it got off to a slightly hard start, but it is now well on its way again.
KA is probably the plant I most look forward to growing. the colors it can make of itself become an experience beyond the usual
Kalina Asia was sown when my attempt to get more strawberry banana failed. therefore it is the laggard in the grow here. it started quite early to make side shoots all the way down between the cotyledon and the first leaf cross, I have chosen to cut it off and hope it is enough to make it put side shoots higher up.
Kalina Asia is one of the strains I most look forward to seeing ready for harvest. its colors must simply be experienced. I have raised her pot to give her maximum light and I have topped her once to get more side shoots.
She is something after the rest of the grow, with her 4 weeks. so i have allowed it to stretch a little faster than i would normally allow them so she is with the front at the rest of the growet when they go in 12/12 with the light
it has been a bit the reverse world with KA. since I have let her stretch more than I usually do. because she is a few weeks behind the others, I hope to get her up to par with the other plants, which should be in 12/12 light in a week approx.
KA is the last sown plant in this grow and by keeping it to the light, it has managed to catch up with Runtzen in the height, which was sown a week before this plant.
I reckon it will be put in bloom in its 7 week where the others are then 8 and 9 weeks old when they go in 12/12
Considering that she first got started almost 3 weeks after the others, she has now done well with her 80 cm. as can be seen in the pictures I have canon healthy plants and there have been no problems of any kind.
She is in really good shape and flower production is in full swing and she is being pulled so far out on the net that it will be allowed to stretch a few more weeks after. it has today got 1 liter, 1900 ppm bio bizz mix.
the petals of the flowers have begun to show in earnest the purple colors and a beautiful plant.
There is really so much to tell about her or for that matter about the rest of the grow, as you can see in the picture I only have healthy plants and they grow as expected. :)
she has amazing flowers and she has been incredibly easy to grow. she is today on her 7 week birthday was put in dark chamber for the next 45 hours where after i harvest her
it was the first time I tried to cultivate a KA and the temptation was mostly to experience the color buds. she has been through a tough girl who, despite a slight poisoning of phosphorus, recovered very quickly and has delivered a sensible harvest, considering that she is grown under 150 W FS LED light.
she is on the 4th day of the drying time but as soon as she is put on glass I will state weight and other data.
I have now had some time to try the lady and it is a markedly different experience. it has a very subdued aroma and taste. the taste is slightly sweet, without me in any way being able to put a name on it. the effect is pleasantly light and it follows you in your choices. if you want to stone then it stones you, you want to be active, then that is the effect you get. so that way it is a good allday / night smoker as (green)
it surprises a little with the color when you have given it a go in the grinder, where the color becomes as if it were a dark hash (Afghan and cashmere) you were mixing. overall a good variety I think will give a really delicious bubble hash.
kalini Asia is an extremely grateful plant to grow. she can easily be pushed all the way through, as long as you like me offer her plants maximum conditions, then she is able to become a big solid plant with an overwhelmingly large harvest, well studded with crystals and I look forward to getting tasted on her smoke.
