRATEGY: To keep our FRENCH COOKIES cultivar and her White Dutch Clover cover crop hydrated between feeds, every other day or so (as needed), she gets about 4 - 6 oz of plain filtered water pH adjusted between 6.2 and 6.6. This is sprayed evenly around the top of the medium using a 32 oz ZEP Professional sprayer. This has allowed me to minimize feeds to about one a week eliminating the need to mix my reservoir twice a week. Since she is mid stretch, I am keeping defoliation to a minimum, no more than 5-10% of the plants foliage in a week. I am only removing lower shoots that will only end up yielding larf as well as mature fan leaves (my definition of mature fan leaves: petioles of 1.5-2" and typically below the top three nodes of a growth shoot) that are facing inward towards the main stem. Next week will be focused more on those fan leaves that are excessively shading neighboring plants along with the lower leaves on any shoots left on the plant. Typically, the first 2-3 nodes of smaller growth shoots yield much smaller nugs. That said, on any remaining smaller growth shoots, I plan to remove those lower leaves and bud-sites early. This will also help with airflow and light penetration. I will not trim more than 25% of leaves per week. I actually stay closer to 15-20% per week or less while in flower, depending on the cultivar. I'm practicing some very light LST techniques. GENTLY bending stems to encourage even well-balanced growth intended to open the plants' center up for even light penetration and airflow. The goal is to evenly balance her growth within her 1'x1' footprint and avoid crowding herself or others. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 24 - Oct. 30 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👩‍🌾 SOWED: Aug. 9th 🕛 12/12 START : Oct.10th 🗓️ WEEK 4 of FLOWERING 🏁 ESTIMATED FINISH: Dec. 5th - Dec. 10th •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Back with another update on our Indica/Sativa hybrid cultivar 🇫🇷🍪 FRENCH COOKIES bred by T.H.SEEDS! I am trying a new format for the weekly summary portion of my diary. Let me know what ya'll think! 👃 AROMA: She smells sweet but not very distinct at this point. It's still early in flow, so her terpenes are really just starting to be noticeable. I am excited to experience the evolution of her terpene profile as she progresses through flower. One of my favorite aspects of growing cannabis is how much these plants change from start to finish and how much variation is possible with this plant. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: Her buds are just starting to form, but look like they will be very nice. She has bright white pistils shooting out from small clusters of calyxes. It's still early, but I think she already looks quite promising. 🎨 Color: She is a nice healthy deep shade of green that looks like will turn purple or red later when she begins to fade. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: She is growing extremely fast and, while currently not the tallest cultivar in the run, she is nine days behind the tallest; so, that may very well change. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I have continued selective defoliation as needed to avoid crowding herself and her neighbors. I remove no more than 25% of foliage at any one time, and usually closer 10-15%. I space out defoliation with a minimum of 3 days between sessions, in most instances. There will be exceptions to that, but it's a good rule of thumb I try to adhere to. She has been trained to have 6 main shoots and I am using LST techniques to gently bend her stems to evenly fill her space without overcrowding. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: She is probably one of the frostiest plants in the run. She has loads of resin glands even on some of the smaller fan leaves. She's definitely off to a good start! 🚿 WATER/FEED: I have continued with a light bidiurnal misting of White Dutch Clover cover crop . This, in conjunction with running lower temps (New AC), has seemed to have drastically increased feeding intervals. My plants are needing much less water than in previous runs. I typically give the whole SOG one feed per week with light watering of select individual cultivars as needed between feeds. I try my best to "read" my garden. The amount of water between feeds depends on how soon the next feed will be. I feed the garden as a whole and this run I have been generally spacing feeds out about 4-6 days when the the first plant shows beginning signs of wilt (slight droop of lower fan leaves). 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She doesnt appear to have any signs of stress, deficiency, or toxicity. she is absolutely stunning! Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/29 - Day 81/Day 20 of Bloom °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 🚿 FEED DAY 🚿 The cultivar received approximately 1 gallon of solution. @Treighfunky, Yes! I went with a 320w lm301h 3000k MonsterBoard set with switchable UV and IR. Should be a considerable upgrade from the blurples, I think. I veg and flower my autos in this little 4 foot by 2 foot tent and I think it should be able to handle that well enough! https://app.alibaba.com/dynamiclink?touchId=1600101815945&type=product&schema=enalibaba%3A%2F%2Fdetail%3Fid%3D1600101815945%26ck%3Dshare_detail&ck=share_detail&shareScene=buyer

So you just set the seed on top of the Jiffy peat pellets - do you cover them at all, I see that the pellets are just nestled in the may have to try this, been doing the paper towel method, :) as always good luck to you and may the Canna Gods shine down on you, yours and your farming!

@FoTwenny, lol - I agree the pictures were awesome, and thanks for taking time even with my silly questions.
FoTwenny
FoTwennycommented5 years ago
@MrJones, Good question, I do push them down about a quarter inch and cover them. In my opinion, it makes for better photos to show the seed rather than just the peat pellets. I was trying to be fancy! 😂😂😂

@FoTwenny, I ordered some Sage n Sour regular seeds. It's one of my favorite medicinal strains. I would love to cross it with my Purple Kush and my Grandaddy Purple some day for a great 50/50 medicinal strain. I always enjoyed THSeeds strains. I'm new to growing so it's all an exciting journey. As always happy growing cheers!!!!!

This is the strain I was most curious about when you started this! I’ve been wanting a gelato cross for a while and just haven’t swiped the card to buy one, but I think this will be it when the time comes.
