R_Owl_Mirror This is my first time growing an Auto-flower strain. I just completed soaking the seed and after 24 hour, it cracked open. I placed it the initial growing medium today 03-08-2018 That's all I have to report, this being the first day. 😎

Nah dude, I dont think its worth it with auto's unless you have a lot of time and some luck. You can see it on my grow, I topped during week 2 and 3 I believe and it's taking ages to flower :( start adding the Bloom when the stretch begins, bit by bit, but keep the amount low until the stretching noticeably stops. Then you can add more to help it flower. Also continue to add Grow until stretching stops to ensure max growth during this growth-spurt. However, if you want to finish sooner and have less stretch, then use less Grow. Just remember not to switch too abruptly to Bloom,go easy shes a living thing :D

R_Owl_Mirror She is growing quite nicely. I used some dried "sativa sticks" by bending them into a V and staking down the branches horizontally to open up the canopy and allow the branches to stretch outward. I cut back on the fertilizers and only use water during this week. I can begin to see some pistils so, the next watering I will begin adding 1/4 strength Bloom Fertilizer. I am not sure she needed it but, in one watering I added 1/2 strength CalMag just in case the plant needed it. It seems like I need to raise the light a few inches every few days now. She is definitely in a growth spurt.

R_Owl_Mirror This week has been filled with a huge growth spurt, mainly due to bud formation. I have had to raise the lights two times in just this one week due to the growth. Definitely a lot of buds forming on all tips, as well as along the stems. There are pistils but, I can't see any crystals with the naked eye. Just a lot of plant material. I fed her one time with the above mixture of fertilizers in a one gallon jug over a three day period. I was informed this strain loved water but, I have found using LED lighting, there isn't as much transpiration. I have resorted to feeding/watering with a quart container once every other day. I think I will discontinue watering for the next week, until I notice the soil medium go about 80% dry before resuming watering. I was only able to take two photo's today because my batteries died in my camera. Once I replace them, I will add some more detailed photo's.

R_Owl_Mirror Well this past week has been interesting. She went into a spurt. Over 10 inches! Then she settled in and began throwing out clusters of Buds at every node. Yesterday, I was finalizing my Sativa for harvest. I normally add 2 table spoons of Mollasses to a gallon of water, once during the final two weeks. I decided to give this girl one cup as an added bonus to get the microbes working on the sugars in the soil. I am hopeful my Pure Sativa will finish soon so I can move this girl from her current tent (5ft tall) to my 8ft tall tent. Since her growth spurt, I have raised the lighting as high as possible and am afraid I need more height. I am confident the top cola's will grow taller and that might bring them too close for comfort to the lights. Overall she has been a delight to grow! This is my First Auto and I am impressed. Enough so that I placed another order for some Cobra Auto Regular Seeds. Hopefully I will get a male and can collect some pollen for some experimental breeding. Well until next week, enjoy!

R_Owl_Mirror She has slowed her growth and begun putting on quite a bit of heavy buds. The 3 inches of growth is purely due to the increased size of the top cola. She has been drinking much more water so, I have reduced the nutrients per feeding since I am watering much more often. The plant doesn't give off much of an aroma but, if you rub a leaf between your fingers the scent smells similar to Garlic. I have reduced the number of large fan leaves so as to allow more light to reach the lower buds. My huge photoperiod Sativa is about one week away from finishing so, by next week I should be able to move this plant into the 8-foot tall tent. This will allow me more headroom as well as provide some side-lighting. That should help the lower buds to receive more light and hopefully bulk-up. Well, that is it for this week. I hope people are following this grow. I haven't heard from anybody so, it's almost like I am producing this diary for myself.

At what point should I cease Foliar Feeding or applying water via spray bottle. I am currently in week nine ad the description of this strain says it should be ready for harvest between weeks 8-10. Approximately 20% of the pistils have turned orange as of today.

Hi. You stop foliar feeding after the first 2 weeks into flower, definitely do not foliar after that point as you don't want your bud sites getting wet, you can cause mold and other nasty things moistening the buds. You want at least 80% of the pistils to turn before you can even consider it to be ready/mature. Trichomes are the best way to tell how 'ready' she is. Hope this helps.

R_Owl_Mirror She's finally looking like she is close to finishing. I have cut back on watering and nutrients. She is finally exuding a wonderful fruity aroma. As you can see, she is beginning to sparkle with trichomes, both on the buds and leaves. I pruned back the remaining fan leaves in order to allow her to put all her energy into the final bud production, as well as to allow more light inside the canopy. The description said this White LSD should finish between 8 & 10 weeks. I could be wrong but, I believe she might go into the 11th week before it is time to harvest. The trichomes are approximately 20% cloudy as of today. Until next week, enjoy!

R_Owl_Mirror Well, this is week 10 and the Buds are completely covered in glistening Trichomes, including the leaves. Upon inspection with my handheld microscope & my new computerized Borescope, the trichomes appear to be about 50% cloudy. I believe one more full week and I should be ready for Harvest. I believe I may have set her back one week when I removed the large fan leaves to allow more light to reach the lower bud sites. Either that or it is just natural for this particular plant. The description for this White LSD stated she would be ready for harvest between 8 & 10 weeks. If anyone could comment on whether removal of the fan leaves would, in fact, set the harvest back, I would appreciate an answer. That way I would know for my next grow, what to expect. I suppose it is the old question of Nature vs. Nurture. Well, that is all for this week. Hopefully, by next update, I will have harvested and bring a close to this diary. BTW, the photo's of the up close of the buds were all taken using the borescope. Best $6 I have invested but, unfortunately, due to my age and disability, my hands are shaky and it took over 50 photo's to achieve the ones clear enough to post. Until next week!

Week 10. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

This is My first time growing an Auto-flower and I must say, it was quite enjoyable. Especially the End product! I went lightly with supplying nutrients as She was planted in Foxfarm's Ocean Forest soil, to begin with. The description stated she would be ready for harvest between 8-10 weeks. I harvested a majority of the plant during the 11th week & allowed the lower buds to mature for another 6 days. I don't own a scale so I am unable to provide an accurate accounting of just how much weight the Final Buds equal. After the lower buds complete their 3-day hanging period, I should end up with 3 Quart Jars, filled but, loosely packed for curing. I held back a few buds during the original harvest for a quick (oven-dried) smoke report. You will see a photo of exactly how much I consumed. LIT-PUFF-PUFF. Those 3 puffs lasted for about Five Hours of pure Pain Relief! I was able to skip my afternoon dose of Morphine! I must say, I am pleasantly surprised at what I achieved in such a short period of time. I have already begun my next grow of Auto-flowers so, keep an eye out for my next Diary. UPDATE: upon curing, the buds shrank, reducing my expected 3 quart jars down to 2 full quart jars. Still plenty good enough for my needs. Should last until my next harvest.

R_Owl_Mirror Overall, I enjoyed this growing experience. To obtain such a Supreme product within 80 days is just amazing! I also enjoyed the ability to keep a running Diary, complete with photos for each week.
