Welcome guys 🙌 This one was a must straight after it came out. Got my hands of Barney’s Runtz Muffin and it looks like this will be my Christmas table smoke this year 😉 Germination was top notch - 100% germination rate after 24h on 3 seeds (keeping two for later haha) Seedling stage - not exactly sure what happened but girls got shocked and they needed good few days to start growing. This week starting to introduce fertilisers slowly and increasing EC to hit 1.2 ish with end of next week. As usual stay tuned with fresh weekly updates 🤘 Let’s get this grow started 👌

Welcome in week 2 of our journey with RUNTZ MUFFIN Finally we can see some growth and movement. This week is a key moment for nutrients introduction. From now on girls getting my full Veg lineup with 1.5 EC and 5.8pH (0PPM water) ....yes I’m giving them NIRVANA and BUD CANDY in veg as a “preload” (believe me it works magic) 😉 Somewhere this week they are getting transplant to 20l fabric pots where they will stay till the end. After transplant - start of LST and topping 🙌 Stay tuned with updates!

Pow pow and welcome to week 3 of veg. Girls got a transfer to new 20l homes where they will stay till the end. Took transplant bravely and looking very happy. At this stage they are around 9 inches high before topping. That’s something we will do this week on all 3 of them. After that and full recovery another week and we will move them to flowering tent to get used to new light before switching them. After slow start everything starts to look nice and crisp. Stay tuned with photo updates 🙌 Photo update after topping and another one after LST start 🤘

Pow pow and welcome in week 4 of veg for our Christmas cakes flavours 🤘 Now that was a busy last few days for those girls. All got topped after transplant to final 20l pots and we have started LST - slowly but steady 😉 As we have finally space in big tent girls got relocated to their final home and MarsHydro TS3000 light. From 3 plants I’ve selected only 2 to be flipped to flower. One stays in veg tent for next run but before we will train her badly as kind of experiment. EC this week we are trying to keep around 1.3 as they think need much to be happy from what I can see. Leafs are absolutely thick and massive and stems getting stronger every day. pH steady on 5.8 / 5.9 I’m guessing that under more powerful light those girls will get much more thirsty as it was before however for now they are getting 1l per 24h each. Stay tuned with updates 🙌

Week 5 of veg is officially here 🤘 welcome 🙌 As I was expecting, plants absolutely love big tent with big light what we can see in huge growth. This Runtz is totally full of side branches so I have a good feeling about it. In second part of the tent on the other hand Blueberry cookies instead of growing up getting more and more bushy. Stems are so strong that few hours after some LST they are getting back where we started. EC this week 1.5 pH 5.9 That’s the last week of veg and next Friday will be day 1 of flower. Can’t wait to see end of this run 😍 Stay tuned with photo updates 🙌

Welcome in day 1 of flower 🙌 So the day has come...lights switched to 12h for the first time. Girls are officially sent to bloom. As you can see decided to add 3rd one as well as veg tent is already busy with new projects. With this amount of plants it will be tight in there - I’m fully aware however full of hope that all will go just fine. Today they are getting only plain water with pH 5.9 and from tomorrow we are introducing Connoisseur into the feeding chart taking away Coco grow A and B. This project will definitely need lots of defoliation and stretching to fill canopy in a SMART way 🤔 Next week will show how much they are planning to stretch helping with planning Due to weather changes and hot days behind us we have much more temperature control and humidity levels are not going above 60% - perfect! As usual stay tuned with photo updates 🙌 .

Week 2 of flower is here ladies and gentlemen 🙌 This week girls will get some defoliation/lollipoping as this time garden is dense as hell EC this week 1.9 aiming for pH 5.8 / 5.9 2 litres every 24h As you can see stretching started quite aggressively haha. I really hope I will be able to squeeze all of them till end of this run. Stay tuned with updates 🙌

Ladies and gentlemen...welcome in Week 3 of Flower 🙌 Omg....The stretching is real.....girls almost tripled in size. Few days ago we went through every plant, removing tones of lower shoots and leafs. Girls recovered straight away, increasing in size. They all look very happy without exemptions and I’m just hoping I will manage to accommodate space they need. We can already see those nice small buds starting to form. Really can’t wait to see them in full beauty 😍 EC 1.9 - 2.0 as aim this week pH 5.8 2 litres every 24h Stay tuned with updates 🙌

Pow pow and welcome in week 4 of flower. Official Week 9 🙌 What a week it was...Runtz girls are getting absolutely mental with stretching. We are hitting 54 inches now and it looks like we are done. Now full energy going into flower production - as well nice progress. Blueberry is not leaving much behind to be honest. Defoliation on weekly basis for now - two times last week to allow as much light penetration as we can. EC this week aiming for 2.0 pH 5.8 - 5.9 2 litres every 24h per pot Stay tuned with updates 🙌

Pow pow and welcome Ladies and Gentlemen 🙌 It’s officially week 10. Week 5 of flower 🌹 Yet another busy week in our Christmas garden... to gain back control over the flowering tent we needed to go through next defoliation as lots of buds in middle area was covered by fan leafs. Basically few hours after my last weeks post I’ve noticed that 1 of 3 Blueberry Cookies decided to change the gender by growing pollen sacks. Plant was straight away removed from tent and destroyed. Remaining two started to change colours on flowers and I absolutely love it. Runtz Muffins - in great shape, covered with buds on every level. That’s the tallest plant I’ve ever done! Still have two seeds left so I will plan to run it completely different next time - maximising potential even more. This week we are aiming for: EC1.8 / 1.9 pH 5.8 Watering 2 litres every 24h Stay tuned 🤘

Welcome in week 11 or official week 6 of flower 🙌 What can I say about the garden... Full energy is now focused on flower production. At this stage we can see colours changing slowly and an absolutely love it. You can’t smell much (could be due to good ventilation and extraction) however after touching a sugar leaf on Runtz I was blown away...Freshly opened bag of skittles 😍 I really hope that they will still gain weight as they are slightly smaller than my last runs. We are aiming this week for: EC 2.0 ph 5.9 Feeding - 2l every 24h Stay tuned 🙌

Pow pow and welcome Ladies and Gentlemen 🙌 Week 7 of flower is officially here. From now on we are starting our 14 day flush time. Water with pH adjusted to 5.5 to start using all the buildups from the plant. All buds gain on weight in last week, they smell beautiful and are rock hard. I hope that they will finish nicely in those next two weeks as we are starting to struggle with space in veg tent haha. Absolutely love the colours on Runtz Muffin. Blueberry cookies...fully covered in withe 😍 Final countdown is on! Stay tuned!

Pow pow and welcome in week 13. Official week 8 of flower and the last one before chop 🙌 No changes really...apart from those beautiful colours showing everywhere. Its day 8 of pure pH’d water with no nutrients if it goes to feeding. Planning to keep on going with flush for next 4-5 days. After that 48h of dark and chop next weekend. From what I can see in this tent Blueberry Cookies will be way more done than Runtz Muffin as there are no white pistils left and from cloudy they are starting to get amber already. Really can’t wait to try them both. Stay tuned with last update in next couple of weeks to see the results 🙌

This strain is an absolute beast. Mega dense buds. Beautiful colours, fresh aroma and nice high. Quite easy to grow and I will definitely get back to this genetics. 300 gram of beautiful buds - without popcorn is a quite good result 👌

It was a tough one. But just because I made it like that. Lesson learned....however outcome is very good 😍 Absolutely dense buds with nice colours after full 8 weeks of flower. Quite energetic with a body balance. 3 plants and 300 grams of dry cured buds. On top around 100 grams of popcorn, massive pile of Kief and 2 grams of hash just from fingers 🙌 Really nice strain to grow and if treated good can bring absolutely massive amounts of herb. Thanks Barney’s Farm 😍👌

Heyo good evening, I have a little question mate. First of all beautiful grow looks really fruity and good, congratulations! But did you notice if there are micro seeds in your calyxes? Are there any in there? : / Best greetings ✌️🏻

@DesDeGrower, Ouh okay mate. But you mean real seeds right? What I meant are tiny microseeds with the size of a sugar corn. But you didn't have this or?
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@@krossercruiser, thanks mate. In entire grow I managed to find around 5-6 seeds and I know I’m not the only one. Probably still very fresh genetics are the issue behind. Still, very good smoke with really nice aroma and flavour 👌

@desdegrower Amazing grow 🔥 looking at yours compared to mine ave got a lot to learn am in day 13 and the soil is wet all the time is this the issue why mine are slow I am down the canna nutrients should I change it up and go advanced nutrient will 14 litre pots be ok for final pot anything u could help me with will much appreciated ✌️ happy growing
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@Scottishgrower710, cheers buddy 👌 on the very beginning it’s good to not overwater the plants. Give them 24/48 hours break before next watering. With soil you need to let the top part of medium get dry before watering. I’m using only coco so not much expertise with growing in soil. If it goes to nutrients. Don’t change the program. If you decided to go with canna stay with canna till the end. Basically rule of thumb if it goes to nutrients is always less is more. I’m using half of guidance from the bottle. As example instead of 10ml of A&B per 10 litres I’m using only 5 etc. Pots- on my first grow I was using 30l fabric pots on next ones 20l and the difference is very small so staying with 20litres. My next run I’m planning to go with autos for a first time and they will go probably to 16litres. Any issues or questions let me know 🤘 happy growing 😎

Congratulations on the win man!☺️What a fantastic grow.👍 I'm getting ready to start a runtz muffin grow myself. Already got the seeds so it's nice to the success with this strain.😉Just started several new grows so the runtz will be after these ones that are in progress. Will be posting today. So, I'm just wondering, upon scoping your diary on this grow I see you're using Ph perfect base Advanced Nutrients, but that you also have ph down on your nute list. I'm wondering what you were testing out at and where you brought it down to? I'm using Advanced Nutrients as well and was testing out at 7 which many of my associates said was to high, but I had 4 great grows. Thanks in advance bro, and congrats again. Really nice grow!☺️✌️
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@Nordynllc,Thanks bro 🙏 The reason I’m using pH down is quality of my tap water. pH Perfect works only with RO water, deionised water or distilled water. Due to using coco I need to go down to as low as 5.5 and after adding all Advanced Nutrients I was ending around 6.5 Unfortunately running grow on Advanced Nutrients and deionised water is extremely costly so this was my test grow using tap water. With those nutrients remember to always cut recommended rate by half on everything. Instead of 10ml / 1litre use 5ml and so on. Runtz like to stretch as hell after flip so look out for your space. Perfect for proper scrog due to internodes 👌 Have fun and once again thank you 🙏

Hey I've got a question, cause I'm going to do a similar grow as yours What type of ventilation system did you use and what type humidifier did you use? Do you have any other advise that i can use following your grow? Thanks in advance! :) Thank you for posting this useful diary as well.
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@Freedomfarmer42, Hi there :) First of all thank you for visiting my diary. Much appreciated. My setup is very simple: - 4 inch SYSTEMAIR RVK FAN (184m3/hour) with ducting and carbon filter outside the tent to just eliminate the smell - no intake fan with just one ventilation window opened on the bottom of the tent - two 4 inch RAM oscillating fans with bar mounting - RAM 10 litres dehumidifier (highly recommended) The only advice I can give you..be vigilant. Try to be in your garden every day. For nutrients remember that always less is better. Water is very important - RO or deionised/distilled with as low PPMs as possible - if you using Advanced Nutrients. If you will have any questions - hit me up. Always happy to help 👌 Have a nice journey 🤘

I too am seeing slower bud production at 28 days in flower than I would normally expect, hopefully it’s just one of those strains that push harder later in the flowering period. Can I ask if your leaves are naturally darker than most strains? mine are a real dark green even with light feedings.
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@Esoteric_growing,Indeed I’ve noticed same thing. First I was thinking it’s Nitrogen issues however same as you I’m more likely to say that it’s a strain thing. Have a great next week of fun 😎

looking good buddy, I have found after many years of growing that blueberry or plants with blueberry genetics have a much bigger tendency to hemi than any other strains I have seen or grown. Main thing is you spotted them👍
DesDeGrower
DesDeGrowercommented4 years ago
@Esoteric_growing, that’s a good tip to look at. Thank you 🙏 This particular plant went through lots of stress and I was expecting that she may turn on me this way. Main thing to be a good grower - spending time with your plants every day. That’s the biggest chance to react on time 😀 All best 🙌

Can I ask how often and how much many litres you are pouring through each feed? Mine seem to droop quite badly no matter how often I feed or if I feed a little or a lot. I see other growers of this strain also have fairly droopy leaves. Yours are looking good buddy👍
