I was extremely happy to receive my new order of FastBuds seeds. For this grow I've chosen Californian Snow. I am a sucker for fruit flavors and apple is one that is quite elusive. I'm also excited to see if we can get her to have those beautiful snow capped mountain nugglets 😀 For week one I've included germination and a full week after sprout. This plant is off to a slow start but that's ok. We'll see how things shape up in the weeks to come. Much love to the community. 👍
This was a good week for this young lady. On Sunday the 12th we transplanted into a 3 gallon home. I also did one watering with Fox Farm's Big Bloom. Other than that I've been watering with plain water ph'd at 6.5
I'll continue this regiment into next week.
A bit of a slow week for this lady. I've given one feeding with Big Bloom and the rest have been ph balanced waterings at 6.0
I raised the plant up a touch to give it more light. We'll see how she responds.
Don't call it a comeback..... :) This week this lovely lady is alive and well. She hit a growth spurt and doubled in size in a week. She was leaning like the Tower of Pisa, so I added a piece of wood to give her support. I did one nute feeding with Fox Farm and the rest were waterings with my ph set at 6.5. I'll continue this regiment as long as she's responding well. 👍
Another outstanding week for this lady. She again doubled in size. This week I just watered with my ph at 6. We have begun this week to flower which is really exciting. I will continue this regiment into next week to see how things go. Loving where it's at so far. 👍
Another stellar week for this lady. She seems happy and right on track to FastBuds harvest calculations. I'm really glad the heatwave broke. It was really slowing everything down for three weeks. As this plant has been happy I continued to water ph'd at 6 for the week. This lady is thirsty. I am watering every 2 days without fail. Even though I'm giving plenty of water, She seems to just drink it right down. Looking forward to next week 😀
What a great weeks it's been. This plant may have started a bit slow, but since has really taken flight. Bud sites are developing nicely and the plant continues to drink like it never received water before ;)
I have continued just watering with my ph at 6. The Fox Farm Ocean mix soil is doing a nice job of keeping this lady happy and healthy. That makes my job easy ( and a little boring)
I'm just really happy to see her happy. I'll continue this regiment until she tells me otherwise. 😀
Another great week for this lady. We are now done with the stretch and all energy seems focused on bud development. I cannot believe where this plant is now from where she started. I am very impressed with these FastBud genetics. I watered all week with plain water ph'd at 6. On Sunday I did add blackstrap molasses to the mix. I also did some heavy defoliation on Sunday to allow maximum light and energy going to the buds. As of this morning she seems to have continued growth as if nothing happened. I'll continue this regiment into next week. A big thank you to everyone that week after week give some love and support. I appreciate this community very much and am thankful to be a part of it. 👍
It was another great week for Cali. She continues to pack it on at the bud sites and is giving off a very sweet fruity aroma now. I cannot wait to see how this one develops. I also received my new Spider SF-4000 light today. My plants were so happy I swore one of them gave me a high 5 😉
Other than that I've continued alternating between plain waterings and watering with blackstrap molasses. I also added Flora Bloom on the third feeding of the week.
I'm looking forward to see how this new light spruces things up. I'll keep updating. Have a great week everyone.
I can't believe what a difference this light made. My plants have never been happier. It was a great and productive week. As mentioned the Spider Farmer SF-4000 was worth the wait and purchase. I also alternated waterings between plain water ph'd at 6 and then using a nute mix for the alternate feeding. Other than that not much to report other that she's putting on weight in the bud sites and I'm starting to see a change in color. The trichomes have sure come alive this week. On Saturday I did flush this lady and checked my ph. it was a little high in the low 7's. I gave her a balanced feeding on Monday and things are spot on. I'll keep this regiment up over the next week to see how things go. Best of luck growing everyone. 😀
Another great week for this beauty. She continues to pack on weight at the bud sites. The smell is outrageous. It is super fruity and sweet. No hints of apple yet but I am certainly not disappointed. She is really starting to show those Snow White trichomes this week. I hope this continues to develop. I also discovered a local shop not too far from here with a great veteran of the game. I picked up a lot of great info and a lot of great stuff. Lot's of little items like feeding syringes, air stones, notes, etc. I even picked up a 3 gallon hydro bucket to try my hand there. All in all a great week and I'm looking forward to the next. Stay safe and happy growing everyone 😀
It was another great week once I was able to get my nutrient issue under control. I am almost too embarrassed to admit what is was but......... here we go 😉 While using the Fox Farm TRIO....
I decided that during bloom the plants just need the bloom nutrient and not the blend of all three as required to balance everything. 😞
Now that I have come clean the corrective action and learning opportunity was had. She bounced back quite nicely and I have been doing some light defoliation as needed where sick leaves are dying or needed to be pruned. I'll continue the regiment into next week. As always if anyone has any feedback it's most welcome here.
Stay safe and happy growing everyone.
She's at her last leg now. She's really filled out nicely this week and she's really starting to sparkle. The smell is outrageous. Very sweet and fruity. This week we went very well and I'll likely begin flushing this week. I've added one of those CO2 bags to supplement in the tent while I research a better system. If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear what's working. I currently am in a 40x40x80 Vivosun tent. As usual any feedback is always welcome. Stay safe and happy growing. 😀
Hello everyone,
I'm just looking for some general opinions on recommended harvest times. I'm curious to see how my intuition is stacking up with reality ;)
Thank you to everyone that stops through.
Almost to the finish line now. Just a few more days and She'll be ready for harvest. All of her trichomes have turned cloudy and have begun showing amber. I'll likely let her finish out today and then go dark for 2. The smell is amazing. Sweet but very powerful. She's frosted up nicely and even with some nutrient issues earlier on, She's been a champ. I've also began flushing this week as well. I'm hopeful that if all goes well, next week will be a harvest report. Thank you to everyone that has stopped by with some love and support. I appreciate y'all. 😀
This was one of three FastBuds beans I dropped for my second project. I really love these genetics. They are consistent and uniform and are great for building a growers confidence. This lady was the first to finish. She was an easy grow though I made some nutrient mistakes early in bloom that haunted me throughout my grow. Still through it all she was great. Very strong sweet and fruity smell. I did not detect any apple undertones but it did have a really nice mixed berry and sour smell. Really pleasant and sticky icky ;)
My only other issue was with my cure. I could not get my space below 80 degrees F. The humidity was on point but she dried very light. Other than that I love the smoke. It keeps me up and creative and a good Sunday morning compliment to a nice cup of coffee. Thank you FastBuds and thank you to this wonderful community for the support and help.
