My first diary running Auto Colorado Cookies from Dutch Passion. I’m doing two of these in 3 gallon fabric pots using recycled organic soil from a previous run and a seed starter I made. The bottom 2/3 of the pot is filled with the recycled soil that has been amended and the top 1/3 is a seed starter mixed with a few handfuls of the amended soil. I’m finishing up another Dutch Passion grow using this same soil mix and it’s finishing beautifully. Always looking to improve so I’ll be adding a couple extra things this time.
Here is my soil mix. The amended soil cooked for 6 weeks and the seed starter for about 2 weeks.
Recycled Soil Mix (bottom 2/3)
- 5 gallons recycled Roots Organic Original
- 1.25 gallons Coast of Maine Lobster Compost
- 1 gallon perlite
- 1/8 cup oyster shell powder
- 1/8 cup dolomite lime
- 1/4 cup azomite
- 3 tablespoons greensand
- 1 tablespoon langbeinite
- 1 cup of mixed dry amendments containing equal parts of Down to Earth All Purpose 4-6-2, Down to Earth Alfalfa Meal, Down to Earth Crab Meal, Plantonix Neem Meal and a double amount of Espoma Kelp Meal
Used 4 gallons of the above (2 gallons per pot) and stored the rest for later.
Seed Starter (top 1/3)
- 2.5 gallons peat moss
- 2.5 gallons Coast Of Maine Lobster Compost
- 2.5 gallons perlite
- 1/2 cup oyster shell
- 1/2 cup dolomite lime
- 1 cup azomite
Used 2 gallons of the above (1 gallon per pot) and stored the rest.
After filling the pots, I soaked the seeds in rain water for 24 hours and then planted directly to the 3 gallon pots. Seeds broke through soil after 3 days. The plan for this grow is to use collected rain water, a couple top dressings, an occasional tea and some Recharge.
Sorry for the long rant, I’m just trying to be as detailed as possible🌱🔥💨✌️
Everything went well this week with no issues.
Temps between 70-80 and humidity 50-55%.
Watered them every other day with up to 1/2 cup of rain water per plant.
On Day 12, I gave them Recharge at the rate of 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. Also added Safergro Natural Wet (yucca extract) at 1 tablespoon per gallon. pH came out to 6.8. The rain water pH is 6.4
pH really isn’t an issue in Organics but I still like to check and keep it between 6-7 as best as possible.
That’s all for this week, StayWeeded!
Day 16 - Mixed up 1/2 gallon of filtered tap water w/ 1/3 teaspoon of Alaska Fish Fertilizer. The filter I use is made for organic gardening and takes out the chlorine and chloramine. The filtered water has a high pH around 8.0 but adding the fish dropped it to 6.5. Fed each plant 2 cups.
Day 18 - 2 cups rain water each
Day 20 - 2 cups rain water each
Noticed what I think to be the start of some light burn happening. The light on that side of the tent can only go so far up because the exhaust is above it so I moved them to the other side of the tent which gave me a few more inches. Starting LST tomorrow so that’ll help keep them down.

Started LST this week. Canopy is nice and even. Watered each plant every other day with 1/4 gallon. Defoliated only a small amount. Tucked the rest of the fan leaves away and under the canopy.
Day 22 - rain water, Recharge @1/2 tsp per gallon, Natural Wet @1 tbsp per gallon. pH 6.4
Day 24 - rain water pH 6.5
Day 26 - rain water and coconut water @1/4 cup per gallon. pH 6.0
Day 28 - Top dressed 4.5 tbsp of dry amendments to each plant(1.5 tbsp per gallon of soil).
2 tbsp of Down to Earth All Purpose
2 tbsp of Dr. Earth Flower Girl
1/2 tbsp of Down to Earth Crab Meal.
Also threw in a handful of earthworm castings to each and watered it in w/rain water. pH 6.5
That’s all for this week!

Continued LST and did some defoliation on a few fan leaves and lower bud sites from both girls this week.
Day 31 - watered each with 1/4 gallon of rain water with Recharge @ 1/2 tsp per gallon and Natural Wet @ 1 tbsp per gallon pH 6.8
Day 34 - watered each with 1/4 gallon of plain rainwater pH 6.4
StayWeeded ✌️
Upgraded the light this week and got the Spider Farmer SF1000. I kept the light intensity at 100% and raised the light all the way up. Slowly lowered to 22” from canopy by the end of the week to minimize stress. Girls seem to be happy with it. Did some minor defoliation and LST to even out the canopy. Watered each with 1/4 gallon every 2-3 days.
Day 36 - rain/filtered water and coconut water @ 1/4 cup per gallon of water pH 6.8
Day 38 - rain water pH 6.4
Day 41 - rain water w/ Recharge @1 tsp per gallon & Natural Wet @1 tbsp per gallon pH 6.5
StayWeeded ✌️
Buds are getting denser, stickier and stinkier this week. Defoliated a few leaves from each plant throughout the week. Watered every 2 days with a 1/4 gallon to each. They got a mild compost tea beginning of the week to boost the microbial life and their final top dress towards the end of the week.
Aerated Compost Tea Recipe (24 hour brew)
2 gallons rain water
2 cups Coast of Maine Lobster Compost
3 tablespoons GS Plant Foods Fish & Kelp
3 tablespoons EWC
1 tablespoon kelp meal
1 tablespoon azomite
2 tablespoons molasses
Top Dress per 3 gallon container
3 tablespoons Dr Earth Flower Girl
1 tablespoon Down to Earth All Purpose
1/2 tablespoon Down to Earth crab meal
1/4 cup EWC
Day 43 - watered with 50/50 mix of compost tea and rain water pH 6.0
Day 45 - plain rain water pH 6.4
Day 47 - top dress and plain rain water pH 6.4
Day 49 - rain water w/ Recharge @ 1 tsp per gallon and Natural Wet @ 1 tbsp per gallon pH 6.5
StayWeeded ✌️
Not much this week except watering every 2 days with 1/4 gallon to each.
Day 51 - rain water pH 6.4
Day 53 - rain water w/ Recharge @ 1 tsp per gallon & Natural Wet @ 1 tbsp per gallon pH 6.9
Day 55 - rain water pH 6.4
StayWeeded ✌️
Continued watering every 2-3 days with plain rain water. Buds are fat, trichomes look good and are showing some amber. Should only have another week or so left before harvest
Getting close to harvest. One of the plants is maturing a little quicker than the other and has colas the size of soda cans. The other plant isn’t as big but the buds are super dense. About 1 more week til chop
That’s about it for these ladies. Already put one in the dark yesterday and is getting the chop tomorrow. The other plant is going in the dark tomorrow for 48 hours before chop. Harvest coming next week!

Hi
Great plantas you got here. Trying to go organic to. Thank you for yoiur aswer About my issue in my cookies dont think its calmag def and heat its about 20c night to 25c day. I think more in nitogen toxity. But as it dosent evolve im stock on the limbo. My soil was all about peat moss and vermicompost and some mycorrize. Think it as a little bit of overshoted nitrogen.
@StayWeeded, did some reading and made a go for it. Peat moss, vermicompost, micos, perilite and some vercumite. Week 6 and its looking good. If he can make it trouth i will give it a second run só a can ser the longevity of my simples super mix soil 😁😁
@@Jixxx, Thank you! Organics definitely has a learning curve but I love it. Spend time building your soil and say goodbye to deficiencies. As for yours, I don’t think it’s a nitrogen toxicity. Signs of that are very dark green leaves and they will be clawing down at the tips. Did you build your soil yourself? Peat moss, vermicompost and mycos are all good things to use though.
Looks like some amazing smoke brother. What would you say the trichome colors are on these? 100% Cloudy? trying to judge my trichomes based on when others grow... Check mine out if u get a chance!
Thx
Greengrows
@@GreenGrows, thanks, hoping it’s as good a smoke as it smells! Definitely not 100% cloudy anymore. If you zoom in to the photos, you’ll see a bunch of amber trichs throughout. I’d say mostly cloudy with around 20% amber and a few clear left.
I’ll check in on your diary and let you know what I think. ✌️
What size are your pot? What size its the best to got from sede to harvest organic? Im using 30L soil in a wide pot with 5L of expanded clay balls at the bottom
@@Jixxx, these are in 3 gallon fabric pots. I’ve finished in 3, 5, and 7 gallon pots organically. I have photoperiods in the 7 gallons but they went for over 4 months. I do autos in 3-5 gallons though and I’m pulling about 2oz per plant.
