Time to start a new project. This time i'll be growing in coco perlite mix (60/40), which i haven't done before.
I've had positive results with Advanced nutrients fertilizers before, so i thought why not try the Sensi Grow package for the coco grow aswell.
I will be buying a more powerful light before the flowering starts. 300W Mars hydro led, which is very old model, is far too weak for a 1x1m tent.
Seeds germinated really, REALLY fast. We'll see how big we can get these ladies.
All looking decent so far, expect the plant #1 which is kind of odd, taking in account the fact I've given both plants the exact same amount of water and nutrients.
The leaves in plant #2 are drooping a little bit and some parts of the leaves are getting light green color. Nitrogen deficiency? I was thinking about over watering as well but it's coco perlite mix, so i highly doubt it.
If you have any suggestions, hit me up!
So i topped the plants few days ago. All good.
Had to cut down the amount of water i give, plants really liked that. There's still a lot to learn when growing in coco i see. Giving some more nutrients now that the plants have grown.
Nothing else worth mentioning. Just waiting for next month so i can upgrade my lights and switch to flowering.
Had to play some bondage with the LSD #2 to get the growing canopy on same level with LSD #1.
Still a little bit too much nitrogen, but the plant is not showing any bigger problems so it's fine.
Eagerly waiting for the flowering to start, which is going to be in two weeks.
Received Mars Hydro TS1000 yesterday, so It's time for flowering!
Some things i messed up this week:
-Accidentally broke one of the main branches from LSD #1, this girl is probably gonna stay small.
-Light was off for 17 hours because of my timer bugging out
Hopefully they will recover quickly. Going to feed the grow nutrients until the week is over.
Second week from switching is beginning, and you can sure notice the streching has started.
I defoliated the plant few days ago, now I'll let them chill for a couple of days before another hard defoliation.
Mars Hydro TS1000 is proving to be very efficient growing light for it's price, thanks for the tip @NuggetPawn !
Hopefully I'll be updating the diary next week!
Some odd colors on the leaves on both plants.
They shouldn't stretch much anymore. I defoliated them again couple days ago, now I'll just wait and let them do their thing.
Gradually starting to give them more nutrients, they are still liking it. There was some heat problems with the other plant due to the stretching, but it's fixed now.
Everything looking good, i was kind of surprised that the bushes didn't grow bigger during the first couple of weeks of switching to 12/12.
Now we'll just wait for the buds to start swelling, which should be soon enough.
