Mar 6 - leaves lighter shade. I thought pH was high or underwater but I talked to local hydro store today and he says to double up cal mag a few feedings so that's the plan. he says it's not pH from photos. that's good news.
(9pm 2 litres / 1.7 ml Cal mag)
also new 5 gallon water jug at 6.4 (lower than last)
pistols increasing nicely. smells very fruity which is way different from the first grow where it was very gassy.
dropping floranova grow and only using floranova bloom from here on in after cal mag feeding.
slowly removing handful of leaves here and there.
next Sat week 4 for big defoliation 21 days
Mar 8 - 1.5 l water/1.4ml cal mag only.
today is day 16F
Mar 10 - leaves dark, burn? regardless using only bloom now. 1.4 bloom/2 litres water today.
Whatโs the rationale for putting it dark for 24 hours before flipping?
About scrog, the point of scrogging is so you can flatten out the top layer so the top gets even light all over. If you bring your scrog net up and allow stretching vertically, you defeated the purpose of scrogging. You need that on the top layer that way they get used to it and when they start stretching, you tuck them under the net so itโs even and spread them horizontally.
Other than that sheโs a healthy girl.
@MaryJaneUSA yes that's a good idea for the new nodes/lst. already she's way busier and I know those nodes underneath aren't getting much light already. I'll check tomorrow and see what's up for my game plan.
thanks again!
@forcode1123, i see, i was curious of the 24 hours because i dont think ive seen that technique before.
if that's the case with your scrog net, bring it down and tuck the leaves under the net and stretch it out a little bit horizontally until the middle part of the "new" nodes pop out a little bit and then raise the scrog net that way you can accommodate for the overgrowing as well as being able to LST at the same time. the last week of stretch, i'd leave the scrog net where it is.
hello my fellow gardener I think you are over looking the humidity . that low is going to hurt your plant when a young sprout it wants 80 % toss a dome on it :) in veg around 70 but will be happy even at 60 % you need a humidifier , dome is no good at this point as it will need to breath . try and mist your plant if cant reach this higher humidity for temp reasons ( google preferred times ) , hemis will look like little bananas and are easy to spot have no fear pay attention and give her love don't stress her to much in flower you will not get any you humidity is good for budding but could be a bit higher to start . I really think this will help your veg cycle and the speed of your plants growth happy gardening love the diary
@Mongler1187 thanks for the advice. even with a humidifier I still can't get it above 50. she's doing well in low humidity 19 weeks in. my biggest fear after harvest it's going to dry way too fast at 40-50% humidity.
