I do not use all these nutrients at once....One watering they get Jacks, Epsom, and Neptunes Harvest...They Next watering they get everything else. I know it seems like a lot, but the proof is in the pictures....The pictures are good proof that they're growing very well at week 4. Did mild defoiliation, had to water every 2 days now. And they're crawling out of the 5 gallon pots. I believe the gorilla glue is showing pistils. The others are a few days behind. They should start soon. ADDITION....Noticed lots of little buds and flowers today, these things really grow fast. I did remove about a tight handful of leaves that were either in the way or too low on the plant that they were not serving any purpose other than wasting energy. I also removed some from near the buds so they can get full light instead of being shaded out...4 weeks and 5 days the buds, some of them are over 2 inches. Its like they are on fast forward. I cant wait to post week 5 pictures this Sunday the 27th. The amounts of buds compared to week 4 is really big...
How are they looking? They were seeds on August 21st and are my 1st indoor grow. They seem to be ahead of most plants at the same age. Everything Im doing I learned here..
hey there RonnieB, foliar feeding makes a huge difference at all stages of the plant's growth. that's because leafs absorb most nutrients with an efficiency of 80%+ whereas roots have an absorption efficiency of something like 20% more or less depending on pH and chelation. So clearly if you spray , you can spray nutrients as well as cal mag with great results. to spray nutrients try spray kelp extracts which also contain auxin, the plant growth hormone. In fact the first three weeks from seed , you can spray the plant up to 6 times a day. cal mag is a great one to spray also, twice a week if you need to , or if there's a deficiency, it will make the plant rebound almost instantly. great technique to have ! The differences between sativa and indica really surprised me..I had no idea they were so different. I thought 2 of my plants were just bad seeds LOL!! but they are mostly sativa and my other 2 are mostly indica...Talk about a difference!!! WOW!!!
I wish I had better lights. These are cheap ts600 and par600 The last week i did major pruning of lower shaded popcorn buds, skinny stringy branches. Tied outter buds towards more lighting and have cut water and nutrients back. Ive found that if you let a plant get on the drier side. That it'll give you more frost, better flavor, and larger colas. This method comes from fine wine makers who force not so optimal conditions onto their vines. This in turn causes the plant to work harder and focused more on bud than growing new fan leaves. Cannabis plants biggest goal is to get a cola in to the air as high as it can in hopes to get a pollinating creatures attention. If you manipulate this you can force the plant to make better buds. Because theres a chance the plant senses danger because of the watering routine changing
Would better lights improve this grow? I am hoping to buy an Electric Sky 180 or 300. From what research I have done, and it was a lot. I never found one complaint and they're designed specifically for 2x4, 4x4 and 5x5 tents.
Hey Ronnie, are you unhappy with how the plants are developing with your current lights? They seem to be doing the trick man your plants buds aren't lacking or anything. There are a lots of light manufacturers out there, and so many options that its hard to give advice on every brand. My advice would be to really think about whether or not you really need to get something or not. I see you have some MarsHydro leds.. listen man.. from what I can see you're getting good results the buds are plenty fat and developing fine. Don't break the bank unnecessarily. My buddy burned the Mephisto plant by accident with a wrong ratio mix. Other than that my 1st grow is going well, I think. The gorilla glue plants are finally stacking up some rock hard buds. Ive read this plant doesn't have dense bud. I beg to differ. These are friggin hard as golf balls. No week 10 entry. Mephisto plant getting the chop this week. Should get at least a quarter pound or more.
The Gorilla Glue buds were phenomenal. Tight dense huge and long. I pushed these two plants really hard with nutrients..I didn't do a weight of each strain, 674 is total between 4 plants. I had one phenotype with the GG plants but it still produced phenomenal weight considering the lights I used. Alll the blue light stopped working 1 week in on my Par600. I was running well under 500 watts total and still cured 674 grams. This is what good supplements, fertilzer and care can do for you. I did use a lot of supplements for the results speak for themselves. If you want my recipe feel free to ask
This was my first grow and I made a few mistakes. My biggest was waiting too long before harvesting. I wrote to the breeder and he told me I should have cut all nutrients at day 75+ and just use water from now own. I grew mine 94 days and I feel this hurt my overall yields. The buds were not as frosty at day 94 as they were at day 80, thats a fact. For you new growers I can't advise using a quality silica product with every grow. RAW NPK silica is the best I've seen. When you are mixing with silica. ALWAYS add it first, wait 15 minutes and then check your PH, adjust if necessary and take notes of what you had to do to get your Ph lowered so you don't have to wait 15min every time, because Silica will raise your PH. Once you get that routine figured out, use it with every watering. Silica makes plants extremely resistant to stress and rookie mistakes, especially PH Swings, its a must have. Your nodes will also be closer together, and closer nodes means tighter buds. Silica makes your limbs and stem extra strong too, less chances of buds breaking your branches due to weight...So please if youi listen to one thing I wrote down make it this..USE A GOOD SILICA and a HUMIC ACID thats at least 50%

I can't wait to show you the pics coming this Sunday...The plants have exploded with growth...I was comparing my week 7 pictures to today and the difference is huuuuuuuuuuuuge!!! They are really stacking up with fat, greasy, sticky buds....The sativa in the GG is interesting to watch grow compared to the other 2 strains I am growing...Im growing 3 different strains x 4 plants. 2 FB GG, Roc Bud Purple Roc, and Mephisto Northern Cheese Haze X sour bubbly...And their growing behavior is very very different. I was actually worried about the 2 GG plants because the other two are so much different , but after researching they are right on par..Being my 1st indoor grow, I honestly didn't have anything to compare them to..Thankfully I can look up other diaries here...Stay tuned for Sunday, you won't believe the growth
@CRiSPrGrow, You did..They went into flower yesterday. Well, I noticed it today. Week 4 day 2 seems to be in line with auto flowers I believe. Everything is looking good and if all these little flower/buds grow into big buds. I will have a very nice grow by October. The stems are all big, training is going well. I hope I am managing my canopy well. Some of the branches that are tied down have grown out of the containers and I can't do anything about them going upwards. I guess thats unavoidable to some extent. The tops are over all pretty even. I added another bacteria strain from Tribus, its the bloom bacteria. The grow bacteria is great, so I hope the bloom is just as good. I honestly don't think I could push these plants any harder. I can't wait to watch these buds grow...Thank you very much...Im anxious for week 5 pictures ...
@Muntjac, Its very fun so far, but if you are OCD, its not for you, LOL...Stand by for a treat Sunday, when I upload those pictures. They're already stacking up. Some of the branches have grew longways out of the pots and turning up. There is little to nothing I can do about that. Other than try to keep everything as even as I can...A couple of the taller branches had larger buds than the lowers. SO I decided to tie them down a little lower. In hopes this makes the other branches follow suit....Fingers crossed
@heizen, I've already harvested...674 Cured grams, I just need to upgrade my diary. You can following from week one until 11 or 12. I just need to enter harvest information..
@heizen, I have 674 Grams total between all 4 plants, but the diary wants X amount from each plant and I didn't weigh it that way...Any ideas? And thank you for the compliment. Very ergonomi lights too. if you are on a budget you can buy an X1 or X2 and add a another bar with ease and you'll have an X3-300 watt. @Fast_Buds, I was worried at 1st with one of your plants. I wasn't aware it was a pheno. How ever that worry soon went away when it started filling in. These two plants were the 2 biggest producers of the entire grow. I mean massive, long, dense colas. The cure was easy after the long drying time. The taste and smell is very good and I was very impressed at the end result. Thank you FB
@Fast_Buds,The gorilla glue autos is the biggest in the diary. I cant believe these are only 3 weeks old. Those are 5 gallon not 3. They're leaping out of the pots.
