A mixed bag for the Zkittlez Glue this week. My PH pen went out of whack and the poor girl had to suffer through a couple of days of sub 5 PH levels. I noticed some light brown spotting on a couple of the leaves so that raised my suspicions to a PH imbalance. I broke out the liquid test kit I keep around as backup to confirm and sure enough my pen was actually providing readings a full point higher than what they actually were. Anyway, I ended up chucking the pen in the trash as I couldn't even calibrate it again. I think I'm done with these cheap PH pens and will rely on the liquid test kit while I research something that is more reliable. I've been looking at the Bluelab stuff. Any other suggestions are welcome.
She grew about 5" more this week, finally catching up to the Grandaddy Purps growing beside her. The canopy and lights are finally even - wahoo! She's very spiritual, leaves praying to lights, and growing thick and strong. I added another fan to the tent that I've placed on the floor between the two plants that is angled up to provide some additional airflow. So far, I've had none of the humidity concerns I faced with my last run - but completely expected given that the air is much dryer as we move into winter here in Canada and the fact that I've finally been able to vent my tent outside and not directly into the room. I cut away several of the lower branches that weren't going to make it to the top of the canopy to open things up a bit more as well. Her buds are forming nicely and I look forward to watching her beef up and smelling more of her essence as she continues to develop over the next few weeks.
Thanks for tuning in โ๏ธ
Looking good man. I was gonna mention it looks like she took a big ph swing, but you look like you got it on the mend. Nice job so far man, bushy af! Cheers ๐จ
@StunFlower, Indeed! I'm going to give a couple more days of swelling before chopping her down. I popped my last Acapulco Gold seed but I plan to take some clones to keep the train going ๐
I swear I just had the same problem with my grow and EC meters! I was using an old cheap one and burning my plants. I bought a bluelab EC pen and instead of feeding 650-700 PPMs it was 1100+ lol.. same scale and everything.
Your plants look great, lots of frost!
@Oozle, Thanks fort commiserating! It's so frustrating to 'think' you're making all the right moves only to have the technology fail you. I'm trying to get more tuned into my plants but I still need a crutch ๐ Nice to have some reliable instruments now. Hopefully our troubles are behind us both ๐
@CannaScuzzyB, She sure is. She seems to be putting all that food/drink to good use though. I'm getting very excited seeing how well everything is stacking up. ๐
