TheBelgian The start of a new growth (feminized - photoperiod).
Brand: Zamnesia Seeds
Genetics: 50% Sativa/50% Indica
Parents: Chem's Sister x Chocolate Diesel
Flowering Time: 8-9 weeks
THC: ~26-28%
CBD to THC: 1 to 71.4
Height (Indoor): 150cm / 59.05inch
Height (Outdoor): 190cm / 74.8inch
Personal estimations:
For this growth I will be applying HST to keep her smaller (below 100cm / 39.37inch ).
Due to the planned applied stress, time of the year (start winter - slightly lower temperatures indoors), I'm guessing around 9-12 weeks.
As this is my first GG growth, I'm pretty curious to see, if the seed lives up to its sticky name.

TheBelgian As winter is coming, so is it causing a delay on progress. Lost one additional week with germinisation and I had to improvise with the heating elements to cause it to grow some roots.
No pictures or blog for the first week (just the same plant only 2 small solar leaves, so you won't be missing anything).
Next time when starting a growth during the cold months, I'm going to invest potentially in a heated growing pad or some better climate control.
Most likely this won't be the best growth I've ever had, so I'm scheduling to grow this strain again during summer (to show it's true potential).
Next week: explanation on the soil composition and growth setup

TheBelgian The plant is ok: I just woke her up to make some pictures, that's why she might look droopy on these pictures.
I'm growing with a Zamnesia smart pot this time, and I am using Plagron only products for the soil.
There is a 1cm layer of Plagron Euro Pebbles at the bottom (for drainage and to prevent roots from trying to dig in there) and top of the soil (for the first week to prevent too much water evaporation).

TheBelgian Frack I Missed it :)
I put the lady on her nutrient schedule (aiming at 15w total).
Removed her protective barrier as her stem no longer needs protection.
First time ever for me, to apply the FIM technique. Curious to see how that will work out.
Next two weeks will be crucial (most likely some Nitrogen additives will be added, starting next week).

TheBelgian Last week I fimmed her, but I believe I did it incorrectly by not bending down the top nodes.
This week I topped her instead. See the pictures, explains the situation better.
Started providing supplies for blooming phase, will initiate the progress next week or the week thereafter.
She seems to handle the stress quite well. Must admit, that the GG has some biiiigggg solar leaves.
Might cut off one for my collection early to dry it out and mount it on the wall (if it fits the photo holder).

TheBelgian She recovered pretty well.
She is thick (the stem) and very bushy (the leaves), so giggity giggity alllrrrriiiiggghhht ;-D
Also the colours of the leaves are still perfectly fine.

TheBelgian Still delaying blooming for a while, I want the two new main stems to be a little bit bigger and stronger before kicking it in.
Remarkable how much water she needs on a daily basis compared to other strains. It does make sense due to the amount of leaves.

TheBelgian Started 12-12 light schedule.
Please stop growing in height :D
At this rate, I will have to HST or Supercrop her again, to keep her in a good shape for the lamp to plant distance.
If she looks drowsy, it's an evening picture (just woke her up, bad for the schedule I know).

TheBelgian So yeah, she keeps on growing.
In the process of ordering a bigger tent, will be going for a 2m high tent.
Some leaves are getting light/heat burned. Topping does not seem to stop her.
Starting to regret that I gave her nutrients during vegetation phase.
Que sera sera, whatever will be will be smoked, the future's not ours to see.

TheBelgian So I switched from an HS60 to a Secret Jardin HS100 grow tent.
Hard to tell anything about last weeks growth: the distance to growth light was non existing, and therefore had to order a new tent.
It's pretty spacious now, so I actually might add some peppers as well in there.
Performed some defoliation on very young stems at the bottom. In the upcoming days, I might perform some additional defoliation.
Just a matter of observing, what is usefull to keep, and what would be consuming plant resources (the mini low hanging fruits).

TheBelgian Yippie ka yee, we are almost there.
Only a couple more weeks, a new harvest is in sight.
Lots of tops, lots of buds. Extremely curious on what the end result is going to be in amount and potency.
No not need for any introduction. GG is the Ferrari of the 420.

TheBelgian See the contrast picture of a random sample on ripeness (you want them to be full black in contrast mode).
I can totally recommend mixing wet and dry trimming.
It's been a while since updating this diary: harvested her and let her buds drying for 2 weeks, all has been clipped and the jars are full
Update after curing: Quality wise this is the bomb!!! It will knock you off your feet and into the clouds, as if you are on a sunny secluded island vacation sitting at the beach, total relaxation.
Wow! È altissima!
Complimenti!
Io ho lo stesso seme, sono una settimana indietro, le ho piegate più volte per mantenerle basse, questa genetica è bella, forte e cresce bene!
Stasera aggiornerò il mio diario, passa a vedere...
