This will be the second time I start this strain, it’s gone great so far so let’s do it again!
Started off with 24 hours in a glass of water then into a paper towel, then once the taproot was about half an inch I transferred her into a coco pellet. Once she’s broken the soil it’ll be into the tent.
Day 3
Looks like it’s time to up pot her and get her under the light.
Into a small pot today, sprinkled a bit of mycorrhizal fungi in to help with shock. Fingers crossed all goes well.
End of Week 1
Not much happening here. Looks healthy so am assuming that the plant is rooting well in the new pot. I will come in with a very light dose of nutrients on the next watering.
Upped the nutes for this feeding. She’s looking really health so far. First leaves are out and starting to take off!
I’ve been worried about a few small markings on the leaves of these young plants. They look to be very similar to which ever pest nearly destroyed my Lemon Pie. I’ve been spraying every few days with whatever I used to save the lemon pie so fingers crossed all goes well!
She’s the only young plant that is still looking strong out of this grow. I’ve struggled with the freezing temps this time. But i have learned for next time
Real change of plans now with her. With other buds drying in the tent she’s been moved over to a cupboard. Being the only real surviving one of the three I started this run I plan to keep her in the 5L pot. She is going to stay in the cupboard over Christmas time and the tent is going to come down for a short while.
She looks healthy and looks like she’s just starting flowering, a bit late I wonder if the change of conditions may have slowed her down, I’m not sure of the temps and humidity in there. she’s going to have little to no attention over the next few weeks other than the occasional feeding so I don’t expect much from her.
Disaster!
I haven’t been able to see the plants for almost 3 weeks after catching Covid. This one looks like it hasn’t faired too well but we don’t give up. I had someone watering the plants for me but no nutrients. I’m guessing that’s why she’s crisped up so much. We will see, I’m back now and she’ll be getting some nutes on the regular. Fingers crossed we can get some nice bud.
She’s fattening up well, I reckon a week or two more of feeding and then flush. She may be small but this is the nicest smelling Sour Diesel I have grown.
I will definitely be growing this strain again, I also want to try some of the Gorrila Cookies from fast buds also.
And so the flush begins. 2 weeks from now it will be time to chop and hang this girl. Unfortunately the photos aren’t the best but she is coated in tricomes. She smell amazing!
Continuing to flush, she’s covered in crystals and really starting to get denser nugs. Not much longer I think another week and then into darkness and a cooler room for a few days before chop
Moved into darkness for 2 days before I chop her, I can feel the nugs have become more dense I think she’s pretty much ready. Hopefully she’ll pack on some more tricomes while she’s in dark!
Not that impressive, buds are quite airy except for one or two which are better but not dense nugs like I was hoping for. I still love this strain, the colours and growing it is good fun. Maybe again one day
