Hi folks,I had to decrease the overdrive from 1.6ml per l to 1.2ml per litre as one of my plants sugar leaves look like its suffering from nuts burn,I would have expected more of the pistils to be amber orange by now but looks like there is still a few weeks to go but its getting there

Looks like a nitrogen deficiency because the bottom leaves are yellowing but the new growth looks okay!

The pot should start feeling light at some point, which leads me to say your problem is overwatering. You have to let plant dry out or wait until the pot is light before you water to prevent this from happening again. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember Happy Growing and Free your mind one puff at a time.

Hey there MossyMan, Looks like you have lockout or pH issue due to the Rhiz, it will raise your pH quite a bit and when that happens the plant suffer, in coco. you need to get pH down and slowly reduce the pH to 5.7 ... right now i guess it's 6.8 or 7... maybe even more, hope this helps ! 🚀

Hi guys, I just flushed my 6 plants with plain phed water of 5.7 to try and combat what looks like nutrient lockout. Should I give half strength or full strength feed once the pots dry out a bit? I read somewhere that I should wait until the top inch is dry before watering them

I don’t think you have a nute burn I actually think you arent feeding enough from your diary. See how the flush turns out, also your ph is too high for coco in veg, you wanna be somewhere around 5.8-5.9 ph, check your ph pen as well, make sure it’s calibrated

Wait a little before re water them to avoid overwatering ✌️🏽Then give them half strenght nuts, but if u have nutrient lockout due to overfert give less than 1/2 like 1/3 or 1/4 , the half of the real dose they need 😊💪🏼

The question u should be asking urself is, does the sun change its intensity throughout the day? Yes it does. So, unless ur switching from indoors to outdoors, or from led to hid, then its safe, the plant will just see it as a reduction in intensity so be sure to place them closer to the light in order to maintain the nearest possible value to the previous par levels.

Hi team, I have a mate that grows photos in soil that says he can give me a clone or some cuttings anytime I want. I grow autoflowers in coco. My question is can I repot a cutting/clone in coco if it has already grown in soil? Regards, Mossyman88

The fact that the plant from where you are getting cuttings is growing in soil will have no effect if you want to grow the clones/cuttings in coco. For ease of cultivation, I would be getting rockwool cubes to plant the cuttings in to, however, if the clones are already growing in soil and you want to plant the cuttings with their soil into your coco system, there should be no problems what-so-ever. In fact, your coco would get a microbial boost from the soil. Any soil started cutting should not suffer from nutrient/water build up, as these will just be "sucked up" into the surrounding coco anyhow, coco being quite "sponge" like. Hope this helps,.... If he can give you a clone anytime then he must be cutting it fresh off the plant. In this case all he has to do is root the clone in a rock wool cube or something similar and your good to go. If he uses a cloning machine just put the roots in a cup of water to get them to you and transplant directly into your coco. There are a few different ways he can get you clones for coco. Lol not sure if you meant the clones are coming from a plant in soil, or if your getting clones in soil...lol but if you get them in say a small starter pot of soil just or something just wait until she is ready to be transplanted and transplant her soil and all into your coco, the roots will grow out and into the coco. Only thing is that the soil will retain your water and nutrients in it a lot more then the coco, so if there is lots of soil you are transplanting then maybe it’s better to do what the other grower said and leave it in soil till it can be cloned itself and make some new ones that way. Hope this helps, cheers 💨

Sure but keep in mind the soil has microbes and nutrients and fungi to help the plant get food and what not so i would leave the dirt around the root zone because of the micro rizho around the roots and put coco around it. Or take it leave it in dirt all the way and clone off of that into coco or root cube then coco

Hi team, One gelato left and the pistils aren't really turning orange,an odd one here and there. Its at week 19 now and has me really worried. Most of the vegetation is turning yellow and the bottom vegetation is turning yellow. Not sure what to do with it.

Awe man i woke This morning saw ur question and want to help. I grew one auto by accident it was a bag seed auto from dispensary weed. U have to check the trichomes and see if there white or clear. If there white or whitish looking kinda milky then its done. I dont wait for amber as it takes the flavor of the weed down . also looks shes done or a week away cuz u want the plant to die or start to die. I cutmine looked just like urs it was fire i waited on the other and it was garbage. I would get real close and look at thise trichs on the bud tho

This is my 4th grow and never had issues like this,I'm going to let them dry out for another 2-3 days and then hmfeed and hopefully I'll see them perk up a bit. Soul destroying stuff really.

Hey buddy sorry that your having some trouble, no offense but you could be overwatering as well as, maybe try giving them another day or two from what you have been doing, that could help them perk up. Good luck man I hope you get it resolved

Need more perlite in grow mix. Too much water. Major issue is your soil ph. Your ph is out of range causing all your problems with nutrition. Always have at least 20 percent run off and test run off ph. Will tell you what soil ph is. Around a 6.0 to 6.5 should be ideal for you. Good luck and happy growing 🌲🌲🌲👊

Gents, I have 5 plants in coco, all autos, they all went into pots on 14/12.issue is my input pH is 5.6-5.8 and my runoff pH is between 6.2 and 6.5. Ppm today was 1400 going in and 1100 runoff, plants are very green and were all flushed 2-3 weeks ago. Should I worry?

Increase nutrients a bit. Its normal for pH to be a little higher in runoff, but I would water more to bring it down.

I would pour a larger volume through the pot to get it in the range you want it. Regards the ppm again pour as much volume of feed through the pot until your run off matches the ppm of the feed going in. Simple fix my friend and happy growing and lastly I would aim towards 5.8 in the earlier stages and more around 6 for later on in flowering👍

Hey friend have you tried to recalibrate your ph pen to check the accuracy?
Experimentgreen
Experimentgreencommented4 years ago
@Mossyman88, Hey friend, So my comment came from me looking into the "questions" tab and saw you had a question relating to yellowing or discolored leaves. Many plants will definitely start changing colors as you lower the nitrogen levels, as their life is coming to a close, or if there's leaves that aren't getting enough light. I might have been looking at an older question and saw your nutrients were looking complete so I thought if you were having an unknown premature yellowing...that definitely recalibration of the ph every couple months can be a good jumping off point. Even if all seems good...it's worth checking every couple months. Your plants look nice, but the yellow leaves are there. If you're only 2 weeks from harvest though it really won't affect this grow. But something to think of for the next one.✌️ Happy harvesting

Mossyman88commented4 years ago
@Experimentgreen, Hi man,do you think the pH is out from my photos? The remaining green crack has about 2 weeks left and has some yellow leaves but I thought that was normal when plants are coming towards the end of their life cycle. I probably am due a pH pen calibration in fairness but I an wondering where your comment has stemmed from?

@Mossyman88, hmmm it’s a mystery ! you seem to be quite careful when you measure , still looks like lock out though 🤷‍♂️🏻 Maybe as the problem progresses it will become clearer what the issue is , just to be sure though take your foot off the nutes slightly then you’ll know for sure while playing it safe

Mossyman88commented4 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow,thanks man, I'm guessing you mean the pH of the coco must be high from the rhizo? My pH of my solution is between 5.8 and 6.0 unless I'm adding calmag then I go for 6.35 and I've only been adding the calmag every 3-4 feed. I have been trying to feed once every two days due to work obligations ,I did let then dry right out before last feed, you can tell from pics they on week 4 that they are almost wilting
