The girls are looking good. Red poison had one heck of a tap root after germination with the damp paper towel for 24 hours ph at 5.5. Crystal candy was left in the germination process for 36 hours as the tap root was much smaller and significantly behind... To my surprise initially the Red Poison popped its initial foliage in about 12 hours and the Crystal candy was again about 12 hours behind. After a nights rest and a full days work I came home to see Crystal Candy exponentially bigger then the Red Poison. My humidity initially ran around 50-55%. Day three I incorporated a humidifier and now my humidity is coming up nicely for these girls. I’m using fox farm ocean forest soil. No nutrients added. The soil medium tested out at 6.6 to 6.7ph on my meter. All is well and I’m excited about this fun and exciting new hobby.

Grow Questions

Will C02 significantly help these girls grow? I’m curious about incorporating either the bags or a canister in my tent. Can anyone tell me about there experience in these products or is there a home remedy to produce co2 that is equally as good if not better?

I’m not a pro but I had the same question and was told for small home grows co2 will not make any difference.. I vent and have fresh air all day and have a few really good grows. Hope that helps

Day 13, these girls are looking very healthy. Day 11 was the first feeding and they have taken quite well to the nutrients. Deep luscious dark greens have appeared and a nice stretch overnight. I raised my lights 4” this week as the plants are growing. I also added a fan speed controller to my tent to assist me in temp and humidity control. Exceedingly satisfied in these first two weeks with the genetics I’m seeing in Sweetseeds red poison and crystal candy. Just a joy to grow thus far.

Learning day by day on my first grow. Day 19 and these girls are looking very healthy. I’m glowing with happiness in the results I’m achieving thus far. Weeks three I have concentrated on training my plants to open up and bush out to creat more tops. I’ve been watering about every 3 days and feeding as of recent. In the last 4 days I have noticed that these girls are becoming quite thirsty.

Week 4 has been a vigorous week of growth. I have finally been able to grasp ahold of better environmental control and climate of my tent and room as I learn in my first grow. The addition of an upper and lower oscillating fan also seems to have greatly improved the plants conditions as apposed to the old box fan I had started out with Initially. I saw an immediate change with my girls... I also introduced silica into the mix week three going into week 4 as well as some organic cal mag. The lush greens and mass growth seems to have really taken off due to implementing these nutrients. For the most part I’ve been using RO water with a few random waterings from my tap after the water has sat a few days. I gave one mass feeding this week including some black strap molasses that the girls really took quite well too. Followed by some small feedings... I haven’t quite figured out a feeding schedule as I just read the plants and see how they are doing each day. Red poison just began pre flower at the very beginning of week 4. Crystal Candy XXL has also taken on a huge growth spurt in the last 48 hours. I’ve got my fingers crossed for a good outcome. So far so good but I keep getting nervous for failure as I am a worst case scenario planner. I finally received more seeds this week and ordered some 5 gallon airpots to start the next 4 girls to keep on with this medicinal new hobby of mine. It’s has become a wonderful Healthful distraction from the challenging days of owning and operating a business during this pandemic and being a father and husband. I now understand why some say cannabis is the gateway to gardening. I’m already looking forward to springtime and beginning a garden outside at home learning this new skill and craft. Thank you grow diaries for this platform for us all to learn together and sweet seeds for the great genetics on my first initial grow.

Plants are healthful and well... I added a little recharge to the medium this week and wow what growth I am seeing in my Crystal Candy! Quite a stretch going on. No pistols or signs of flower but I feel she should be flowering later this week. Red Poison is well on her way in flower. I’ve begun to administer some signal by tps to her as well as fox farm tiger bloom for flowering. Purples are now starting to come in on the red poison and many bud sites are opening up. She’s starting to develop a very nice dank earthy aroma. A touch of pine, earth, and dank. Gorgeous flowers. Crossing my fingers the grow continues to develop without issues.

Red Poison is flowering beautifully. She’s producing some very nice smelling buds earthy like healthful soil, sweet of musk Mellon, with hints of citrus and dank. As for the Crystal Candy we have no sign of flowering as of yet. I cut out her undergrowth to clean things up as she was much to congested in her inner canopy. I’ll keep nursing her along until she decides to flower. She’s a strong grower but stubborn to flip... I’m getting excited to test some Red Poison in The near future.

Slightly lazy week in taking care of the girls. I did clean out the tent and give the ladies a new Spider Farmer SF4000 to flower under this week to upgrade the old cobs. They seem to be loving them thus far. Red poison is well on her way towards harvest. Crystal Candy still seems to be vegging away. I may put her under the old COBs in 12/12 to see what she’ll do before she takes over my whole tent. So far a strong and healthful first grow. 🌱

It is rare that our Crystal Candy XXL Auto®️ has not yet bloomed😟 Check the package, maybe it's the Crystal Candy®️ photoperiod dependent. Where did you buy the seeds? It may have been a problem for the seller. Sweet smokes! - Apolo

@Sweet_Seeds, I’m fairly certain that it was one of the seeds. It had been sent to them in a package from your company... However there is human error That could be factored in and honestly all possibilities are probable In dealing with Mother Nature. We can try and control her but sometimes she likes to do her own thing. Small percentages can do this I know. She also may have been shocked by a cracked stem during lst, it is behaving more like a photo period however I feel. I’m going to switch her into 12/12 and see what we’ve got. I had this happen on a critical purple before... I appreciate your input and cannot wait to try more of your genetics. 🌱🙏😎

@@Pepperonistoney, Maybe he didn't give you the autoflowering version. Of course, if it is photoperiod dependent, it will begin to bloom. If it is not photodependent, it would be autoflowering and it is rare for an autoflowering to grow so long. Sweet smokes! - Apolo

@Sweet_Seeds, It was given to me from a friend and mutual grow diary blogger that has had several crystal candy grows. It is rare but she is beautiful none the less. I’m going to put her on 12/12 in a few days and see what happens. It’s been a fun grow non the less. It’s a very strong Growing plant. I haven’t had any nutrient deficiencies or ph imbalances. Same conditions as my Red Poison. Would it be safe to assume 12/12 may induce flowering? I’m certainly not upset as this is my first grow and I assumed all bad things could or would happen. It’s been a great learning experience and I will definitely buy more of your genetics.
