I am using grow tent for drying of Dinamed CBD so this little monkey is under 35 w CFL currently.
In the pictures on day 4 I put it on windowsil cause there was lot of sunlight and in less then 10 min it bent towards the sun.
Also gave it 0.25 L of water on day 4 with 1 ml of Biobizz rootjuice
This week she was put under QB at around 60 W and increased to around 130 W at the end of the week.
One watering of 500 ml with 2 ml/l of Root Juice.
She started growing this week more rapidly like expected.
I had pests so I cleaned the tent and sprayed the plant with neem and put a couple of Ladybirds to work
Also, I transplanted in the final pot and buried the stem a bit so she can stand upright.
QB is at around 160 W currently midweek.
Lights lowered 60 cm from the canopy at the end of the week.
Put 2 Guerilla tabs 5 cm under soil, thinking about adding 2 more soon. But first to see how she reacts to these ones.
She is growing rapidly.
FIMing at 4th node done on day 21. This is the second time doing it, last time got two tops to let's see how this attempt goes.
2 days after she seems to continue growing rapidly and I think I have a chance at 4 tops, we will see at the end of the week.
Also reduced Lights to around 130 Watts and will increase slowly cause she was a bit shocked when put to 60 cm at 160 W.
Put 2 more tabs middle of week.
Lights increased to around 200 Watts during this week.
Lights at full power from the start of the week.
This week I gave only rainwater. 2 L two times this week. she looks very healthy and bio tabs are giving enough food.
Planning to do light defoliation soon and start LST. The plan is to start flowering after around 8 weeks so the next few weeks will be very important.
Decided to do a little defoliation of lower branches on the last day of week 5.
Added humidifier to keep the humidity around 60%, Also trying to keep VPD in the optimal range which should be 0.8-1.2 for the veg stage of growth.
Day 36 - Watered with 2.5 l of tap water left to dechlorinate overnight.
Day 39 - leaves looked thirsty and soil was medium dry. Gave her 2.5 l of rain water this time.
From the second FIM cut, there are 4 tops growing.
I did the second much bigger defoliation to remove all larger leaves that were covering the canopy and also leaves that were not exposed to much light.
Wanted to not stress her too much but then ended up with 2 defoliations in one week cause I left too much the first time. Still, she grew 5 cm in height.
She filled up nicely in the 3 days since defoliation.
Day 42 - She looks thirsty on the last day of week 6. She will need lots of water next week for that pot. Maybe nutes too. Calmag for sure.
Also watered once more this week with 2.5 l of straight rainwater, 5 ppm. Wanted to measure runoff but it was not enough water for that.
Day 45 - Watering with 5 l of rainwater with 5mL calmag added
Planning to do one more 5 l watering at the end of the week, maybe bit of biogrow added.
It would be ideal if I could flip her at the end of week 8 but I am prepared to keep her in the veg one month extra.
I want her to fill the growth area.
Day 49 - Watering with 5 l 50/50 mix of rainwater and tapwater with 1 ml of BioGrow added.
- Measured Runoof from last watering ph 6.5 ppm 1200.
She has no deficiency but grows a little slow cause she is so bushy and I always end up doing 1-2 little defoliations, there are also purple stems from being stressed.
I think I trimmed her nicely and she will fill the whole space during the next few weeks. Watering was 5 l twice and will need to be increased next week.
Day 58 7 l of rainwater with 1m/l ATA calmag ( runoff 900 ppm and 6.5 ph)
Day 63 5 l of rainwater with 3 m/l of biobizz grow.
Little defoliation at the end of week to remove sucker branches and new growth that is not needed.
It is becoming very hard to stretch her to cover the whole canopy while also having enough support for the weight of flowering.
- Slight yellowing on new growth with purple tips.
- Increased nutrients for the second watering of the week.
- from start of 2021 I'll flip her no matter what, and next time starting from at least 2 to max 4 plants.
so it will be 3 months seed to harvest. Being on one seed is just too much gamble, much slower, SCROG and LST take a lot of time.
It's either zinc or magnesium I would say. Do you have pink leafe stems? If so it's magnesium add some cal mag and aim for ~6.3ph to get a optimal conditions for magnesium consumption.
Hope you can fix your little issue.
Best regards, Finsch
Deficiency seems to be fixed by heavier feeding, correcting ph, and adding more calmag and a bit of foliar with Epsom.
Two 7 litre waterings middle and end of the week
ppm runoff 1800 and 1200 last watering.
A bit more nutes this week. She is looking healthy and next week when I find enough time I will defoliate her and try to flip as soon as she recovers from defoliation.
Big defoliation during the week and letting her recover a bit prune a little bit more and start flowering in week 14.
Also bigger feed this week, very high ppm runoff, 2500 if I remember correctly. Will add only rainwater next watering and measure again.
Ppm was very high last week so I decided to water with straight rainwater for a week.
The runoff ppm dropped from 2500 to around 1500 also she seemed a bit hungry so I'll stick to around 1200 ppm feed next week try to balance her and finally start flowering.
Lot of defoliation this week, but it is never enough.
Last week of veg,
Ppm runoff 1800 and ph 6.6
I don't like this SCROG net very much, I am thinking about removing it for the flower but we will see.
Also noticed some pests ( thrips, spider mites) but very little on some leaves at the bottom so I sprayed her
with neem diluted in water with soap used as an emulsifier ( made 5 l solution, sprayed around 0.75l until she was
soaking wet and with rest of the solution watered water)
At the start of the week, there were no flowers and at the end tons of them.
Feeding 2 times with 7l of nutrient solution at start and end of the week 1000 ppm cause when I fed few weeks before with 1200-1300 ppm tips showed burning.
A very strange thing happened during the last feed when I measured 3000 ppm on runoff and ph was wine at 6.5-6. I am thinking it's probably due to Guerrilla tabs activating in huge amount.
Will watch for burning and water with straight water in a few days to check runoff ppm again.
In the last week, smell changed. Very nice odour coming out of the tent every time I open it.
Cause of issue with very high ppm in last week watering I decided to water once with only 200 ppm water with a bit of calmag (runoff 1700) and
second 500 ppm watering with only flowering nutrients 4 mL BioBloom and 2 ml TopMax ( runoff 1000 ppm)
So ppm issue seems resolved and I'll try to aim for 1000 ppm for next watering.
Also two 7 litre waterings this week.
Day 129 watering 800 ppm runoff 1000
Day 132: defoliation to expose buds
Day 133 watering 740 ppm runoff 1600, ph fluctuating between 6.4 - 6,6 feed and runoff
Day 137: watering 7 l solution 6.6 ph and750 ppm, runoff: 1300 ppm
Day 140: watering 7l solution 6.5 ph and 800 ppm, runoff:1600 ppm
Doing little defoliations and tucking almost daily to expose more bud sites.
She is receiving enough nutrients, I see some burnt tips but not much, and the ppm on runoff is a bit high.
Leaves also look green and healthy besides some lower ones that are yellowing which would need to be removed anyway
cause they receive no light, but the plant is so smart and sucks the energy out of them and kills them.
Day 143 - Watering 7l solution tap water left to dechlorinate in sun with 3 mL Top-Max and 4 mL Bio-Bloom
Solution ph 6.6, ppm 650, runoff ppm 1200. I think I will feed the same amount of nutes and water in 3 days.
Can't be too sure cause it's the first time I am using bio tabs but I think runoff is that high cause of those 4 tabs. If not for them I would have to feed around 1500 ppm right now.
Day 146- Watering 7l solution rainwater with 3mL Top-Max, 4 mL Bio-Bloom, 1 mL calmag, and 0.6 mL BIo-grow
Solution ph 6.5, ppm 660, runoff ph 6.5, ppm 1500. It seems every time on 2nd watering of the week ppm is a bit high.
Next watering rainwater (0 ppm) bit of calmag and bio-bloom and top-max in regular doses which will be around 500 ppm or less.
Day 149 - Watering 7l solution rain water with 3.5 mL Top-Max and 4 mL Bio-Bloom, 1mL of calmag
Solution ph 6.7, ppm 600, runoff ppm 900, ph 6.5
Day 151 - Taking first photos of the week
Top buds started growing new white hairs. Last few days I started checking trichs a bit and they are few weeks away.
I think she will be ready around 10 weeks from flower like advertised.
Taking pics from trich soon and adding timelapse from last few weeks.
Day 152 - Watering 7l solution tap water with 3.5 mL Top-Max and 4 mL Bio-Bloom
Solution ph 6.5, ppm 670, runoff ppm 1400, ph 6.5
Day 155 - Watering 7l solution rain water with 4 mL Top-Max and 4 mL Bio-Bloom, 1mL of calmag
Solution ph 6.3, ppm 550, runoff ppm 1060, ph 6.3
looking at the trichs I think around 2 weeks until harvest.
Day 158 - Watering 7l solution rain water with 3 mL Top-Max and 2 mL Bio-Bloom, 0.5mL of calmag
Solution ph 6.6, ppm 350 runoff ppm 1100, ph 6.4
Looking at runoff it's good I reduced nutrients. I will start flushing from next watering. Thinking of maybe giving blackstrap molasses
for last few waterings. Will she how is ppm after next straight rainwater watering and decide.
Smells very strong right now and trich are still mostly clear with around 25% cloudy going towards 50%.
Day 161 - Watering 7l solution rain water 7.5 ph, 30 ppm
Water ph 7.5, ppm 30 runoff ppm 1040, ph 6.5
Day 165 - Watering 7l solution tap water with 3 mL Top-Max and 2mL Bio-Bloom
Solution ph 6.6, ppm 350, runoff ppm 1800 ph 6.5
Day 168 - Watering 7l solution tap water with 2 mL Top-Max
Solution ph 6.9, ppm 280, runoff ppm 500 ph 6.8
Planning to harvest next weekend. Trichs still mostly clear but clouding up.
Only watered with water this week and runoff ppm still shows around 1000. There is no burning so it seems Bio tabs did their job.
Removed the SCROG at the end of this week in preparation for harvest. Harvest will be tommorow at day 176 ( 71 from flower)
Trichosomes seem around 50% cloudy with around 25% amber and 25% clear.
Chopped her Day 71 from flower, completed budwash with 3 buckets solutions using filtered water and lemon juice, soda b and , hydrogen peroxid 3%, only using very low amount compared to Doc Budwash tehnique found on forums cause I didn't have more then 250 mL at home.
Weight is around 2.5 KG wet before washing.
Now trying to achieve stable humidity around 50%, 60 % and planning to start trimming i na few days....
Drying now, update pictures and dry weight soon, Wet weight 2476 g. I am surprised, expected a lot less. Seeing this I expect 400-500 g dry. Will be extremely happy if I cross 400g mark.
After 6 days of drying at 50% - 60% humidity trimmed and put in jars. Dry weight 291 g + 90 g very potent trich trim. So Total weight is 381 g. Will be using trim for edibles.
Looking back at this grow 2 years later I am kinda laughing at myself why I didn't flower this plant at week 10 and spent one month extra in veg. At least I gathered so many leaves for the tea 😂
