This be a retroactive week 2 update with Gelato OG. The quick Deets (Days 8-15):
The Good:
-Looked terrible at first and then just blew up with tremendous vigor. Same change and transplant to Super Soil by BlueSky w/ the same amazing results. They took off and I'm feeling really good about where she is right now.
The Meh:
-Strange markings. I felt maybe I got some water on a fan or something and it burned in, but the mutation persists on new sets and/or a few blades here and there. It's a non issue and I've gone through her with a fine tooth comb multiple times. She's fine, just got some weirdness going on.
-Stretchy and going to be big. Time to practice some LST and corkscrew this little one a bit, in order to try and achieve an even canopy. We'll see how that goes, haha😀
Notes of the Week:
-Got sick of doing manual slurry tests that were just a very rough estimate of soil pH. They worked well enough for awhile, but with issues I've had in the past 3 grows with an "off" medium, I just don't want to guess anymore and purchased a BlueLab Soil pH tester with Dibble built in. This and a new BlueLab Digital Liquid pH tester have made for a more confident grow, now. Not guessing and checking anymore, but have solid reads and calibration with this set👍.
-On pot up I decided to drop the Bone Meal this round and move to Dolomite lime instead (sparingly). With the P/Cal issues I had in grow 3, I would like to avoid any root zone blockage that may occur do to excess. Miicrobial mass was also purchased for this reason and is being used intermittently (usually half dose) to help break up any compounds building at the zone, and making them more bio available to the girls. I picked up this tip from @Nor_Cal_Kannabliss who walked me through using my first super soil and how to use what's there before jumping into synthetics or other nutrient lines. Works like a hot damn NorCal, thanks!😃
-Have two tent units fully operational now (except one has no lamp😅) and we are expanding. In current talks for a new peice of lighting tech that I'm really hoping goes through, so I can start using the second unit and amp up production. Both these units were built to the exact same specs... except for ones carbon filter exhaust (425 CFM vs 390 CFM). Acclimated and automated in the exact same way as well. These units will hopefully be used for future product testing and equivalency tests between lamps, nutrient lines, soils, etc... Just stuff to experiment with!
-Plan to start cloning and working out my first SOG grow once the ACMPR license comes back. Something I've always wanted to do, but didn't have access to that many plants before. So! Hopefully in a few months I can start my first 12-16 plant SOG on 4-5 week Veg.
That's it, that's all. Thanks for checking out Week 2 and I'll see you real soon for Week 1 and the girls current state as we are about to end Week 4 of Veg👍. Equipment, devices and breeder notes will be listed within Week 1 or Germination week (if I decide to do a Germ week update...). Cheers and happy trails folks!👋✊
Wow! Such an amazing job already 👏 and a special thanks to my new friend for the shout out! I'm glad we could turn that frown upside down @Exotic_Seed 💯 good luck with grow! 👊
@JinksyGrows, shipping nuts right now. Xmas is coming up and I think I broke the top of my mailbox checking every 5 minutes 🤤 mine just came Friday so yours should not be to far behind 👍 super excited to be growing with the community 💯
Looking very happy healthy and strong. Very well organized looking and shaped. Keep up the amazing progress. Good luck stay safe happy growing cheers!!!!!
Congrats on the affiliate team membership (not sure how this works but I think it means you're sponsored now,) awesome! Congrats on the new light, too! Looking forward to the posts on it!
@SymphonicBudz, Howdy! Thanks a tonne my friend🙏. Lamp came in yesterday and running initial tests. It is a sponsorship and one I was after for a loooong time😅. Something I believe in and Canadian made💪. Will post pictures next retroactive update.
@Buddha2, I do have a couple clip on fans with one over each driver. But I feel it's the new room I'm in. Much smaller and heat builds/insulates quickly. Might need an AC unit when I commission the second unit.... Its gonna get pretty warm in ther 😅.
@Med_in_Tropic, It does and that's gotta be the difference. UVA and deep/far red that we can only see through lenses. The high frequency penetration is closer to sun light than the SF's. If I throw UVB in, my pets are set for life😅. Oh, and the plants too I guess, lol!
@JinksyGrows, does the set up has invisible spectrum in it?
My black dog does like sun bathing and its not for the warmth. Some dog beauty secret I think.
@Med_in_Tropic, Haha, it was a surprise because the dog never, ever comes downstairs. Now he just hangs around the room waiting to get in😄. I trust they know far better than me when it comes to the lamps quality. Animal validation👊
heloo... I dont think its your fault not to log off the site... everytime i try to log off... there is a error message.. says.. unable to do this...
But back to the Ladies.....
