Not doing a res change until maybe day 10ish. Did pH down a couple times, had risen to 6.1, went back down to 5.8. PPM sitting pretty which I guess makes sense for this early. Going to wait for 6.2 until I pH down again as to not overdo it. Texted my cousin about it and he seemed to think it was fine. I moved the LED drivers outside the tent. Humidity is kinda lower than I want, but doesn't seem dangerously low. Res change on Friday 10/23. 100% GH trio formula, 925 ppm, 5.85 ph.

Beginning of week 3 and looking great! Stats from when I changed the res last Friday. I'm somewhat annoyed with how the plant hasn't stretched above the top of the net pot. I keep adjusting the leaves by hand but they keep getting crunched in there a little. Humidity has gone down, and I'm starting to wonder if my experiment of having a clean wet rag in a 10x20 tray was actually helping, hrmmm. Next week I should be ready for a top, I think. Trying to figure out exactly what I'm going to do for training. I'll keep thinking on it. Res change 10/31: 100% gh trio week 2 schedule again. 925ppm @ 5.8 Checked again in the morning up to 6.22 and it showed signs of what looks like nitrogen toxicity to me. So I diluted to ~650ppm and pH'ed to 5.8.

Topped on Sunday Nov 1st! Had bumped the reservoir's PPM down and she is looking better in terms of what I thought looked like nitrogen toxicity. I might aim for around 500ppm for this weeks' res change. I'm going to need to remove some fan leaves, but giving her a few days to recover from the top. I'll start with the stuff that's getting the least light, now. I removed two smallest lowest ones that were below other fan leaves on Wednesday (11/4). I added some microgreens to the tent for some company. They've raised the humidity by 5%, which was my goal to get some more humidity in there. She's starting to drink more water, and I added water on Tuesday and Thursday (no nutes, just RO water). On Thursday 11/5 I decided to start LST'ing. The fan leaves are quite mondo. They're bigger than the biggest ones on my biggest outdoor plant this year! ...So I'm afraid to chop those off, they seem important. So I decided to LST the best that I could, and tuck as much of the fan leaves where I can. Res change Friday 11/6: GH Trio week 3 @ 50%, still too high of ppm, came out to 750. Reduced it further to 625. Ph'ed to 5.8

pH/ppm from reservoir change. Currently water level falling, ec slowly dropping (down to 550 yesterday), pH slowly rising (6.1 this morning, I'll drop it down this afternoon or tomorrow). It pains me to trim the big fan leaves! But airflow is restricted and their size is covering up a lot of area that we need. I've been looking at a low of grows, and most stocky trained plants that I see, there's no fan leaves coming from the main stalk. So I removed a couple, and a couple remain. They're huge! Res change on Friday 11/13: did GH Trio at 50%, but 100% of armor si and calmag, came out to 850ppm. Knocked it back to 750ppm. pH'ed to 5.8.

pH/ec from Friday (11/13) res change. As of journal day (11/17) ec is down to 550 ppm. She's drinking a full liter of water daily, too. Not a ton to report as of now. Just tweaking the LST on the daily and trying to get more tops going! I'll see how she looks next week to determine when I'm going to flip. It could potentially be next week. Possibly the week after that. I also need to figure out if I'm going to scrog or not. Which also means I have to figure out if I'm going to modify a bucket with a drain / water level. It might be necessary soon, it's definitely getting incrementally more difficult to yank her around in the tent to lift her out of the water. Tried to get an undercarriage shot, but hard to show the scale of how thick she is, sooo thicc. Res change Friday 11/20: GH Trio week 3 formula at 50%, with. 100% of calmag and armor si. Came out to 800ppm, left it there. pH'ed to 5.8.

She's so bushy! I'm basically ready to scrog, I might be able to add the trellis net this week. I got the bucket with a level / drain all set (thanks to a kit from PA Hydroponics). I'm taking handfuls of leaves off of her daily, and she's still a mega bush. I think the cooler room is making the tent slightly cooler, which I'm happy about. Still unsure exactly when to flip, possibly next week.

Stats from res change last Friday. Now down to 350ppm, she's hungry. Can't wait to increase the feeding, half been considering an early res change. I still feel like I need to be more aggressive with defoliation, and maybe get a lollipop in. Tent is up to 60% humidity today, despite the room being at 45%, Hrmm. Upped the exhaust fan to 6/10, it is a rainy day, and it'll get drier and colder outside. I'm readied to scrog, I put together the drain into a bucket last week. I think I'll be ok to flip by this time next week. I feel like she could fill out the tent just a little bit more. Changed res early! Wednesday the 2nd. 90% of week 3 veg GH Trio, full armor si and calmag. Came out to just under 1250 ppm. The old res was at 290ppm! I feel like I overshot a bit, but, keeping it. pH to 5.8. Lollipopped on 12/4! Really happy with how much it opened up. Also not feeling like I took too much.

Scrog net added! Still unsure if I should flip or wait a week. I'm leaning towards waiting. Lollipop seems fairly dece. Almost thinking it needs another round, which another week of veg would help out with. Uuuugh, unsure on the stretch. She's drinking over 2 liters of water a day. Res change on Thursday the 10th, same as last week.

Flipping to flower on December 15th this is week one of flower. 63 days of veg. Have both lights turned on, and may have to adjust fans and whatnot. Res change on Wednesday the 16th: 100% of GH Trio "week 4 -- transition" (plus armor si and calmag) -- came out to 1180 ppm, just lower than I wanted, but, close enough. I'll let it chill there. Spotted pistils already on Friday the 18th. Day 4 of flower, nice!

Res change on Tuesday Dec 22nd. Did 100% of GH Trio (plus calmag and armor si) bloom week 2, "early bloom" came out to 1180 ppm even after adding an extra 20% of bloom nutes. Was hoping for a little higher. Last week my res pH kept dropping. I think I forgot to feed my left over nute solution from the previous res change. 😐 Maybe it's asking for higher nutes? I'm working on an automatic top off system. Got a pump hooked up to a smart power strip and have a google routine to pump a liter (or two) of water. Wanted to set it up so I can go cabin camping for a day or two. Update on 12/26, humidity seems high, just around 60%. Granted we had a warm up and rain. I'll keep an eye on it.

Res change yesterday 12/28: 100% GH Trio week 6 formula, plus armor si, calmag and hydroguard. Still came out to 1180 so I added 10ml bloom and 10ml micro to 3 gallons of water, got it to 1230, so I'm ok with that. The pH was been rising/stable for about 5 days and then started nose diving. Really low at res change (sub 5!), But I had let it get really low. Looking forward to a day 21 defoliation and lollipop. There's definitely a lot of shag on this plant, I have been conservatively removing fan leaves to try to get some more air flow. I have a circulating fan to add (to the floor, so hopefully it pulls in more of the room air which is like 35% RH), but humidity is between 50-60 since early last week. Probably needs a bit of more fan and some defol. Top off system worked for a 2 days / 1 night. I pH'ed RO water + hydroguard, 8 liters of it. Pumped a liter at morning, 2 in the evening. Res was at 5.9 and just low when I got home. Jan 1, looks like a possible calmag deficiency I'm seeing, damn. Rusty spots and some discoloration. First thought is because of the dropping pH that it's not picking it up? I upped the res to 6.2 and I'll watch it. Jan 2, got a tip from https://growdoctorguides.com/ guy on reddit! The doctor suggests to tune down to 1000ppm and to defoliate. Awesome. Starting to second guess the cal mag deficiency, so posted here and on reddit. Jan 3, big day. Defoliated -- tent open long enough to get a lecture from my wife haha, must've taken me almost two hours. Res change, 85% week 7 GH Trio + 100% cal mag and armor si. Came out to 1011ppm, right about where I wanted it. pH'ed to 5.8. raised the LED lights a couple inches.

I'm in about day 19 of flower and a deficiency just showed itself in the last day or so. It's in the last 3 photos of week 3 of flower in my journal. Any ideas on what it is and how I could mitigate the problem? Grow has been essentially flawless up to this point, thanks!!

Ur update intel is solid - if this is only presenting on a couple leaves than I wouldn’t up the calmag at all. If ur ph flux is only running low day by day than it could just be the imbalance with what the plant is taking in vs. What’s leftover in the res. She’ll be drinking a lot in week 3 of flower. Don’t change a thing and definitely give er a snip👍. Beauty knuckle on that bitch👌👍

Looks like it hasn't gotten worse since I saw the deficiency last week. Been fairly worried between having that deficiency and doing the defoliation. Slow and steady, trying not to change too much. pH looking good (slowly rising) after res change, trying to keep it juuust higher and let it get up a bit more before I tamp it down. I need to get a ruler out and double check the measurements. Jan 7th: Res has been stable (and slowly rising) up to today, then dropped from 5.9 to 5.5 from morning to afternoon, brought it back to 5.9. Considering a res change tomorrow, which is after 5 days. Otherwise been changing approximately every 6 days. Jan 9th: res change, same as last week, PPMs at 1020. Placing an order for a new RO membrane and filters, realized my membrane is tired (5yo, and plain water at 75ppm+). Thinking of trying to add nutrient solution instead of plain water when it starts dropping in pH to see how it reacts. Jan 10th: res change looks good, it crept to 6.0 overnight. Letting it sit pretty.

Looking decent, but not a lot of frosting up with trichromes yet. pH from last res change still stable / slowly rising. Seems my EC gets down to like 650ish and then just hangs out there. Unsure what that means, so far. Jan 13th: pH started dropping, so as an experiment I mixed a gallon of nutes (same as the res change) and did that for an evening feeding and we'll see what's up in the morning. Jan 14th: Still dropped overnight to 5.4. So, maybe that's not it. Always appears to be good after a res change, so, that's on tap for tomorrow. Jan 15th: Res change, GH trio week 9 / mid bloom @ 85%, plus calmag & armor si @ 100%. Came out to 780ppm. I'm ok that it's lower all said and done, another possibility is that the pH is dropping from too much nutes. pH'ed to 5.8 as per usual, and let's see how it lasts. Jan 18th: ec dropped slightly to 675 or so and has been stable there, and pH didn't even need an adjustment, basically hung out from 6.0-6.2 until it dropped to 5.7 tonight. I adjusted it up to 6.0 and I'll see where it goes. I keep feeling this is when I should res change, but every 4 days seems, a bit much.

No huge developments on blog day... Planning on a res change in the next day or two. Good news is that signs of deficiency aren't getting worse, maybe better. No more significant burn, either. Buds are getting frostier by the day! Jan 20: Res change! Same as last week. Came out to 980ppm. Decided to let it hang out there. pH'd to 5.8. Jan 22: pH just slowly rising on the res as expected. ppm has come down to low 600s and just kicking it there. Noticed this one leader cola is chonkin, so added a photo. Jan 24: Res started to drop in pH last night. So filling up RO for a res change today. Seeing the previous deficiency popping up here and there, might up calag through the week after the res change? Unsure. So far though I'm coming to terms with the more frequent res change, it's not costing me a lot. Res change Sunday Jan 24, same as last week, 950ppm. Been slowly working on "day 40 defoliation" and removing some jammed up growth and picking off some super low bud sites. Trying to just do a little bit a day. Tent is stinking up the house when it's open. I can't put my finger on what the terps smell like.

Been picking at the day 42 defol. Doing it very slowly, carefully. Should be just about done. Res change still holding pH. Buds starting to stack, looks like a lot of plant material! Let's hope I can hold. I'm guessing another month-ish of flowering before harvest, here's to hoping. Jan 29: Like clockwork, day 5 after res change, pH starts to plummet. Filling up RO water for a res change. Res change January 29th, still same as last week, GH Trio mid bloom formula + armor si and calmag and hydroguard. 980ppm and 5.8.

Fattening up! No huge updates. Just trying to hang tight. Need to get the loupe out and start watching, still a bit to go, though. Res change Feb 4: GH Trio chart "ripen" week at about 85%, full calmag, though. Came to 850ppm. Figuring it's time to reduce nitrogen, and maybe it's causing those stretchy tops of colas. I louped the colas, definitely some are clouding up. Maybe it is only 2-3, weeks left.

Res change on the 8th: same as last week. Seemed to drop pH a day early. I seem to have foxtailing, I'm guessing it's a combo of lights too close and maybe nitrogen too high. Lower bud sites look better. Trying not to beat myself up over it. Maybe a week or so left! Res change on Friday the 12th. pH started dropping on the 14th. Trichs are still mostly clear. Going to hold steady.

Getting closer all the time! Trichs are still mostly clear. I thought maybe this weekend would be harvest, but it might be longer after all. Patience is key! I'll keep monitoring. Fattening up nicely. Res pH has been starting to drop earlier. I'm just adding a lot of pH up and hoping for the best. Just want to get 5+ days out of a res before changing, feels reasonable to me. I won't be flushing, mostly based on the fact that /r/microgrowery screams and shouts that it's bro science. Res change Feb 18: 850ppm, still on GH Trio "ripen" formula, plus calmag, armor si and hydroguard.

I keep thinking "next week!" But I'm still waiting. Clouding up slowly. Not really seeing any amber yet. Not a lot of pistils curling -- granted I have some foxtailing from light stress (I think). Maybe next weekend? Maybe? Let's see. End of week 10 of flower right now. I realize blue dream is a haze cross, and I believe haze is long flowering, so, I think it makes sense. Wednesday Feb 23: Day 71 of flower, found a nanner. I nipped it off and added a photo, but I couldn't find another with 10 minutes of inspection. I'd love this gal to go at least another week if not more. So, I'll hope for the best and keep monitoring. Friday the 26: add a couple trichome pics from the cheapo microscope. Still clear on this sample, I think they're starting to cloud more on the tips. Haven't found anymore nanners!

Are they clouding up finally?! Finally getting a liiiittle bit of pistils curling. I'm watching like a hawk. Still a little frustrated with the foxtailing, but seeing it's my first indoor grow, first hydro run, and second over all grow -- I can't complain much. Let's see if she can finish up this week, or needs another. Not flushing. Wednesday March 3: Added a few microscope shots. Still waiting! March 4: Res change. Last week of GH Trio formula (that's not flush) I reduced calmag and armor si and it came out to around 650ppm, pH'd to 5.8. Finally seeing some fall colors coming through, woot! March 6: More nanners. I think it's chop time. It's maybe a little early, I want a more cerebral buzz, headier buzz anyway. And it's for sure riper than my outdoor was (where I live weather forces the chop). Added my final scope photo, and the nanners.

I wish it came out a bit denser. I know I made some mistakes, but overall... I'm really happy with the quantity. I way underestimated what it would weight out to, the trim job was enormous. 21oz / 595 grams of smokable! Plus trim that I didn't include. Have only trialed the scissor hash so far, it was good. Thanks for all the help and encouragement, growmies!
