Hey guys this is my Alaskan Purple from seedsman.
I've treated her pretty much the same as my other 2 diary submissions, they are all running along side each other after all.
Didn't want to have 4 plant diaries with all of them in veg. Soooo now I get to share the fun bits, let's see if this Alaskan Purple will produce some nice fat nugs.
I defoliated this week, it's the 2nd week as the diary says, flower production started on the 3rd day of the 1st week actually.
Plants are much more fragrant as of now.
I'm pushing the same fox farm nutes as I have been in the gorilla bomb and cakeZ. They adapt well and are just as hungry as the rest of the closet
The purple is showing great nodal stacking. Certain shots show the beginning of trichome production. So now I'm excited to see how frosty these ladies can get😁
i wanted to get some nice shots of these buds before they blew up
Performed a major defoliation on the plant, kin to a lollipop, less aggressive maybe. I needed some more light penetration deeper into the canopy, so the lower buds can ripen around the same time.
Will check in next week with some more bud developments,
So this alaskan purple has a unique smell profile, its almost berry like, hard to place it...super interested in the terp profile to build further so i can tell what that is.
Terpene, trichome and bud development looking spectacular. Looking forward to the oncoming weeks because this plant is surprising me at this point, I was expecting a standard grow until i saw another grow diary user get some pretty nice pictures.
Feeding once a week at this point, plants seem to love it. Installed trellis net for the oncoming fruiting weeks, I'm expecting some weight to be stacked on in a few weeks. Can't wait to keep you guys updated with the pictures and smell analysis, because i really don't know what that terpene profile is.
Mini update for my Alaskan PURPLE
Same nutes fed as previous week.
I mainlined this plant in the veg stage and one of the benefits of mainlining is longer and dense colas. The A. Purple is showing that much better than the gorilla bomb which i also mainlined.
Leaves are showing a deficiency i think it might be potassium due to lock out. Will keep it updated.
Sorry im running behind on these updates, this week was a troubleshoot week to determine if that potassium issue was solved with the flush.
The plant took nicely to the flush and was wearing its fall coat seen in the leaves.
The A. Purp still smells strangely sweet, i don't understand what the aroma is just yet.
Shes preparing to be ready, there's still some white pistils on the cola so I'm giving it another week and chopping on the weekend,
So the next update will be rapidly coming.
Dialed the nutrients back and i didnt water this week,
Decided to let the rest of the garden dry out in their pots till harvest.
Colas definitely firmed up days coming to harvest, those remaining white pistils started curling inwards 2-3 days after the previous update, that made me more confident that the girl was nearing ready.
I checked the Trichomes and it is exactly where i like it. Should be a potent heady smoke, notionally anyway :D😃😊
She was chopped this past weekend and her aromas were busting through the room, very flowery, very fruity like. Cant wait to smoke it and let you guys know more.
See you guys with the harvest update when these girls are done drying and the first pull is drawn👌🙏.
This plant performed like a beast, definitely unique grow for me because I've never encountered that aroma profile before.
The plants were overfed with the FF feeding schedule which resulted in nutrient burns through both the veg and flowering cycle but the fact that they made it all the way through shows that this A. Purple was a definite beast
I'm just a lil disappointed that it impacted my final photos 🙄 otherwise I would've pulled an even bigger yield if all things went fine.
I tried out letting the plants dry out in the soil before harvest, I don't mind it, however, dried photos aren't as great as the wet photos and I wasn't able to capture those😓
That being said, for the next grow definitely cutting the feedings all the way back, I want to get more airflow in the tent, so I'm planning on buying another fan and buying an exhale bag for the next grow.🤓🤓
