I actually do 3 germination methods: - Starting with a glass of water for 24 hours (until they sink) - Then I move them to a damp paper towel for 3 days to sprout (in a ziplock half closed, dark warm space) - Once they've sprouted a little I move them into rockwool cubes in a humidity dome for a few days to get their leaves.

They are growing very slowly. I need to get a warming pad. Not sure how much I should be watering them...

I moved them into these solo cups. In hindsight I wish I put them into netpots instead of the solo cups, but will just have to be careful transporting them to their DWC buckets when it's time. I used hydro clay as a substrate for the cups and put a couple holes in the bottom to ensure that I do not overwater. I used a syringe to add 20ml water daily. Still growing super slowly. I wonder if it is a seed issue, or because I am a noob...

- I have no room in my tent while I bring my final soil plants to flower. So, I have gone back to my old setup. I cannot moderate air temps and humidity as well, which is frustrating, but hopefully i can get them into the tent sooner rather than later! - So far I have been running the air pump on 1/2 for about 10 mins twice a day. I am not sure if this is too much, or too little, or anything. Open to advice! - I have used a smaller amount of nutrients this time to ease them into it since they haven't had any up to now. - It is not easy to get HydroGuard in Canada so I am using a Clean Root solution form my local hydro shop. It is supposed to keep everything super clean, and my roots super white. - Planning to change the water weekly and up the nutrients. - The seedlings still in cups are there because i only have 1 more bucket and because they were all from seeds found in some bud. So, I don't want to waste a lot of time and energy to find out they're male...

Hey, Looking at your diary, Are you running DWC and top feed? That would be a great combo as my first recommendation would be to rinse the clay every week or so so prevent salt buildup. The other critical things to control, in my opinion would be solution temp and ph. Ph being a given, I'll leave at, maintain between 5.5 and 6.5. Solution temp is critical to avoid mold and increased reaction speed of your solution. Think of your bucket as one big chemistry experiment, colder temps result in your nutrients breaking down slower. 17 to 21celius is a good range. Finally, these unwanted reactions can create compounds that the plant has trouble absorbing. To avoid this, every couple weeks, remove half the solution and discard to remove half the complex salts. This is a partial list but, to me, the most important. I do not use any type of hydro guard or peroxide and my solution is cristal clear with no smell. I keep my solution at 19C. I hope this helps,
