This is my first grow ever. I am growing all organic, and will be doing some LST to see what I can get from this plant. I will sing nice songs to it, and give it little massages from time to time. Hope it turns out good! :)
How far away I should have my lamp from my week old seedlings? I think it has something to do with the PPFD for my lamp (TS600), but I have no idea what it means. The lamp is set right at the very top of my tent now and is 32 inches (81cm) away. See photos in week 1.
No further than 24 id say for the light any less than 400 is death to plants seedlings can actually handle quite a bit of light given that the other things are dialed in and since its led less likely to cause burn
I asked a question about light distance & moved my lamp down to 24” away from 32”. It was only there for 2 hours but now tips of the leaves have curled and they look a little different colour in places, I think I burned them. Will they repair themselves? I don’t have a dimmer

I'm not seeing anything out of ordinary atm. Seedlings wiggle and wrinkle while they grow and sometimes the leafs have weird shapes and dents but they will grow out of it for sure. Also if the light intensity changes the plant will need some time to get used to it properly but nothing to worry about
Continuing LST and am starting to see a lot of what will be dominant tops, the canopy is evening out where the lower branches are catching up to the original main top. I sprinkled some Mycorrhizal Fungi on the soil that will hopefully infiltrate the medium enough to be effective. The plant is really looking good and healthy as far as I can tell, although because this is my first grow I really dont know what I should expect.
I am seeing some little white finger things which from what I read are pre-flower pistils, hoping they dont start to full-on flower until next week so they get a bit more time to veg first.
Hey folks, I just noticed some kind faint yellow dots appearing on a couple of the oldest leaves on the Elixir. Any idea if its something to be concerned about? It's my first grow and I have no idea what it could be. Are they just old? Nutes? Disease? Temp? Humidity?
72% is quite high for this stage of growth, 60% would be much better. Those spots on older leaves are quite common. Things to check aside from adjusting humidity would be runoff ph......remember in coco you want to be at a lower ph than if you were growing in soil, I try and keep my ph around 5.9 plus or minus .2
But the plant looks good, and if the problem doesn't worsen after you've made some adjustments you can pinpoint what the problem was (adjust one thing at a time, making note of if the plant responds positively or not). Happy growing.
Plant started looking a little hungry as far as I could tell, so I top dressed the medium with about 3 tbs of 2-8-4 and 1 tbs 4-4-4, and 8 tbs worm castings, watered about 500ml at a PH of 6.2, continuing LST, and defoliated just two leaves. The plant looks to be doing good and I noticed it seems to be stretching out a little where the bud sites are, which is terrific! Super excited and enjoying this process very much.
Starting into week six today, plant is looking health and is getting a nice shaped to it, I’m still doing a little LST to get light to some of the smaller bud sites. Watering about 1 litre or a bit more every around 48 hours at a ph of between 6.2-6.8. Snipped a couple of large fan leaves that were blocking lots of light.
Colas are starting to come together from the bud sites and put on overall weight, I’m happy with how the plant is doing. Gave it a final feed of 8tbs worm castings and 3tbs 2-8-4 power bloom Gaia Green, will be the final feed and it will just get water from now on.
Good week, did quite a bit of defoliation, the main cola is getting bigger but I was hoping to see more growth on the other bud sites. Watering with a ph of between 6.2-6.8 from the top and the bottom without any run off about every 48 hours or whenever the top inch of soil is dry. This is my first grow and I would say it’s already a success, but I do hope the buds get bigger in the next couple of weeks. Would love to get 30g or more from this plant but I don’t really know.
Flushing a bit this week and letting the leaves turn yellow on purpose so I know all the nutrients are used up in the soil. Gonna let it plump up a bit more for maybe another week and let it dry out before I harvest it.
Just a few more days now, tomorrow I will put the plant into 2 days darkness before chopping it down. Some of the lower buds could be fatter but overall the plant looks ok. I was hoping for more of a monster but then again this is my first grow. Next time I will do a couple of things differently.
