Both plants are doing pretty well this week. Candy Kush lost a few more leaves from the Mg deficiency, but the CalMag seems to have helped. There are no new yellow leaves and the ones that were already yellowing haven't gotten any worse, so I think the worst is behind us. Speedy Chile has been doing very well. It started to show a bit of yellowing on one or two leaves, but nothing too bad. I've gone back to watering like normal and I've seen very few flying bugs of any sort, so I think we're doing ok there too after the fungus gnat scare last week. The plants are definitely focusing on getting fat now. The flowers are starting to connect together on the main branches and are beginning to look like proper colas now. Jack Frost has visited as well. Speedy Chile in particular has been looking very frosty with some trichs even starting to appear on a few of the uppermost fan leaves. Candy Kush has a pretty good layer of frost too, so I'm excited to see how it progresses. At this point, I'm crossing my fingers for a harvest before the end of November so that they'll be mostly cured if I end up going away for the holidays in December.

2 plants in 0.5L pots in BioBizz AllMix. Using tap water. Both have twisted/incomplete new growth with strange texture and discoloration on some lower leaves. Suspicion: 1. Very soft water-> CalMag deficiency. 2. Low humidity ~25-35%. 3 Need to pot up (planned to do it this week)

These plants have been topped/LSTd. They're 5 weeks old in their final 7L pots. I'm thinking they're about ready to flip in the coming week, but I'm open to opinions on if I should wait more. Also, defoliation before flower: Skip it? Do it? If yes, then how much and where from?

Hey there Tiny Couch, you're absolutely right that they're ready to be flipped, that much you can tell by the new growth happening . Still though with a topping which is a HST , i would say try to aim for an average veg of 7 to 8 weeks. Topping can really reduce your yield, that's what folks dont realise. 5 weeks is very short for veg, but because of watching folks do it online it got kind of normalised lol The difference in yield for a short veg of up to 5 weeks and an average veg of up to 7 weeks is really quite huge, and in my personal opinion it's totally worth it if you have few plants. Go for 8 weeks even, that's not even a long veg, not really. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks for your advice! 👊 They were topped two weeks ago and have had consistent growth and LST since then, so I was thinking they would have recovered by now...? I'll admit that I am a bit impatient to move on to the next stage, but more than that, I was worried about letting them veg too long to where they end up outgrowing their small pots during the stretch. I'm not looking for a massive yield. An ounce off each plant will be plenty for my consumption, but the more, the better of course. Is the potential of outgrowing the pots something I should be worried about if I let them go another 2 weeks in veg?

Change humidity to 55/65% and temperature between 23-26 ºC it's really important in the vegetative stage.

@Tosca, Thanks for the tips! I've gotten better control of the humidity this week. I don't want to buy a humidifier, so I just spray water into the tent a 4 or 5 times a day to give them a good dose of humidity. Even then, with the bigger pots now, the humidity is staying a higher than before. Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about the temps. I don't have A/C and I live in a pretty hot place, but temps have been going down this week, so they'll get some cooler air soon. Maybe they're not growing as fast as they could, but they're still making progress!
