I soaked one seed in Vitathrive and water for 24hrs.
Then moved into paper town in a ziplock bag.
I kept it in darkness for 48hrs total until half and inch of tap root was exposed.
At this point I transferred to her 3 Gal pot.
Pre mix for the pot was:
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Cup (16 Tbsp)
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 12 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock: 3 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 2 Tbsp
Great White: 2 Tbsp
Micro Grow - Root Multiplier: 1 Tbsp
Worm Casting: 2 Cups
Coco Coir: 60%
Perlite: 30%
She has shown some good growth this week as she pulls towards the light.
As the leaves continue to stretch, that nice lush green colour is really coming in.
I will be giving her a water soluble shot of great white next week.
This week has gone fairly well. It's growing at pretty steady rate, however its growth is slower than my other plants in my tent.
She is a very thin plant and maybe due to my light being so far away from her.
I gave her:
Molasses: 1 Tsp
Epsom Slat: 2 Tsp
I just watered her so the fan leaves are quite saggy. They'll perk back up.
I should be switching the light cycle to 12-12 tomorrow and feeding her.
I gave her 1 Tsp of molasses this week in addition to her root builder.
I turned the light up to 300W and dropped it to 28 inches. Lowering the light has seemed to work well to slow down her stretch.
I switched her to 12-12 five days ago so its nearing a week into flowering.
Humidity this week has been a bit tough to control. I have a bucket of water in my tent and its range is between 45 - 60%RH at any given time.
I defoliated all the remaining large fan leaves to allow all the lower nodes to get direct light exposure.
I top dressed her with a good feeding:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 2 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Great White - 1 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
She is doing well considering the small area in my tent it has to grow.
She is showing sex this week so should start producing flower soon.
Her water intake has not changed this week and may be due to lack of air flow in the lower canopy.
I defoliated and cleaned up the lower section.
I gave her molasses at a rate of 1 Tsp per Gal of water.
I defoliated some lower stems and leaves because they were well below the main canopy in my tent and not seeing light.
The white cotton ball are popping.
No change to water intake.
All is good this week.
This girl has trichomes forming on her fan leaves as well as the bud sites.
I turned the light up to 400W and the water intake has increased.
I will likely be feeding her next week.
Overall a good week!
Things are good this week.
The trichomes on this girl just keep coming.
My light is now running a full power (500 Watt).
I top dressed her with:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
She has shown good growth this last week.
These buds are stacked with calyxes and trichomes.
I did not feed her molasses this last week.
Some of the lower fan leaves are starting to fade.
Some of the pistols are starting to turn light brown.
Growth has been good this week.
I have not been able to pin point the smell yet.
I fed 1 Tsp of molasses in a gal of water.
I tested run off this week and it was much lower then it should have been. Sitting around 5.5 - 5.6 PH. I've been watering between 6.3 -6.5 PH so i'm surprised it was that low. I'll be giving it a few waters at 7.0 to raise the PH.
Overall this week has gone well.
Look those calyxes on her. They just continue to stack. Very unique.
The trichomes are clouding over so I think i'll be starting the flush this coming week.
I turned my light down to 400W since were starting into the final weeks.
What a unique bud structure. It's like rose heads stacked on top of one another.
The trichomes are clouding over but no amber heads yet. I figure she has another week and we should begin to flush.
The nitrogen is also starting to fade gradually.
You can really see how little room this plant had to grow hahaha. I still believe she will finish with some high quality product.
She is coming along well. I found my first few amber trichomes so the flush is now underway. It's getting 2ml per litre of Advanced Nutrients - Flawless Finish. I expect to let her go for another week and then Chop Chop.
Such unique bud structure. The fan leaves are starting to show some very interesting fade. The trichomes have matured and are showing some good amber colour. I will be giving water tomorrow night for the final time and then 24 hours darkness and chop chop.
To start, this plant was not grown in optimal conditions. She was the youngest and smallest of everything in my tent and therefore was always overcrowded.
Flush was done with PH down water and Flawless Finish for a full 14 days.
Final Yield was 117 grams of bud.
Of all the FFTs i’ve grown, this one has definitely produced the most trichomes. These fox tail buds themselves grew fluffy but quite large. Could be a good one for concentrates.
The aroma appears to be sweet with hints of lemon. The tastes is slight hints of lemon and finishes with an earthy flavour. It produces a good amount of resin.
The smoke is not as clean as I expected given the 14 day flush.
This one would be great for daytime. I can still be productive but it does not last long, maybe an hour on average.
Overall this is not my favourite Fast Buds grow but I can not put this solely on the strain. I would like to try this one again and do it properly to give a proper assessment. Despite the poor growing conditions I also believe this one may have had a root issue mid grow due to lack of air flow down below. I had to pick up another fan to remedy this but unfortunately the damage was already done.
I dried this one in my tent, giving her a full 14 day dry time at 60RH and 70 temp.
