This is an Illinois medical card grow, limited to 5 plants over 5". Planted from seed on 10/7/2020. Soil is Foxfarm Ocean Forest. Day 3 (10/10/20) update: misting with water daily, still waiting for sprout. Day 4: first three sprouts!!
4th seedling has emerged this week!! Replanted the 5th one on day 11 (a Skywalker) since it didn't sprout. Misting with water daily. D13 update: the three tallest sprouts (one of each strain) are about 2.25 inches tall and have growth forming at the first node. Hoping the 5th seed sprouts in the next few days.
Day 19 from seed for the 4 biggest plants, and 8 days since the Skywalker 1 re-plant (first seed did not sprout). Will be transplanting these to 5 gallon fabric pots with fox farm ocean forest soil next week. Lamp distance adjusted from 48 inches to 38 inches. Lux measured as 15k at canopy.
Transferred from Solo cups to 5-gallon fabric pots (w/ FFOF soil) on day 20. Plant height ranges from 3.5" to 5" for the first four plants (1x Skywalker, 2x Mango Smille, 1x Ewok OG). The larger Skywalker is already showing sex! The replacement Skywalker (10 days from seed) is still in a Solo cup. Will start some LST once the roots get established in the new fabric pots.
pH'ing tap water to 6.5 before watering.
11/1/2020 update: 3 of the plants are actively flowering! My first time with autos, do I give them nitrogen or flower nutes? Time flies!
Plants were about 8" tall before low stress training. Increased the dimmer on the Mars hydro tsw-2000 and measuring 31k lux at canopy. So far, so good!
Week 6 is wrapping up and the plants have been growing strong! All 5 are budding. The light (Mars Hydro TSW2000) has been lowered, now about 30 inches from canopy. LST is being applied where possible, these stalks are strong! I give nutes about once a week, with most waterings being PH'd water. This is also my first time trying the Stem Trainer product, you'll see it on Skywalker 3. So far it's kinda cool but might be a better fit for photo plants as I can spend more time training them before flower. https://stem-trainer.com/
Week 7 update: big move to the flower tent this week! More room (4'x4'), brighter light (kingbrite 480w), and less humidity (dehumidifier). The plants were a little thirsty for the pictures and were watered right after. All 5 plants are flowering and have strong stalks (almost tough to LST!). Only giving water as a few plants show clawing. Switched from 21 hour light cycle to 24. 38k lux at the canopy, I'll run this for a week and bring the light closer if needed.
All 5 plants are well into flower. The Mango Smile is a very sweet scent and can easily pass for mangoes! The Skywalker and Ewok OG have a really nice pine scent. Flushed each plant with a gallon of spring water. Overall the plants seem to be doing great.
60 days from sprout and Skywalker #2 has been chopped! Very short but dense plant, absolutely covered in trichomes, very fat and dense buds. Smells great with some hints of pine and skunk. The other Skywalker plant is tall and still flowering.. Maybe another month left? Will update with dry weight and smoke review. Was easy to grow, if a little crispy.
