Girls are staying short so far but undergrowth is starting to bush out like crazy. Once the undergrowth gets a bit bigger and has more strength I'll start some LST to allow more light to penetrate lower shutes. Gave first feeding today as well.
Growth is picking up and the girls have shown their sex/Preflowers. Gave another feeding today and started some high phosphorus/Tiger Bloom. LST seems to be working good on the two that I've started training. Letting one grow naturally as well to see how much difference in the final weight there will be. Green Crack seems to be doing better than the Blueberry Chemdawg. Green Crack canopy is all even now as I have been tucking the leaves as well as doing some LST.
Girls are starting to flower. GC is taking off and bushing out like crazy. Blueberry Chemdawg is taking off as well just not as quick as the Green Crack. I've been constantly tying the tops over on the Green Crack so as of now it looks like about 8 Main colas. Can't wait for these girls to fatten up and see what they can do!
The Green Crack is amazing me so far. Nice full branches of lush growth. Responded well to LST and has the perfect bowl look. When I first started the grow I germinated two Green Crack and two Blueberry Chemdawg. One Green Crack didn't pop out of the soil so immediately started another as you can see one is slightly behind (maybe a week and a half). I just removed some of the foliage that was just too bushy allowing lower bud sites more light. The Blueberry Chemdawg is one bushy strain that I can see so far. Short and bushy but with lots and lots of lower growth and lots of bud sites. Can't really tell in the pics but hopefully within the next few weeks they will shoot up so I can get some good pics of the lower growth. Starting week 6 at Day 35. Can't wait to see how these girls fatten up.
Day 42 and buds are starting to fatten up and are starting to get super frosty! Still about another 3 to 4 weeks to go. The Green Crack is dominating the Blueberry Chemdawg but man is the Blueberry Chemdawg some fruity smelling bud! Going to slack off on nutes from here on out and start more grandma's molasses with the waterings. I'm looking to get around 4 to 6ish ounces off just the two Green Crack's! Possibly more! The Green Crack is putting off a strong musty odor but with a slight touch to the trichomes it's almost like sniffing starbursts! I can't wait to see how they all finish!
Green Crack is definitely the dominant strain in the group. Colas are nice and dense and fat! Smelling so funky and sweet. Starting to see a little deficiency on the oldest Green Crack but I think cal mag will solve. Flushing and giving cal mag (haven't used before) and we will see what happens. Blueberry Chemdawg is got some nice fat little buds on it. Stayed pretty short from seed. Still should get about 2 ounces of the two Blueberry Chemdawg. Some hairs are staring to turn orangish so maybe we can harvest in about two more weeks.
Growing the Blueberry Chemdawg was quite easy. Really really bushy and short. Overall it was fun to grow and the density of the buds are on point. Almost has a pinkish tint to them. Seems to be in the 50/50 range on the sativa/indica. Really nice smooth smoke with a strong blueberry fruity pebble taste.
The Blueberry stayed short right from the beginning. I pulled the top of one over and trained it and that worked really well. The buds are nice and dense and they all got an even amount of light. The other one I let grow as normal and just pulled the side branches out but it was so bushy that the buds were somewhat airry with lots and lots of orange hairs. Still pulled almost an ounce off each of them. Manicured and put in jars for a good cure!
Green Crack was the dominating strain in this grow. She responded excellent to the LST and grew an almost perfectly even canopy. Smoke is very nice and smooth with a very very tangy flavor. Citrusy sweet with hints of pine undertones. Nice head high with awesome flavors!
@BigDaddyK, being cool outside has definitely been a big benefit for this grow. I have two 300w LEDs in a small grow tent and if left unattended for a little while it can get on up there in temps. I keep a check on it constantly to make sure it's where I want it. So far so good! RH is staying between 30-40 with a sometimes low of high 20's.
@BigDaddyK, thanks man! A little earlier harvest than I wanted but still both strains was showing about 20% amber and the rest cloudy. Having to move in a week so wanted to give it time to dry and start the cure as well before then.
@Dilphoducus, same here man! I've been able to tell a significant difference over the last two weeks. Thinking they have atleast two weeks to go but we will see. Thanks for following along!
Day 17. Day after first feeding and it looks like these girls responded very well to their feeding. I will continue to feed every other watering as well as increase the amount of nutes slowly to see what they can handle. I can tell quite a difference in the growth today. So far so good!
Seems like they're starting to pick up a little. Will possibly start some very light feeding soon. Had them on 20 hours of light. Switching to 24 until flowering. Not an expert so any suggestions will be appreciated and welcome!
