Round 2 - Gorilla Zkittlez Auto

So here we are again for my 2nd grow! Am growing another Barneys Farm seed as it was purchased at the same time with 5 others, just wanted to grow the Cake 1st! So for the 2nd try it was a choice between this and Dos Si Dos auto. Will save that for next round...this time its all about the Gorilla Zkittlez auto. Soaked seed for 36hrs and planted straight into jiffy plug soil id put in a small pot. 12 hours after it sprouted i planted into final pot. Pot is a 16l fabric pot that i have folded down so after calculating volume it is holding 9L of soil. Have added a ring of wire in the folded down part and stapled it all around. This gives me a solid base to LST from. Did this last time and worked great. Soil is BioBizz All mix. Same as last grow. Had no problems so went with it again. I am starting it with the 125w CFL in a converted drawer unit while my last grow finishes drying in my tent. Should be ready to trim and jar in about a week. Then i can move this one into my tent. The first 3 days i watered with 50 to 100ml of dechlorinated tap water, ph to 6.4. Day 4,5,6 and 7 i have watered 100ml with Voodoo juice. Am going to use the same AN nutrients as last grow with the addition of B-52. Thanks for checking out my grow. I hope to improve on my last one and learn from some of my mistakes.

Second week has gone well and all is looking good. Started feeding her nutrients and upped watering to 500ml every other day. After 7 days hanging in the tent, my last grow finished drying. I gave the tent a good clean, fan blades and all! I let it all dry out then moved this into the tent on its day 12. Felt my last grows buds were a bit airy so I invested in a better light. I went with the Vipar Spectra P1000. It fits perfectly and is double the true watts of my last light. Using the watts per square ft rule, this is slighty over for my space but being dimmable i should be able to manage it. (Famous last words haha). The light is currently 28cm from the canopy and running at 50%. I plan to carry on feeding the same amounts next week and will also be starting to train her. A very busy week for growth and for training. I topped her on day 16 between the 6th and 7th node. Then over the course of the week i have been training her into a star shape while taking a few leaves every few days. I am aiming for 10 main colas round the outside and some in the middle. The middle numbers all depending on space but minimum of 4. Have been alternating between feed, water, feed, water etc. When the top inch or so is dry. Which is every few days at a ph of 6.4. She has started showing pistles which is great. Expecting a stretch in the next week or so where i will be training her lots to make maximum use of my small space. Light was at 50% this week. A very eventful week. Keeping up with the LST and training her to a star shape. More defoliation this week and beheading! (See below) The 2 tops i made by topping were causing me issues with light height. I was trying to slow their growth a bit with ponytailing them together 12hrs a day. I could make up a tale about how my cat eat it or my light fell. But in all honesty, yesterday i had a moment of madness and chopped it off. Deciding that i can do without them. I hope this hasnt stunted her and she stays short. I need that big stretch. Light was on 60% this week at 28cm. Am upping to 80% next week and raising the light a bit to hopefully help with stretching. Started a little bit of bloom nutes this week and upped the cal mag as she showed signs of needing both. As always, feed, water, feed, water. Although i have been adding .5 calmag to my waterings. All at 6.5ph using dechlorinated tap water. I also made some improvements and upgraded my fans. The same as before Arcric f9. Just new ones. I also made the mount more sturdy and tidy. They are powered from a 12v multi volatge plug, same as before. Thanks for checking out my grow.

I admitted defeat on trying to grow the stems to the edge of the pot. I think the chopping of her top last week along with the dedoliation stunted her a bit. Didnt get much stretch this week as i had hoped but the bud sites are coming along nicely. Hope they will get nice and fat by the end of it to make up for my mistake in the lack of growth! Started to get some frosting on her and she already smells sweet. When rubbing the sugar leaves on your fingers it's definitely skittles smell along with aniseed and piney. Upped watering to 1.2L this week. On plain watering days i am adding cal mag too. I moved the light right up this week to try and help some stretch but didnt seem to help, so will lower again next week. Thanks for checking it out. She has been growing nicely this week. Bud sites getting bigger by the day and WOW, the smell is amazing. Like love hearts, refreshers and skittles all mixed. Such a sweet aroma. I hope that will be there when smoking and taste how it smells. I removed a few leaves that were blocking light and also took all the LST ties away. She is still getting 1.2L every feed/water. Using dechlorinated tap water to a ph of 6.5. Going to lower the grow nutrients next week and also lower the light a bit. Thanks for checking out my grow

The buds are growing daily and can't fault the smell. Like smelling a bag of fruit candy when i open the tent. Been checking the trichomes the past few days and see some clear, some cloudy and the odd amber. My last grow was very heavy hitting couch lock weed, tasty but stoney! So want this one down a bit earlier with less amber. Will be switching big bud for overdrive for the next week or two and then plan to flush. Depending on trichomes. The fan leaves started fading this week and some started to drop off today so went round and pulled any that came off easily. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber. The way the feed, water, feed schedule worked out is today was a water day so decided to start the flush. I used flawless finish at 2ml per litre in 2L of water to 6.4 ph. I watered 2 hours before lights off and then flushed this out 6 hours later at lights on with 2.5l of 6.4 ph water. Smell is so addictive. Sweet and fruity with hints of lime. Has really frosted up and the buds are covered. Excited to make hash with all the trim. Have been putting ice packs by the intakes this week. Just before dark period to get temps lower at night. Plan to flush for 8 days and give 2 days darkness. Chop in 10 days from now. For what i did to her in early flower she has done great. The yield has taken a massive hit but hope the quality makes up for it. Thanks for checking out my grow Soaking the next seeds a week today!

I had a feeling something was up. The buds just didnt look right and sure enough i found at least 10 male pollen sacks(nanas). I have cut all that i can find although it's right at the end so not too worried. Not 100% sure why this happend but multiple options that could be the cause or at the least a contributing factor. My first thought was the introduction of the ice blocks. My other thought was that i turned up the intake fans to draw in more air and they blow directly on the buds. Another thought is my light being too close. I turned it down slightly this week so the could be drop in light levels. She smells amazing. Starts off a bit piney then into a sweet candy skittles smell. Has fattened and frosted up nicely this week, can't wait to smoke it. Have flushed every other day with de chlorinated tap water to a ph of 6.5. She went into darkness today and plan to chop in 48 hours. Next 4 were soaked today and will be planted tomorrow. Very happy with the outcome. After cutting her main stem at the start of flower i stopped her stretching. Massively affecting yield but the quality is amazing. Smells so sweet like a bag of candy with a piney gas smell. I am also getting aniseed smell and some mint. I have tried one joint and even with no cure it tastes great. Very sweet and fruity on the inhale with sweet and piney notes on the exhale. Can't wait to try it after curing. I dried for 5 days as temps were a bit higher than optimal so wanted to get it into jars before i over dried it. Final weight was 37.33g of dense, sticky nugs. I got just over 7g of sugar leaves that will be made into hash with other trim soon. Thanks for checking out my grow. See you on the next one Update: Made some bubble hash using the trim and other trim ive collected. Been storing it in the freezer until i had time to do it. Managed to get a little over 2g total so not bad from 20g of trim. The buds smell even better now after 2 weeks curing. A sweet, fruity and piney blast hits you when opening the jar.
