First grow. Learning training technique

First grow. Fimming is unreliable, will stick to topping and other methods for a while. ill probably try it again for an outdoor grow. It really messed up my oldest plant by creating just an unpredictable plant, and also somewhat stunted the growth, which helps for the new additions. Growing lemon candy by 710 genetics, shishkaberrry, og kush, and heavy grapefruit from attitude seeds. The first 2 were supposed to be the same but somehow they got mixed up so idk which plant is which. Any info will help greatly. I believe the 3rd plant is the shishkaberry due to the red on the top of the stems. Started this journal on week 4.

I messed this up pretty bad i think. I started the 2 youngest plants based on the time requirements that were listed on the seedbanks website. They're now 3 weeks old and im having to keep the other 2 held up to move to flower, they aren't looking so good because of my horrible training job. So other than topping the 2 new ones, I havent touched them, and will prune them before going into flower.

The 3rd plant, bottom right, has been taking off. Theres tons of tops on it, I guess those are the same as colas, idk. The 4th plant is hardly growing at all and is only 3-4 days younger than the 3rd? I'm hoping to start the flower stage with these guys ASAP, will ask on reddit if im ready now. New seeds are coming in and I kinda butchered the first 2 so i just want this grow to be over so I can start fresh and do it right with all 4.

Watered them heavy, started the flora nova bloom, just a bit though. Will switch them in 2 weeks with 24 hours of darkness, idk what the proper amount of time is, theres so many growers saying different things so im sticking with 24. Ordered a HPS bulb to go into my sun system 315. Added silica to my nutrient schedule. Checked the EC of nutes, it was 770, I added some water, I dont know what it should be since I only found out about it, but the water im using tested at 39 so it just sounded high. Need to check nutrient amounts and see if i need to adjust.

Plants doing great, 1st two I’m not doing anything but light defoliation. Move the 2nd from a 3 to 7 g pot, I thought it be root bound in there but I think it would have done fine without moving it. I got 2 cheap supplemental lights so I can start 2 grow spaces 1 for flower and 1 veg but the plants are loving the full spectrum. Has some issues with trying to run all 3 lights through my timer using a plug strip but I think I figured it out. I started smoking weed around the time covid happened after many years of not smoking. My music has improved immensely, and Unfortunately so has my appetite.

I wanted to wait one more week to flip but because of a problem with the lights/timer I had to flip them this week. Gave 30 hours of darkness, hope everything goes ok!

I’m pretty happy with how things are going with these plants! Yea the canopy isn’t even, I made some mistakes, a lot of em, from pruning too much at the start, mixing up the seeds, not knowing the genetics, lol. But that’s how I do most things I’ve never done before, it’s the only way I can learn cuz I’m not good at strategizing and had no understanding of how the buds were going to form. Thats another reason why I wanted to switch to flowering, to see the whole process through and correct my mistakes the next grow. I trimmed up the bush to allow more airflow and let the plant utilize the nutrients more efficiently. The tall one, 2, is already forming nice flowers after only a week or so, and I think she’s gonna have the biggest colas out of em all, she would have been taller but I cut off 1/3rd of her cuz she was too big, I kinda wish I would have taken her out and kept her as a house plant, try and stretch her out as much as Possible. The bush and 4 aren’t showing much flowering yet, but I think they’re just younger. Would have done nice with 2-3 more weeks in veg but whatever. Switched 1&2, hopefully 1 will get some better light and do some growing, she’s got some nice bud sites but isn’t stretching, might switch her to a 7 g pot. Been more hands off recently, and so glad I did, might have cut all the bud sites off lol. Anyway, I’m really enjoying growing, really enjoying this site, and community. Want to join some competitions but they seem very limited to the seed Sponser, so I will have to order some for the grow after the next one. Found some Amanita muscaria the other day, I dried them and ate a small piece, mouth was salivating off of that small piece and felt a slight Euphoria, then boiled them to eat with my dinner. The boiling took away the effects of the ibotenic acid so the mushrooms had no effect after that. I’m glad I only took that small piece because Without knowing I could have easily had a horrible experience.

Plants are budding real nice! 2 are stretching and growing quick. Other 2 are budding, not growing so much though. Started popping some new seeds, 2 shiskaberry, 2 zkittlez, & 2 mowi wowie. 3 popped so far, 3 to go!

All good this week, they’re growing fast!

Wasn’t able to log on here for a few weeks but they’re doing good. I thought The seeds got mixed up somehow but now I realize it’s just the differences in the appearance cuz of genetics, the two on the right are lemon candy, 7 10 genetics, which I am very pleased with. The tall one in front is shiskaberry, and one in the back is either heavy grapefruit, or OG berry kush. I have started vegging my second batch which are zkittlez, and mowie wowie, Barney’s seeds. I wish I would have gone with smaller strains as they are listed as being taller than shiskaberry, 😒.
