Here’s my experience during the entire grow... Soil-Organic-LST Germination Normal process. But later than Coco girl. She was started in a solo cup like container. Vegetative Stage Very slow growth for the first two weeks. After transplanting, came back to normal.Well response to LST and became bushy very fast. She was getting 20hr of light and start showing pre flower at week 6.I was feeding her with Coconut water, EM solution, Fish Amino solution and egg shell with vinegar alternately throughout her entire vegetative stage.Keep my watering pH around 6.0~6.5 and got run off pH about 6.5~7.0.No sign of any deficiency or toxicity. She was well fed herself with the potting nutrient. Flowering stage Stretching about two weeks and then stop.Forming buds slow and steady.Changing into some nice and colorful leaves.Tall and thin stem. But long and dense buds.Yellowing so early and worry at first. But that’s how she behave.Leaves are becoming yellow and die off slowly. Also buds are forming nice and fill with crystals. Her smell is smooth and earthy. Soil Potting Mixed Recipe 10gallon Pot -Coco peat: 30% -Soil Compost: 20% (Soil,Sand,Cow manure,Ash) -Bone meal: 10% -Earthworm fertilizer: 10% -Perlite: 15% -Marble stone: 5% -Crash egg shell: 3% -Chicken manure: 3% -Banana peels: 2% -Gypsum: 2% __________________________ Coco-Inorganic-ScrOG Germination Faster than soil girl.Put alot of hope on this one.She was also started in small container. Vegetative stage She was completely stunt growth at early days.First, I transplanted into 10gallon Coco/perlite mixed pot and still no sign of growth. So I transplanted into 1gallon Coco/soil mixed pot.And tried to replace her with another seed.On the other hand, I tried to revive her as best as I can and luckily she was completely recovered. Finally, she was transplanted again into 10gallon Coco/perlite pot and introduced to my ScrOG net.She grew very fast and quickly filled in my ScrOG net.Tried to catch her soil sister and became a monster plant.I kept watering her with pH around 5.5~6.0 and run off around pH 6.0.But I worried about Nitrogen toxicity during the transition into flowering stage due to some dark green leaves. But didn’t go worse.Followed normal Advanced nutrient feeding routine but less in concentration.I slow and steadily increased nute dosage as she was getting matured. Flowering Stage She showed pre flower a little bit later than Soil girl. She was already very bushy when she started flowering.Getting bigger and bigger everyday.I feed her around 1000ppm during the flowering stage. In 10gallon pot, I watered roughly around once in every week and left run off about 10%.At that time, medium was already dried about 1 to 2inches. Coco potting mixed recipe 10gallon Pot Coco peat : 70% Perlite : 30% Transplanted from 1gallon coco/soil mixed pot at Day-42. Scrog size Area : 1ft x 1ft (30cm x 30cm) Hole size : 2” (5 cm) Material : iron welded by four steel pillars. Height from base: 6” (15cm) __________________________

Harvest report Soil-Organic Getting about 360g of wet weight. She was filled with approximately 20% amber trichomes when I chopped her down. Coco-Inorganic Getting about 660g of wet weight. She is filled with mostly cloudy and about 5% amber but no clear trichomes. I will update the dried weight later on... Edited: Update Dried Weight Soil(Organic)- 97grams Coco(Inorganic)- 137grams __________________________ Appearance, Yield, Cost, Taste Appearance Soil-Organic Her buds are like a gardener or farmer who eats its own grow and stays fit and healthy.Small but dense and turning into some colourful buds in the late flowering stage. Coco-Inorganic Her buds are liked a bulky type who eats the right nutrition.Fit and strong with muscles.Becoming foxtail in the late flowering stage. Yield Growing in Coco using cannabis friendly nutrient is twice of the yield than in Soil using organic matters. So in the end, Coco grow is good for commercial purpose.Big and nice looking buds, proud to show. But for the one who like to smoke the finest taste should go for organic soil... Edited: I am pretty amazed that Soil grow is only 40grams in diff after dried. Cost But In cost, it’s a total win for Organic grow.I don’t have to spend more than 20$ for Organic grow.Coco grow cost me more than 100$ for the entire grow. Taste Both of them are not yet properly cured. But I have tasted both at one week of drying process. Soil-Organic Her taste is smooth and it’s like combination of fruits. Not have a distinct or strange taste.Everything comes in perfection and satisfaction... 👌 Coco-Inorganic She is nice for smoking. But it’s taste like missing something or strange in taste.I can’t get my satisfaction like soil grow. But the main reason is to get high.Isn’t it???😆 After all, I am very pleased what I have done and will still carry on.I will try to make some more amazing diaries as soon as I have something new in my mind. For now, I will keep on learning growing cannabis. Also Congratulation to myself for New Year with Marshydro winning award. From TS-600 to SP-6500...🥇 Hope all of you enjoy the grow... Keep on growing and Happy Growing to you all... ✌️

What a great run and experiment man. Was fun to see a direct side by side comparison. Synthetic feels like it's missing something eh? I had been reading recently about Microbes playing a much larger role in our girls terpene profiles and this may be the reason for the difference.. I'm curious now. Anyways, I'm rambling. Great work and thanks again for doing this!👊

@AlpineGoat, Thanks for your interest Bro.. I am also into Organic girl.I only cost around 20$ for the whole organic grow.I am pretty sure that’s main difference between Bottle nutes and my potting mixed.I don’t need to spend alot for growing...😆 ✌️

Leaves are curling down with the plant in coco. Could be too wet and caused root problem. However, could be just bad seed. I had these issues even when growing in exact same conditions.
JinksyGrows
JinksyGrowscommented4 years ago
@Burmese, @Med_in_tropic, I agree with Med, man. I have recently dealt with some not too good genetics and this happened on my end too. Your watering looks good and the soilless should be more aeration, so probably old seed or genetics (?). Regardless, the soil girl is doing very well and with time the soilless may pick up. Keep on trucking homie and happy trails this week✊

@Med_in_Tropic,Thanks Bro...May be bad seed or may be I am not so familiar with dry/wet watering circle for Coco.

Thats interesting that the coco was roughly double the wet weight, but shed much more water and the end dry yield wasnt also double. Did both plants get similar dry/cure?
Burmese
Burmesecommented3 years ago
@jonesy_grows, Thanks for your interest friend.I was also amazed that their dry weight aren't double like wet. Both of them are dried under same condition.I think that my soil girl doesn't have much water to loss before and after drying... ✌️

I also noticed this, if the inorganic does not experience fundamental hunger, its taste is insufficient, more often the smell at the end of flowering loses some trails and the plant tries to shoot new buds. Fundamental hunger in plant tissues and nutrition supports the natural signal for the end of life and high-quality ripening. But with soil there is always a different taste, even in different soils, different tastes are obtained. Great job. one more time bro! 😃👍
Burmese
Burmesecommented4 years ago
@Bloombuster, Firstly Thanks for all of your likes Bro... 😊 🙏... Yes, Bro I assume that all those natural beautiful ripening signs result from hunger of Nitrogen whether it’s soil, coco or hydroponic. Thanks again Bro... 😊 ✌️

Thank you. One of the most accurate comprehensive studies of organic verses chem nutes. For me flavour is more important than yield or THC percentage . Organic wins for flavour.
