Living soil amended with mycorrhiza, additional perlite, gaia green 284 bloom and watering with a microbial mixture every two weeks.
The chempies will be transferred into 5gal pots after two weeks.
The Strawberry Jerry or Zkittles seed was found in nug from one of those strains. I'm hoping its the sbj...the most strawberry strain I've got my hands on. Absolute soaring sativa high with super anti munchies. Yes...anti, takes away hunger. Very social and long lasting high.
Anyways, that seed will be transferred into a 3gal smart pot after two weeks.
Learned a couple lessons...
Fill solo cups all the way with soil and veg a bit longer before moving to final pot...orrr just germ to final pot.
Don't mix up the labels!!! Makes for more interesting grow now as a positive.
Hard to keep humidity above 33% in this tent without a humidifier. Have a towel hung up that sits in a container full of water, slowly pulling it up and evaporating.
Like what I see. Chempie #1 has been topped from the sixth node to the third. No changes being made to other two girls. Hit the water with some Microbial Mass.
Taking the steps towards my first mainline. Chempie#1 is trekking steadily in that direction. Chempie#2 is growing very slowly compared to #1. Only performing LST on it for now. Zerry is definitely the winner in every which way when it comes to the photo tent. Vigorous is the word. Has been topped once and LSTd down all around. Not sure if it is a she. Looked into some ways to see early signs, doesn't seem to show any, even when using a jewelers loupe.
The ladies in the photo tent are not giving any issues, hopefully I can keep them happy.
Zerry is going to be grown out to triple the height and then flowered. Meaning the others will have to be happy with the size they are at. If this thing is a male that's gonna be shittttaaaay.
Big news of the week was finding out Zerry is a female! CP#2 is giving issue and its hard to tell of its over or under water. Just over night she kind of went more south as the others keeping doing better. Will test some theories. Her roots were badly mangled during the initial transplant. Couple weeks and we flip the switch.
Well CP#2 had a rough life from the get go that has no come to an end. I've let her nurse for over 8 days with no signs of healing. A super tight water regiment combined with soil aeration techniques did not render results.
I will be replacing her with something fun...
CP#1 has now entered it final stages of veg of where I want her to be. Plant tends grow at different rates all over.
The ladies are in their final shape. Going to let them heal and veg for two more weeks before flipping to flower. The humidity is pretty low in this tent, sitting around 30%
Final shapes are now formed and will be given a week to let the tops face up and ready themselves for flower. They will both be hit with a heavy defoliation midweek before 1212.
Hit these ladies with a heavy defoliation and finally shaping, they go into the flower tent in 36 hours.
I'll give them two additional days to fill out and flip.
On to flower!
Alright the moment is here! We're officially into flower mode. Been a long and very educational experience with the multiple training methods employed and logged. Lets goooo
Laid some super crop down before the girls got to far into flower. Liking what I'm seeing right now. Watering once daily, the chempie can be finicky, a bit sensitive to how much she receives.
Both ladies got a top dressing of power bloom and are regularly rotated for equal...lights. chempie was heavy defoliated and seems to be responding well. Zerry...still not sure if zkittles or strawberry jerry.
Let them get thirssstttyyy this time around. The chempie seems to get thirsty much quicker now, but hangs on pretty well. Zerry doesn't seem to show nearly as much, looks good even after three days dry.
Chempie has a dopey look...and the most resin formation. Zerry is starting to flower a bit more aggressively now. Selectively defoliating when necessary.
The resin on the Chempie is starting to really build up now, the Zerry isn't behind. A little burn on lower leaves of the cp but thats alright as it is a finicky plant. Defoliation tomorrow.
Been messing around with nutes each feeding (yea, risky) and so far they've handled. The chempie is definitely a bit more sensitive. Buds are starting to smell...
A bit of this a bit of that. Pretty standard week. Less nutes in feeding. May hit them with a spike of PK next week to see how they react. Each have a distinctive smell and look. Lovely.
