So I'm running all 3 of my FastBuds strains again as I just love the genetics and growth patterns of these plants as well as to justify purchasing new seeds. Since I've grown tired of posts on soil I'm switching to coco. Also I've tired of mixing nutes too so I'm going full organic dry amended coco in 4gal fabric pots. Should've been using this medium but hey better late than never. Germed this and 5 others with 100% germ rate. So 9/9 for FastBuds. MSNL and Seedsman can't compete with that so I think I'm gonna be growing strictly from @fast_buds from now on. Send some testers if you want and I'll grow those too lol. But seriously.. send 'em. Anyhow little SuperThrive and RO water and straight into the coco. Took a couple of days but they are both up although I think they're 2 different phenos already. We shall see... Nutrient ratios are done as tsp/g but you gotta sub tbsp for tsp. Basically a combo of 8 tbsp from different bags per pot giving 2tbsp per gallon of medium.

Not much to report this first week. Just spraying with pH 6.5 water when the coco dries out and looks like the nutrients are doing their job and not burning anything. These may be a bit slower starting than in soil but we shall see...

Still just watering at 6.5-6.8 since I want to preserve the microbialife that feeds my roots. There are definitely two distinct phenos of this strain. I've had 2 big girls and what is shaping up to be a runt that somehow has stayed yellow and overwatered without being watered but just a spritz here and there. May also be the new medium. Oh well, we shall have to see...

Well after the complete ruination of my current WCC by my cat last week leaving only 6-7 viable colas I was happy to see that this strain was showing potential to be the star of the show. Unfortunately as well as the one is doing the other is doing just as poorly. I mean c'mon how can one be healthy and look to be on a normal track while the other looks to be stunted and dying? They all have the same water and schedule albeit they get water proportionately to size. As I said the larger of the two should be the star of the grow but honestly at 3 weeks its still smaller than what I'm used to. I'll figure it out though, I always do. Beginner luck with the amended coco test run would've been nice but I feel like hardship can teach me more. We shall see...

So my largest lady continues to grow perfectly and took to some light LST. The runt has come back and looks to be back on track so both of these will survive the early pH problems and look happy after the reamendment of the coco this week. For ratios and all check the video in the FastBuds Talent Search.

Thank goodness for this strain or I'd have been ready to give up on this grow method already. Luckily the fact that this strain grew okay led me to really try hard to identify the underlying issues vs going straight back to soil. The Happy Frog side was able to push past the hot ferts and show decent growth. I'm letting it grow naturally while the Dr Earth side is having to be tied down to keep from pushing my lights out of range of the other plants. Had WCC2 not been so stunted I would have been able to positively say this is the most consistently beast auto strain I've tried as the soil one was 3 ft and bushed out before the cat got in it. This strain is solid if you need a yielder. WCC1 is nothing compared to WCCsoil but its still gonna be a respectable plant even after all the adversity of this run. Would love to try again once my system is dialed in and producing like my soil grows.

These ladies are the savior of this run. I've lost half the rest of the bunch tinkering around with this organic coco grow but both of these survived even with the hot Happy Frog fertilizer that killed 2 other plants. Left that one to grow normally while I LST the other since it has much more side growth. Hard to believe they're the same strain. Anyhow, just waiting to see how the stretch now that the pistils are out...

Well even though the rest of the ladies from this run are either dead or looking like death these two ladies each took their stress and nutes and fought through them. Very hardy strain to be flourishing with all the adversity. Fed this week but stuck with Dr Earth for both since the Happy Frog likes to burn shit up. The pic from day 47 shows the new little Amnesia plant that I altered my mix for adding in 25% soil. She is off and running so when my testers all arrive they'll be going in that mix. These two are setting up to flower so hopefully the budsites can stack up pretty quick so I can get some sort of yield out of this run. We shall see...

So they're stretching and preflowers are popping up. I did some crazy LST on the larger one to keep the canopy even for flowering. Basically I've made a curly pig tail shape at the base of the stalk and now I've folded the main completely in half and the cola stood back up in the middle. This strain takes all forms of training in a spectacular fashion. Amazing genetics here folks. The other one I've let grow in the natural Christmas tree shape just for comparison and the monster plant from the first run finishes this week so yeah all three of these seeds produced in all circumstances and degrees of stress. Fastbuds killed it with this strain 👏

Sorry for the wait on all the updates from this mediocre coco run. Anywho this lady exploded with growth once I dialed everything in and is like 3 feet tall now. All my early issues really slowed things down so skipping all those updates throws my weeks off. These are actually closer to week 15ish and this lady here just really started to flower. She's been in preflower for weeks and the stretch was a thing of beauty. I'd begun LST but gave up on the work as I've been busy with my 2 new 2021 tester runs featuring 12 brand new strains. Check those out and stay tuned for the results of this run...

She's really starting to fill in nicely with her characteristic chunky nuggets comprising larger long finger buds all down the stem. Very sativa looking structure for an indica dominant strain but all phenos are growing the same so far. Its very dense as well yet somehow looks so fluffy. Anywho she'll most likely be finishing up in the next few weeks and won't require any last minute worm castings. Fade is starting nicely so we shall see how she finishes up strong... She's a monster plant with a main cola the size of my forearm. Smells sweet and slightly fruity. Can't wait to harvest and smoke this organic bud vs the one I grew previously with liquid nutrients. Bet this one is so much better smelling and tasting as has been my experience thus far with organics. We shall see... This update is actually covering the last two weeks of this grow including the two dark days that I'm currently in before I chop tomorrow so... She turned out a monster with huge, sticky, super frosty, sweet/lightly fruity/ earthy smelling buds that are tantalizing to all the senses. Went totally organic this time and the results speak fir themselves. I'll never bottle a nutrient for my ladies ever again. Shout it from the mountaintops: ORGANIC BABY!!! Harvest results coming in the next couple of weeks depending on how slow I can get her to dry with the wonky humidity levels around here. We shall see...
